ANA’s POV
What information do I have about what happened to me? Wasn’t it just an accident?
I just walked around my room, holding my head. And I was confused as well, if I can believe everything they say. And what kind of revenge is Martin referring to? Who will we exact our revenge on?
I bit my nails to remember the image that came to my mind. I just stopped thinking when I felt someone enter my room.
“Ana.” I sighed and turned to face Martin, who gave me a tired smile. “Are you sure... you’re okay?” asked Martin, as he approached where I was standing. I turned away from him and went to the terrace to look at the Monticello land.
I clenched my fists and took a deep breath. “Will you tell me the truth when I say I’m fine?” I felt he was stunned because he didn't respond, so I smiled and said, “You’re still not going to tell, aren’t you? You’re just waiting for me to remember.”
How many times have I considered everything Martin said? Many images come to mind, and I'm uncertain if they happened.
In my head, I hear some familiar voices, but I’m not sure who they are. When I try to recall everything that happened before the accident, my head hurts even more.
“Ana.”
I sighed and smiled. “It’s difficult to remember, Martin,” I said. “I want you to confess to me, and I’ll believe you because I know you won’t lie to me.”
I had my doubts about him at first, thinking he was just lying to keep me from going back to Mateo. But after seeing Mateo’s new wife with my own eyes, I believed what he was saying about Mateo and me not being an actual couple.
That maybe they all know I’m dead.
“I want to know... what’s going on, and I would rather not turn a blind eye or go deaf just to believe what I deserve.” I said. When I noticed tears in my eyes, I wipe it.
His eyes widened when he noticed my tears. “Damn!” he was about to hold me, but I stopped him, and I laughed, as I wiped my tears.
I took a deep breath and smiled. “I only have one request before I listen to what you have to say...” I stared at him and clenched my fists. “All I want to do is see Mateo one more time, because this may be the last time I remember loving him.”
He was even more taken aback by what I said, but I only heard him sigh.
“Fine. I’ll tell you everything, but this is the last time I’ll do you a favor. In the end, they’ll be hurt, not you,” said Martin, as he turned his back on me. I just looked at him, but he didn't look back at me.
“Get ready because we’re going somewhere.” He left me standing on the terrace. I sighed and followed what he said.
Her maid had made a lovely dress for me. And I looked in the mirror to see my entire body. My accident injuries seem to heal. My entire body has returned to normal, but... I grabbed and rubbed the seam on my right cheek when I noticed it.
This is proof that I was involved in an accident 5 years ago. I don’t remember what almost killed me, but if it hadn’t been for Martin, it has completely erased me from this world, for which I am thankful.
When I looked in the mirror again, I was surprised by what I saw... It was me, with multiple wounds. “W-what...?” I trembled and backed away from the mirror.
“Fight, Ana. Take revenge on those who harmed us. Be an Ana Mystica.”
I shivered and shook my head again before closing my eyes and taking a deep breath. When I saw it had returned to normal, I sat on the bed, clutching my chest, because I was nervous.
What kind of revenge is he talking about? And What fight is he talking about? What for? and for whom?
Before I left my room, I just sighed and held my head.
I even jumped when someone spoke to me. “Lady Ana, President Martin is in the car waiting for you.” And I breathed a sigh of relief that it was one of Martin’s drivers.
I nodded and stood up to leave the room. He assists me in walking to Martin’s location.
Even though I can’t see inside the car, I have the feeling that Martin is already inside.
“Lady Ana, come on in.” Said the driver. Before I got in the car, I thanked him for opening the door for me.
Martin and I looked at each other as I entered the car, but I just looked away because I was ashamed of what I was saying to him. I know I’m doing something wrong, but he can’t blame me for why I need answers to my questions.
I just heard Martin's sigh, so I clenched my fists. “Are you okay?” asked Martin. “If you want to rest first, we can cancel our appointment today.” I just shook my head and leaned back, then gazed out the window.
“I’m fine, and I’m the one who asked for a favor, so we should keep going,” I said. We never spoke again after that. Martin feels the same way because he knows I’m mad at him for not telling me the truth yet.
No. I don’t despise him. Because I know he only wants what's best for me, but that’s not what I need right now. Because what I need is the truth, the truth that has the possibility of changing my life.
We didn’t say anything until the car came to a stop. But I frowned when I realized I wasn’t familiar with the location Martin had taken me to.
“Martin, where are we?” I asked, looking at him.
He looked at me. “You’ll see.”
I just kept my mouth shut and said nothing else. He simply opened the door for us, and one of his employees assisted me in getting out of the car.
I was even surprised to see so many men dressed in black standing in front of the large door. And I was still stunned when Martin took my hand, so I turned to face him.
He gave me a mask.
“Put it on,” I just nodded, and I did as he said.
He gripped my hand tightly as we began walking towards the men in front of the big door, and he said something I couldn't understand.
What is Martin saying?
The men bowed to us and opened the door completely, allowing us to enter. I was still surprised to see so many people inside the building. I just grabbed Martin's arm and hid behind him.
“Martin has arrived!”
“Yo, bro!”
“Is that Ana?”
“She’s definitely alive!”
I was stunned when I noticed Martin gripped my hand.
“Are you going to tell her?”
My eyes widened as I heard a familiar voice, so I went out behind Martin and I recognized who he was.
“Yo!” he exclaimed. He is Cole, the doctor who looked after me after I went unconscious. What is he doing here?
“So, when she discovers the truth, the plan will go ahead?”
I turned to look at the girl with blue hair--wait... She looks like the other guy.
“Hello, my name is Arielle!”
I know her, but I’m not sure where I saw her. I just looked at the men inside this building, and it looks like I know who they were. They are friends with Martin.
“That fucker, Mateo! He started a fight at the bar last night!”
When I heard my husband’s name, I was taken aback, and I just bowed down with my fists clenched... All I want now is to see my husband.
“Klein.”
“Oops, sorry, go ahead.”
Martin said nothing, but led me into a room. My eyes widened when the lights came on because of what I saw.
A white board showing the Villalobos family, including Chloe and three unknown men. It’s as if they connected the dots.
I let go of his hand and walked over to the board. What is it? Why are there pictures here?
In a panic, I looked at the table with plenty of papers and other pictures, so I looked at those as well. I had just come to a halt when I noticed a picture of a familiar car.
“What’s this? W-what does this mean, Martin? What are these pictures?!” I asked, and confused, as I examined the photos of the Villalobos family and the car that I recognized one by one. “What is this? T-tell me, please? Why are there pictures here? Martin!”
I look at him while I was crying, but Martin didn't respond, so I approached him quickly. “Martin! Tell me what this means! Why did you bring me here? Why do you have pictures of them?” I yelled. As I hit him, my tears fell.
“Martin, what? I’m not playing with you! What are these pictures? Why do you have this? Martin! Please! A-Answer m-me!” I sobbed weakly on the floor. “P-Please don’t torture me any longer. Tell me what's really going on!” I yelled, hitting his leg softly where he was facing me.
I just felt him kneel in front of me, and he caressed my cheek. “Therefore, I would rather not tell you the truth.” He sighed. “I want you to know everything yourself because I don’t even know what happened before the accident, but I’ll tell you everything because I don’t want to see you hurt or struggling.” he said. I just shook my head at him because I don’t understand what he is saying.
This is not why I went with him! I thought he would take me to Mateo before he’ll tell me everything.
“M-Martin—” I was stunned when he held my hand, so I closed my mouth.
“Please listen to me. I will explain everything,” he whispered, wiping my tears away before allowing me to stand and sit in a chair. “Until now, I am still investigating what is true and who is really to blame for why you had an accident.” said Martin, turning to look at the board and pointing to the pictures. “They are my primary suspects. And they are the only ones who can prove why your car's brakes failed.”
I was stunned in front of the board, taking in everything Martin said.
They couldn’t possibly do that to me. I know Mateo’s parents have a attitude, but I also know they would never commit such a heinous crime.
I’m married to Mateo, so they can’t be the suspects. Maybe Martin is just making a mistake.
He sighed and turned to face me. “Before anything else, I investigated the accident.” He stared at me. “Are you ready for what I’m about to say?”
I clenched my fist and covered my face. “Martin, remember what I said? I want to see Mateo first, but not in this way!” I yelled at him.
He stopped and shook his head. “No, Ana, you have to know everything before you meet him.” He said.
I stood up from my seat, and shaking my head. I didn’t think he would fool me.
“No, Martin. You’re not keeping your word. I want to trust you, and I would like to believe you, but the more I do, the less I want to listen to what you have to say.” I shook my head and walked out of the room, but I could still hear what he said.
“What if Mateo had cheated on you before the accident?”
I was taken aback. N-no. That is not true! Mateo loves me even though that we are married.
I turned to him and stared at him. “Please stop. I can’t listen to you any longer.” I said to him, shaking my head. And I won’t believe what he says anymore. “I don’t believe you anymore.” Instead of being annoyed with me, he just laughed and grinned.
“Even if you saw him in bed with a woman, and you run out of your house—”
“Enough!”
“— get in your car and drive away, even if it’s pouring outside! You were too upset about Mateo cheating on you—”
“I SAID ENOUGH!” I exclaimed.
“— you almost crash when you realize you're riding without brakes.”
“Please, stop it! I don’t believe you! You’re lying!” I covered my ears so I wouldn’t hear what he was saying, but he didn’t stop talking.
“— the one you were riding in fell off the cliff, and you were there, and they let you out—”
“STOP IT! I DON’T WANT TO HEAR YOUR VOICE!” I sat down and covered my ears with both of my hands.
“— that you’re no longer alive.”
Images flashed through my mind as Martin said his last words. When I saw what images were in my mind, my eyes widened, and I cried out in pain. “Ahh!” I was holding my head and my vision was getting blurry.
I no longer hear the surrounding disturbances. Likewise, I don’t know. Why is this happening to me? Stop it!
“Ana!”
I closed my eyes because of my headache. “M–Martin! My head hurts! Please help!” I was screaming in pain from the images that entered my mind.
Is all of this true? Is that the memory I lost? This happened leading up to the accident? I trembled on the floor.
“Oh my god, Ana! Martin, what are you doing?”
"I-I d-don’t k-know! I’d like to tell her everything!"
I’m crying because the images still don’t want to stop. I couldn’t do anything but call Martin to help me. “MARTIN!” I called out of his name. “Please help me! I can’t take it any longer!”
I was picked up and the last thing I remember was getting into the car before passing out.
This is where my life will change.

MARTIN’s POV
Damn! What did I do? I was going to tell her, but damn! I punched a wall while waiting for Cole. While Paris yelled at me, I just bowed down.
“We told you to tell her, but calm yourself, Martin! She also has trouble remembering! You’re a complete moron, jerk!” Paris shouted. I grabbed my head and let her yell at me for making a mistake.
I want her to believe in me. Not only that, but I want her to have faith in me. I’d like to have her!
Damn! Martin, you’re a fucking idiot!
I was taken aback when I heard two women fighting next to me, they worsen the situation.
“Is she all right? I’m worried!”
“Ana should be fine as long as you don't act in front of me!”
“I told you I would not lie!”
“I told you I would not lie... Whatever!”
“Oh, I’m not friends with Chloe, of course! I’m better than her!”
“I told you not to act in front of me! That’s not our priority here right now!”
“Alright, I’ll zip my mouth he-he...”
I frowned, and I stood up and faced the two women who were causing a commotion.
“Stop it, you two!” I was irritated with them. They remained silent and apologized. I just shook my head and sat back down to await Ana’s results.
Later, Cole exited the emergency room only a few minutes, so I stood up and approached him. “How is she?” I asked.
Cole sighed and shook his head, making me even more nervous. For her, I’m weak.
I know her. She’s a strong woman. I’d been looking for her for a long time and had done everything I could to find her. Now that I’ve found her, it’s not what I expected.
We will not meet again in this way. I promise something about that. I'll protect her, but it’s too late because she's already been harmed by others.
I couldn’t save her because it was too late. Not only that, but I promised my father I’d find Ana before he died.
I’m sorry, Dad. I’m taking too long to save her.
Cole coughed to draw my attention, so I turned to look at him. “I can’t afford to treat Ana because I can’t deal with her problem.” he sighed once again. “You must transport her to another country to analyze her condition.” He said.
I sighed. “Do I really need to do that? Is there really no other way for Ana to be okay?” I asked. I combed my hair because I was still worried about Ana’s condition.
Cole held me on my shoulder. “According to the examination I performed on her, her brain was damaged.” he shook his head. “I thought it would be best for her if you told her the truth, so she’d remember, but this is not what I expected. If she is not treated immediately, she will forget everything for the rest of her life,” he smiled, But I know it’s just to cheer me up.
“I want to save her, but that’s all I can do. You know I’m a pediatrician, but I know someone in another country who can help her,” he said as he tapped my shoulder and walked away in front of me.
I was punched through the wall as I closed my eyes. Damn! I’m sorry, Ana.
Ana exited the emergency room, so I approached her. When I see her like this, it only makes me angrier with myself. You’re such an idiot, Martin.
I ordered the nurses to take Ana to the top floor. F-ck. I picked up the phone and dialed my secretary's number.
“Please bring a helicopter to the hospital’s rooftop. We need to go to Korea immediately.” I said to my secretary, and I hung up the phone.
I returned my gaze to Ana, and I held her hand on the bed while we waited for the chopper.
“I’m sorry, please don’t leave me. I promise to protect you at all costs,” I whispered as I kissed her hand and closed my eyes.
Oh, f-ck. Please wake up!
