Chapter 1: Rose
"You should be ashamed of what you did!" Angela shouted, she was throwing things on the ground.
"And you should get out Angela! You're not helping!" Sebastian replied.
Hearing what Sebastian said, Angela walked and slam the door on her way out. She is pissed.
"What a sister!" Sebastian said with a frown.
After a while…
He's strolling on the streets, thinking about what may happen at work.
"I'm so sorry" he cried while looking at his wife's picture.
An old lady asked him, "Are you okay?".
"No" he answered.
The old lady gave him a rose.
"Thank you, ma'am" he whispered.
"No, thank you for protecting this country" the lady smiled and walked off.
He felt a little at ease with what the old lady said.
He went to his work with everybody's attention goes to him.
"I told you to rest!" His boss, Krigz said.
Another soldier interrupted their talking, and said "Why does he need to rest? He's the reason for his wife's death!"
Sebastian clenched his fist, he grabbed the Soldier's collar.
"Don't you ever talk about my wife!" he said.
Before he could punch the soldier, Krigz stopped and separated them.
Krigz pulled Sebastian into his office.
"Just go home Sebastian"
"Why? I can work!"
"See what you just did to that Soldier? You almost punched him!"Krigz shook his head.
"He almost deserved it!"
"No, go home. Your emotions are affecting our work" Krigz pushed Sebastian out of his office.
"Go to your daughter, mourn with her. That's what you need right now, you need to mourn" Krigz added.
Sebastian felt a little worried about his daughter Amy. Amy is already in college, she's taking Political Science as a course.
He went to Amy's Dorm to
visit her.
"Amy! Your father's here!" Yumi said, Amy's best friend and roommate.
Amy got up from her bed and went to open the door.
"What are you doing here?" Amy said coldly.
"I'm checking up on you" Sebastian replied.
"I don't need you, everybody doesn't" Amy slammed the door in her father's face.
About what just happened, Sebastian figured out that Amy is still angry at him. He left the rose that the old lady gave him earlier at Amy's doorstep.
Sebastian went back to his house thinking that he is affecting his work and his daughter hates him.
"I'm so sorry hun. I left you in that minefield. I never thought it was a minefield. I hope you forgive me" Sebastian cried,hugging his wife's dress.
He spent the day at his house, sleeping and crying.
