Katherine's sadness
In her apartment, Katherine did not sleep at all but instead stood by the window of her bedroom which was dimly lit because only the nightlight was on. silently, her gaze blankly looking forward, imagining how her life with Ferdinand would be if Irina took him back.
'Even when she was being curt at him, he was still trying to get close. What if she's being nice again? Maybe he'll just leave me right away? my money and this baby are not enough to hold him... He doesn't need us.' she said to herself, feeling shortness of breath, tighter because of her big belly because her pregnancy was already 9 months old, much like Daisy's previous pregnancy.
