Commotion

The man, Riccardo, did not fully understand what was happening, but the angry expression on Sophia's face and a weeping maid on her knees beside her let him know that something was wrong.

Sophia shook Layla's body, forcing her to look at her phone screen. She said, "tell him what that whore did!"

"Sophia, what nonsense are you talking about? Lillian is not a whore." Riccardo looked angry at the word used by Sophia.

The latter snorted at him. "You're the one who thinks like that."

What she was insinuating was probably the fact that Riccardo immediately associated the whore she mentioned with his woman.

Although it was clear who she meant, someone should not speak if there was no name mentioned.

Riccardo was a little embarrassed, but he seemed to insist that Sophia was wrong.

The latter shook Layla's body again to make her speak.

The maid was too scared to refuse, so she said in a trembling voice, "s-sir, I was ordered by Lady Lillian."
