chapter 8 new gu?

After speaking with my father i returned to my dorm room. Once there i sat and focused on what had formed in me. Or should i say what gu i refined, since i felt a connection to a new gu once i made my speech.

This new gu refined itself in my body in my own heart. I tried to call it out with the connection i had with it but to no avail. I then focused on it like i do my aperture, and after some time i felt my consciousness enter a dark world.

Inside of that dark world was only one thing, no... one person. That person was me, my Shuidi zhide Hu form. I stood there unmoving, dressed in a white tank black shorts and bandages wrapped around my fists.

It's shaped like me but.... it's a gu. Is this my self gu? Is everyone else able to refine self gu simply by understanding oneself? Most importantly what does my self gu do? Wait this self gu is rank 1 but in the story two mortals were able to refine an immortal self gu. So does that mean theirs already an immortal level self gu?

I then used some primeval essence and activated self gu but nothing happened. I even used up all my primeval essence in beggar moth gu but nothing happened.

Wait in the story self gu didn't do much at first only speaking with ren zu, it wasn't until it took a bite out of love that it had the power of self love, and it wasn't until it bit strength gu that it became something like self strength.

Then my self gu won't do anything till it eats another gu? I have so many questions but i have other things to worry about. It's a good thing I've been looking for places to rent while out looking for gu.

The next day i signed a lease for a room with a small enclosed backyard. Its not much but its worth two primeval essence stones a month. I could have found a cheaper place but i need a place with a back yard so that my mirrored willows grow well.

For the next two days i moved all of my belongings into my new home. Thank to my path i didn't really have any problems with that, it was mainly just me organizing that took forever.

Soon the graduation ceremony took place with Fose giving a very long speach. Which i tuned out, i spent a few days trying things with self gu, but nothing worked out the way i wanted it to.

At the end of the graduation ceremony everyone was given a gu badge. The gu badge was a green droplet this is the rank 1 gu master badge. That reminds me i now have to complete 2 missions a month for the clan.

The mission can be posted by the clan, clan members, visitors, and other clans, but your only allowed to accept missions based on your rank. Of course pay is higher for higher ranks.

So instead of wasting my time with low rank missions i should rank up to rank 2 as soon as i can. As fresh new graduates were exempt from the mandatory monthly missions for two months. With that time and all the primeval essence stones I've saved i plan on ranking up.

So for the next one and half months besides taking care of my body all i did was cultivate my aperture, and since i didn't have to waste time going to school and with a supply of primeval essence stones i managed to reach rank 1 peak stage.

It's not enough though now instead of nurturing my aperture all i have to do is break through the wall to reach rank 2. Even heaven refinement demon venerable took at least two days to breakthrough as he had to slowly refill his primeval sea essence as he wore down the wall.

Unlike him though i only took one day and it was all thanks to beggar moth gu. Since it had my rank 1 peak stage primeval essence. This gu was why i had the confidence of breaking through so quick.

Soon my primeval sea essence was now refilling with a light red primeval sea essence. I've broken through now i have to go report my improvement to the clan. After i cleaned up after my self and went outside a little kid went up to me.

Lil kid[ young master, Lori has called for you.]

Shu[ Oh in that case I'll go see her right away.]

Lori is my aunt, so much time has passed i wonder what she wants. I made my way to a large sized home that looked even better than my fathers home. My aunt has been working hard in the merchant caravan for years I'm sure she has a fortune.

Aunt[ ah little shu your finally here.]

Shu[ Sorry aunt i was deep into cultivating, but i came as soon as i heard you were looking for me.]

Aunt[ i can see that... to think you'd already be at rank 2 by now. At this rate you'll pass your father.]

Shu[ I've been working hard aunt thats all i can say.]

Shu[ anyways aunt did you need something? I'll try to help to the best of my abilities, but i will soon have to do the mandatory monthly missions.]

Aunt[ oh... right i called you because i found one of the gu's you've asked me to get you if possible.]

Shu[ Oh which one aunt?]

She opened up her palm and inside was a plain looking rock.]

Shu[ Thats stealth rock gu, perfect with this I'll literally be an unseen powerhouse.]

Now that I'm rank 2 i can fuse that gu and become completely invisible.

Aunt[ you plan to use this gu? Are you planning on being a nudist? You do know you have to be butt naked to use it? Thats why only transformation path gu masters use this gu.]

Shu[ I won't hide it from you aunt, i know of a fusion that uses this gu and another common gu to make a new gu that does the same as stealth rock gu but without the user having to be naked.]

Aunt[ is that so? In that case how about you tell me it. I'll have my refiner make it for you for free and you won't have to pay for anything.]

That would save me time and money..... if it was anyone else i wouldn't do it but it's my aunt. I can trust this woman with a lot.

Shu[ Alright aunt that sounds good, the other gu that fuses with stealth rock gu is fish scale gu. The final product is called stealth scale gu.]

Aunt[ its just fish scale gu? Thats great once i see that this stealth scale gu is legit. I'll have it delivered to you, then i can get some more stealth rock gu to refine more steath scale gu for my family.]

Shu[ I look forward to it aunt, but if you don't mind i was on my way to report my advancement to the clan.]

Aunt[ ah, go ahead I've got to go see this gu for myself, stay safe shu.]

With that she left, letting me take my leave for the clan board. Where requests and reports are made, it didn't take long for me to report my improvement. With that done my gu master badge was now two red droplets to indicate my rank.

While I'm at it i might as well accept a mission, I'll be sure to complete it once i get stealth scale gu. Better yet with stealth scale gu I'll be able to do much "harder" missions that pay well. Once i found a mission that seemed good i accepted it and left.

I made my way to a large building that had a river going through it. This is the refinement house, where those who specialize in refining gu can be hired to refine gu. I really only had two gu to rank up and they were jab gu and healing membrane gu. If i don't know the refinement recipe i have to pay a price and the rarer the gu the more expensive it is.

Jab gu was cheap at a total of 25 primeval essence stones, while healing membrane gu cost me 40 primeval essence stones. I then went to the clans gu shop and bought three drop of strength gu for 30 primeval essence stones.

Back at home i sat and focused on two gu. They were my drop of strength gu i was focusing on fusing them, and it was going well untill i lost a little focus causing the fusion to fail. Both gu were fine but i felt a pain in my soul making me feel like i hadn't slept for a whole day.

The next day after some rest i attempted the fusion once again, and this time it was a success. Drop of strength gu was now rank 2, their isn't much change to what it does. The strength given is the same and so is the cost. Only the time changed, what was a minute limit is now five.

That was only somewhat easy because drop of strength gu is my vital gu. My connection with it is much deeper allowing me to feel the fusion process much better. If it were any other gu I'd still be unable to rank it up.

Though i did notice something odd as i was focusing on my connection with my gu. My self gu now had the aurora of a rank 2 gu. When did it rank up? I didn't do anything to it for it to rank up. Did it.... perhaps rank up because i did?

I then tried activating it but like before nothing happened. If only the story didn't get cancelled we would've found out more about self gu. As i was thinking someone knocked on my door. Opening the door i saw a rank 1 gu master.

I know this guy hes one of my aunts slaves. He handed me a small petrified looking carp. This is sleath scale her refiner already succeed. It was indeed a good choice to tell her about the fusion recipe. Entering my home again i activated speath scale gu.

My entire body went invisible, from using it i could tell it takes 1% primeval sea essence per 3 minutes. Good now all thats left is the gu i paid to rank up. I'm sure their done by now.

I made my way back to the gu refinement house, and i was right both gu were successfully ranked up. Good i can finally go outside the clan and earn some money. I've been working so hard for this.
