The Truth 1

"Let's talk." I said to Shawn. He nodded in agreement and followed me.

I lead tha way the the rose garden. I walked up the pavillion. I came to a stop and turned around and looked at Shawn's face. His expression was tense and fearful. His dark blue eyes looking at me intently.

"Shawn, I want to say sorry to what happend last night. My memories just came back and I became frantic and emotional." I said and sighed.

"Jill." Shawn called me by my old name and looked at me with so much affection. "Can you forgive me?"

I look at Shawn's dark blue eyes. I know he was sorry from the bottom of his heart.

"Shawn, you don't need to apologize to me. You are not the one at fault."

"But because of me... I didn't hear you out. Like you said I didn't give you a chance to explain. Because of that you... you jumped off a cliff and lost our baby. I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry." Shawn's voice was shivering like he was about to cry. I can see he clench his fists hard. "If I just had been clear headed and didn't let my anger get the best of me then I should have known that Julia was behind this." His voice turned into anger.

I shook my head. "No Shawn, it's not your fault. Don't blame yourself. You were also a victim to this evil scheme." I reached for his hand and hold it. "Do you want to know the truth? Do you think you can handle it?"

Shawn looked at me in the eyes for a while. I can feel his passion and resolve. He nodded his head.

"That day when I fell from the cliff, I didn't commit suicide. I didn't jump with my own will." I looked at his face seriously.

First he looked at me on confusion and then he realized something.

"Don't tell me...Julia?" Shawn didn't finish his question but I knew he had thought correctly. I nodded my head.

"That bitch! How can she do such a thing?!" Shawn was full of anger. "You have treated her as a real sister. You loved her."

"Apparently she really is my sister. Well half sister." I said as a matter of fact.

Shawn was surprised. "Then why did she do this things?"

I let go Shawn's hand. I turned and looked at the flower garden. It was winter so the roses were not in bloom. It felt sad and barren.

"Daddy and Victoria had a relationship in their youth. Apparently the mother-daughter claim that my mother snatched daddy away from them. But in my heart I don't believe them." I said. "They have always been scheming behind me and daddy's back. They want the Williams' fortune for themselves saying that it was rightfully theirs. And Julia wants you for herself." I looked at Shawn with sadness.

"Nonsense!" Shawn said with conviction. "I would never love Julia. I would never be her. Your the only one I love."

"That's why she did that. To get me out of the picture. But I guess it didn't go as they planned. I survived and now I have returned."

There was a moment of silence.
