Extreme Focus Gu

This chapter really does lack content but I just wanted to introduce the readers to some gu which will be commonly used throughout the story right here at the beginning.

Wei Huan grabbed the list handed to him by Tai Qing, he scrunched his face as he looked at the list which said:

Bookworm Gu

Appearance: Bookworm is like a silkworm, although it has a head, body and stomach, three distinct parts, its body looks like a cocoon overall, round and cute. Its body is white, but the surface had a layer of enamel, giving off an oily glow. Holding it in one's hand, it is round and smooth, like a high grade porcelain vase.

Bookworm was a storage, it used to stored knowledge and information. The Gu master can then recall the information like his own knowledge.

This gu is rare, comparable to the liquor worm"

Refinement Recipes: It's refinement recipes upto rank three are well known however, above rank three, the recipe of this Gu worm is scarcely found.

"This gu... It seems quite extraordinary, however it doesn't seem to be useful as a vital gu. Can't I simply choose a different gu as my vital gu and use this one seperately?" Wei Huan shook his head as he thought.

Heart Engraved Gu appearance was like a ladybug and was finger sized. Its whole body was scarlet red, and on its round carapace were four white heart shaped spots

Effect: Heart Engraved Gu ability, granting a deep memory like it was etched into one's bones and heart. As example the contents could not be forgotten even if Gu Master wanted to forget them as if they were deeply imprinted into Gu Master heart.

Rank differences:

The number of white hearts on the body of the ladybug increases according to rank. For example, at rank 1, the number of hearts on the Carapace are 1. At rank two, they are two and so on.

Refinement Recipes:

The Gu recipes of Heart Engraved Gu can be found scarcely however, they are more common than rank 4 recipes of gu worms like the bookworm Gu."

"This gu is practically the same as the bookworm Gu. Let's just keep looking..."

"Letter Gu

Appearance: This gu worm appears as a huge spider with white and rough carapace on it's body, similar to the texture and appearance of parchment paper.

Effect: This gu worm can produce large amounts of parchment paper, it makes parchment paper of progressively higher quality as the rank increases.

This gu is solely responsible for the world's paper production.

Refinement Recipes: This gu's refinement recipes can be commonly found and are no secret among gu masters."

"This gu worm is completely useless as a vital gu!! What kind of crazy person would even suggest that?!" Wei Huan thought, feeling shocked,

"Vine Information Gu

Appearance: The Gu was like a long vine, having many large jade green leaves.

Effect: This gu is almost like a poor man's bookworm gu, it can store small amounts of the user's information."

Refinement Recipes: Very few refinement recipes of this Gu exist as it is rarely used.

Appearance: It looks like an armadillo with a pitch black carapace, appearing almost like an abyss. This armadillo has two antenna and many legs.

Effect: This gu worm is similar to a photo/video gu. This gu displays images in the form of shadows displayed on surfaces like walls, floors, etc when used.

This gu is extremely useful for gu masters who collect and sell information, almost like a photo video gu which can be used multiple times.

Refinement Recipes: Many refinement recipes are known for this gu."

"This gu is actually quite good... I really hope this isn't the end of the list...." Wei Huan thought as he looked down further,

"Paper Crane Gu

Appearance: It appears like a typical origami crane with the only difference being that it lacks the natural flexibility of paper.

Effect: This gu is used for transportation of messages and information, typically via letter gu.

Refinement Recipes: The Refinement Recipes are widely available and not kept a secret."

This gu has many variations and can also appear in different colours and shapes."

"Isn't this a one-time-use gu?! Who the hell wrote this list?!" Wei Huan wanted to yell,

"White Paper Gu

Appearance: Appears like a typical piece of white paper without any text nor characters written on it.

Effect: This gu is similar to the rank three poison vow gu with the difference that the alliance agreement formed using this gu is a bit stronger and has a far lesser punishment for violating it.

Refinement Recipes: Certain gu recipes for the rank 2 and 3 versions have been sourced from inheritances."

"This gu is actually quite extraordinary, finally! Something which I would want to keep as my vital gu" Wei Huan felt happy as he said,

"Oh? What's this?" Wei Huan thought as he narrowed his eyes at another gu worm on the list,

Appearance: Appears almost like a large, porcelain white coloured bee with a small eye at it's mid-section.

Effect: It allows the user to focus on a specific task for large periods of time, even boosting their capabilities temporarily. This effect is increased further when used to investigate.

This gu is commonly used by information path gu masters to find loopholes in alliance agreements. Thus, it was categorised as information path rather than wisdom path.

Refinement Recipes: Gu recipes for this gu worm are typically not seen or heard about. They exist only in the minds of high level information path gu masters or organisations
