Miranda Crowmark

When doctors came the next day, they saw that Damon had begun to demonize. His whole body started to twist in unnatural ways, a grotesque sight as he struggled against his restraints and tried to scream. He would cry for Lilith, calling in an agonized, ragged voice, begging her to abandon him.

The doctors locked him up in a prison cell, so he could wait until the demonization process was finished. It took two years for him to feel slightly better. However, after his twentieth birthday, he had a visitor who turned his world upside down.

Damon never knew this man, and he introduced himself as Arnold, who murdered Lilith and Damon's grandfather. Damon wanted to rip his heart out but was restrained in his cell. The man checked if anyone was listening to their conversation. When he found out no one was listening, he explained everything in detail, how he started a fight with another demon in that neighborhood to assassinate the girl and her parents, how Arnold was the one who crushed Damon's grandfather's skull, and how he killed his grandmother Klara right after Damon was put in the cell.

He was making fun of Damon with no apparent reason. Damon couldn't even speak human words right now. All he could do was growl and stare at him. When Arnold had his fun, he said before leaving. "Miranda said hi!"

Damon was crushed. He realized that it was Miranda who started this whole killing spree. To avoid marriage. But he couldn't understand one. Why Lilith? Why? Why? Why? Damon's eyelids kept twitching. Suddenly he heard the voice that had been silent in his head for ages. The demon said something. "I can help you."

"Help me?" Damon was shaking in his restraints. Right now, all he wanted to do was tear Miranda apart. Limb from limb. "You can help me?! You left me all alone!" Damon shouted. Without a demonic voice in his head, he was feeling lonely and betrayed.

"I can give you what you need." The voice told him that he would help him escape the cell for a condition. "Of course, you will do something for me as well."

Damon was burning in rage. He would have given everything as long as he could avenge Lilith and his grandparents. He asked about the condition. "What's the price?"

"Kill them." Suddenly demon's voice within his head turned weak. It sounded as if he was crying. "Kill them all."

A few days passed, and Damon sat in a lotus position on the ground. He learned how to leave his body in astral form and traveled to Miranda's house. When he first saw her, his hands were itching to stab her throat with his claws. However, he decided that would not be enough. She must pay; she must suffer.

He was utterly invisible to the rest of the people, including demons. However, he could show himself if he wished to. Including, he could become visible only to one person. After he found Miranda, who was in class surrounded by her classmates, Damon smirked.

Miranda was looking gorgeous. She was one of the popular types and looked as beautiful as she always did. Her blonde hair fell gracefully, giving her a perfect image as a girl. Even more importantly, she was loved by her friends very much. They made her happy, and Damon saw this as the perfect opportunity to strike.

He entered the classroom through the window and appeared right before her. He looked like a demon from fairytales. A shadowy figure, horns with bright white fangs, red eyes.

Miranda gasped, and her friends looked over at her. They couldn't see Damon, as he was visible only to her. He grabbed her by the neck and whispered harshly into her ear before throwing her into the wall.

"I want my revenge."

The teachers thought this might be demonic possession, so they quickly called the authorities. She stared with teary eyes at a dark shadow-like creature. Suddenly, Damon removed the shadow from his face and revealed the smirk. Instead of regular human teeth, his smile revealed many fangs.

"Hey, Miranda!" Damon said with a distorted and deep voice. Damon's red eyes glowed brightly. His entire body was engulfed in the dark shadow, which was moving like black fire. He lifted her into the air and threw her off the seat.

Miranda couldn't understand how this could be happening. Then she realized that Damon was a demon. She shouted at him in rage. "Damon, what have you done?! You're a demon now?!"

Damon did not answer. Instead, he smiled while waiting for the police to come for Miranda. He knew it was not Miranda, who planned the murders, but her father. However, Damon had no way of reaching that man. Instead, Damon decided to wait for him to come.

Miranda tried to stand up a couple of times. However, she would receive a kick into her side.

"Stay on the floor, bitch." Damon smirked.

"Stop this, Damon!" She screamed after Damon kicked her back to the ground. "What's wrong with you?!"

"Hehe!~" Damon chuckled.

None of Miranda's classmates couldn't see Damon. So she looked like she was talking to thin air. They backed away, thinking she went crazy or seeing hallucinations due to demonic possession.

Soon the police arrived and quickly ran to the second floor and entered the classroom where the demon was torturing Miranda. They promptly put handcuffs on Miranda's hands to prevent her from harming anyone.

When the police locked Miranda up, she was screaming at them, trying to prove that there was a demon in the class. Damon was smiling as they dragged Miranda out of the classroom. Damon followed them. He decided he would take his time killing her. However, his plan wasn't to kill her. He decided to kill everyone who might stand in his way.

His astral body has many powers, including that invisibility, shadow and electricity control, illusions, and even moving through solid objects. At the same time, Damon's physical body acquired immense strength, flight, weather manipulation, and durability. It turned out that Damon's demon was a mighty one.

The only reason it never gave him any powers was so Damon could have an everyday life among humans. However, Damon's sanity was already broken in the demon's eyes. There is no way he could live a normal life anymore. Damon was a host of a demon, so his mind was already unstable. But now, it was broken, and it is unknown if he will ever recover. In the eyes of Damon's inner demon, the only possible way to fix this is to get revenge.

When Miranda was taken to the hospital by the authorities, they restrained her to the bed so she couldn't move or harm anyone. She kept shouting and pointing at Damon, who stood beside her and smiled. However, as no one could see or touch him, they assumed that she was being possessed. Police officers left the room after calling for her father to inform him about the situation. Only three people were left in the room, doctor Avian, Damon, and Miranda. Miranda kept pleading with Avian to release her and tried proving that she was not possessed, but she couldn't. As she lay in bed, Damon began choking her and watched the doctor who was on his phone.

"Miss Crowmark!" Avian shouted when he noticed the choking marks. He tried to pull away the invisible hand. However, he couldn't even touch it. He knew this was different from a regular demonic possession because there were signs of external force strangling her neck. During demonic transformation, it is the body itself that shifts and breaks. Something was wrong. Suddenly, he noticed that Miranda's restraints were released.

Avian looked around the room and quickly walked out to call for help. He did not know how to deal with this situation. If Miranda told the truth, he knew it was unsafe to be near her. She said a demon wants to kill her, which means the demon is in the room. He can't see or touch it. However, the demon might be able to harm him. So he explained to his superiors what happened and told them that he would not be risking his life over a stranger.

Damon sat on the chair for guests and chuckled while staring at panicked Miranda. She was finally able to move her hands as Damon released the restraints. Her wrists were hurting, and red bruises were visible on them because she was tied too tightly. Damon chuckled and said to her. "Go on! You're free to go!"

She looked at him with disgust in her eyes. She sat up, saying, "You're a freak!".

Damon chuckled again as his half-body passed through the bed behind her. "I've always been a freak!". His face was covered with shadow again, except for his white fangs that shined as bright as diamonds in the darkness.

As Damon breathed near her ear, Miranda tensed. She gripped the sheets and held her breath as the demon laughed again and whispered something she didn't understand. Then he let out another chuckle. "What's wrong? Where is your usual attitude toward me?!"

Miranda felt the sweat on her forehead trickle down her back. The room was silent now, the only noise coming from beating their hearts. She couldn't see him anymore, but she knew he had moved away to somewhere else. As she looked around the room, she suddenly saw something shining. It was a mirror that had its reflection facing her direction. Miranda gasped, realizing what was in the mirror. "No…no….this is impossible..!"

Her heart began thumping hard against her chest. It felt as if someone was squeezing it tightly. She could hear every sound and smell every smell in the room. She couldn't believe her eyes. Was she dreaming?

In her mind, she saw herself standing in front of her own mother's funeral. She saw the priest, the cemetery, the coffin and flowers lying on it. The wind blew and made the grass fly around. Miranda could hear her mom's voice. "You must come home soon..my little angel…."

But that was not what she was seeing now. Her mother's ghostly figure was sitting on her lap, hugging her tightly. She screamed in panic, "No!! Stay away!!!".

Her mother caressed her cheeks gently, whispering, "My baby girl…come home,…come home…."

Suddenly her mother disappeared. Miranda woke up immediately with blood flowing out of her mouth. She coughed uncontrollably. Her eyes were wide open as she tried to catch her breath. A few seconds later, she calmed down. She wiped her mouth, but the blood was still present in her mouth. The whole incident scared her. She remembered what had just happened and what she had seen.

Miranda sat there thinking about it for a moment, but her thoughts were interrupted by shouting from the hall. She quickly recognized the voice that belonged to her father.

"Dad!" screamed as loud as she could. The shouts grew louder, and she began running outside. She wanted to tell her dad everything but stopped in the midstep. She froze on the spot as her vision blurred. Her head became dizzy, and she collapsed to the ground.

Damon slowly walked to Miranda's bedside. "I will torture you until you go insane, and then I will kill you.".
