The next morning Xiong village was in an uproar. An angry envoy from the Gu Yue village had come complaining to Xiong village about Gu Guangzhi's actions and demanded a hefty compensation. All the Xiong clan leaders went aghast when they heard about this.

"I knew Gu Guangzhi was strong but I didn't expect him to be this strong! He attacked the Gu Yue village by his own! It would've been nice if he actually took down that Fang Zheng!", said Xiong Jin Bo.

"Don't encourage him Jin Bo! This isn't a silly matter. If he was so strong, he should've supported the clan more instead of dragging us all into this mess! Look how much compensation the Gu Yue clan is asking us! We must punish him thoroughly.", said an annoyed elder. He was the one that bought Cleansing Gu to pull Gu Guangzhi into his faction. He clearly didn't let go of what happened.

"Maybe that rumor about him having external primeval essence in his aperture is really true and he wanted to take his revenge on the Gu Yue clan before he became completely useless?", suggested another elder.

"Alright, Go get Gu Guangzhi. I need to find out more about this.", said the clan leader.

Yuan Shuren was giddy today. When he heard the clan leader's orders to bring in Gu Guangzhi after listening to the envoy's complaints, he volunteered for the task. "So, you're here! You did a good thing by not trying to escape. If you did, we might have had to send a group after you to exterminate you. Personally I would've preferred that. But this is okay too. I'm so looking forward to seeing how the clan leader will punish you.", said Yuan Shuren gloating at Gu Guangzhi.

Gu Guangzhi was not in a mood to fend off the remarks made by Yuan Shuren. He looked very depressed. Even his water wolf looked sad at the state of Gu Guangzhi. Yuan shuren motioned to the group of elders present at his side to restrict the water wolf. Obviously, they came prepared. They used a Rank 3 Ensnarement fog Gu to force the water wolf back into Gu Guangzhi's head band and then used Storage lock Gu on the head band. The water wolf struggled a bit but the elders didn't find it too difficult with the help of Ensnarement fog Gu.

"Huh?", responded a confused Gu Guangzhi.

"You know, that slave girl you used to go meet in the forest. What? You thought the clan wouldn't find out? If Bai clan can find out about your whereabouts, why can't we? The Jiao faction elders were worried that you were getting close to some outsider slave girl while ignoring your own wife so the clan leader created a small mission to take care of her. If I knew your aperture was going to become useless due to external primeval essence so soon and you were going to attack Gu Yue village as a last ditch effort, maybe I would've spared you that small joy in your life. Haha.", explained Yuan Shuren.

Gu Guangzhi was just completely silent as he heard this. His breathing became more labored as he tried to control himself. Then he started laughing. He thought to himself, 'Hahaha. I was a fool to think that only a demon like Fang Yuan could do something like this. How could I forget that I live in a world full of demons!' Yuan Shuren thought that Gu Guangzhi had gone mad. The Iron snake Gu that was restricting Gu Guangzhi showed signs of struggling.

"You dumb fuck! You've dug your own grave!", said a smiling Yu Wen Zi, "Why do you think Gu Guangzhi attacked Gu Yue village?"

"Yu Wen Zi, mind your tongue. Even Jin Bo won't be able to save you if you speak like that again to me!". Yuan Shuren then said while turning towards Gu Guangzhi, "Don't tell me it's because of that slave girl. Haha. Gu Guangzhi, did you think that Gu Yue clan killed that girl?" However, as he turned around, his face turned pale.

Gu Guangzhi used Rank 2 Mountain bear Innate strength Gu. A Mountain bear beast phantom enveloped his body. He tore the Iron snake apart and using both the hands of the beast phantom, he squished Yuan Shuren's head into paste.

A few injured elders made their way to clan leaders pavilion. Seeing their appearances, every one present was shocked. "What happened to all of you? Where is Gu Guangzhi?", asked the clan leader.

"He killed Yuan Shuren and escaped along with Yu Wen Zi.", said an injured elder keeping his head down in shame.

"What? Didn't you use Suppress aperture Gu on Gu Guangzhi? That was the strongest one we had in our treasury. It should've easily suppressed up to forty percent of his aperture for nearly two hours! He couldn't have had access to any of his primeval essence with his D-grade aptitude during that time.", said the exasperated clan leader.

"We did use it but Gu Guangzhi was able to use his primeval essence none the less. But that wasn't the biggest problem. Yu Wen Zi had been hiding his strength this entire time. His Fire escape Gu… it was a Rank 5 gu worm!"
