Uniforming Up!!

Koi sat on the middle room sofa for fifteen minutes now, waiting for Airi to come out. His mind was calming a bit after thinking about various scenarios in his mind,

'She won't throw me out at least…. Or will she' as soon as he thought this, all the calmness turned haywire, and his brain again tried to come up with ideas as to what to cook, how will they get ingredients, what will they do throughout the day,

"God… I don't ask for much, but please save me from the Bad end!! This early!!" Koi prayed with his legs curled under his feet and head down, looking like a cat on the sofa. In the position of dogeza, he prayed from the depths of his heart when suddenly the voice of a door opening came into his ears,

"Mr Yamamoto, will you be kind enough to explain to me what you are doing?" Airi asked with a stiff smile, but her eyes weren't smiling; they seemed to be speaking,

'Is he a pervert!? Smelling my sofa! I didn't expect it from him….'

Koi straightened his back as he spoke hurriedly,

"I am sorry, Miss Ito. I am not doing anything suspicious!! Believe me… I was just… I was just," he stuttered at the end, piquing Airi's interest as she asked with a raised eyebrow,

"You were just what?"

Koi pondered, filled with embarrassment for a bit, but Airi's gaze was firm, so he finally confessed,

"I… I was praying to God… that you won't kick me out."

"I see", Airi replied while moving her hand to her mouth,

"Pu…" a little voice escaped her mouth, and soon she couldn't hold it back anymore,

"Puhahahaha", Airi began laughing uncontrollably, and Koi, who looked at her confused, spoke,

"Miss Ito?"

"Ahhh… I couldn't help myself," Airi laughed, holding her belly, and Koi couldn't figure out why she was laughing. When after a good five minutes of laughing, Airi finally calmed down and moved to Koi,

"Mr Yamamoto… you really do worry too much. Did I say I'll kick you out as punishment?" Koi stared at her face blankly because she was right. It was just all assumption Koi made himself,

"I am sorry…" he said in a low voice, and Airi couldn't help it anymore; her hand moved on their own as she patted Ryu,

"Don't apologize now, and don't worry either; no one is throwing you out."

"Miss Ito…"

"What happened now?" Airi asked, mindlessly patting Koi's head,

"How long are you going to pat me?.... it is getting a bit embarrassing for me" Koi moved up his face to face Airi, and his cheeks were painted a bit red from embarrassment, and it seemed to be infectious as Airi herself blushed as she moved her hand away with great speed,

"Don't think much of it!! It was a reaction! A reaction," Airi stated, and Koi nodded,

After the lovely chaos settled, Airi told Koi to prepare for going out; although Koi wasn't originally used to bathing with a bucket, he felt truly blessed as for many days he didn't have anything to clean with, after he dried up his hair and walked out. Airi, who was sitting waiting for Koi to return, moved her face readily at the sound of footsteps,

"Mr yama….. moto!?" Airi couldn't comprehend the sight before her as Koi, who moved into the room, had his hair combed backwards, the hair which usually was down on his forehead and made his face look messy was out of the way,

'Just what am I thinking…' Airi thought before she coughed and began speaking,

"Mr Yamamoto, we'll be going to get your university uniform, and then we'll head to the supermarket to buy ingredients for tonight's feast" as she reached tonight's feast, she smirked a bit at Koi's predicament,

"I will…. Try my best!!"

"Also, remember, unless we are in NGO, I am to be called Mikan" Airi pointed at the oranges that she had just put on the living room table after cleaning for just appearance's sake,

"I will call you Miss. Mikan then," Koi said with a smile as he found Airi's surname quite cute, but he made sure not to blurt it out, and with that, they made their way out of the house.

….

"Miss Air… Mikan, I mean, isn't this place too cut off from the rest of the town?" Koi asked as they finally made it out of the empty area and entered the much more lively area of town,

"And you remember that Shrine is nearby…." Airi replied with a bit of sarcasm in her voice, and Koi rubbed the back of his head awkwardly as he thought,

'She doesn't let a chance slip… but honestly, why did I choose that Shrine to stay?' he wondered as he couldn't make sense of his own action. What was it that compelled him to choose the most afar area from town,

"Either way, this building is actually close to our University, and it is just peaceful to live in it", Airi explained, and Koi nodded; even though the building's placement was odd, it was pretty near to the university,

After a bit more walking, they finally made it to the clothing shop. As soon as Airi opened the door with Koi behind her, a lady who seemed to be in her late twenties welcomed her,

"Young miss, it's been a while since you visited… did your uniform have a fitting problem."

"It is not that… actually, this is my classmate, who got late for admission and wasn't able to get his uniform from University. I want you to custom make a university uniform for him", Airi spoke as she presented Koi, and the shopkeeper's eyes shined,

"What fabric will you prefer sir, silk or premium silk?" she asked Koi, who tilted his head,

"Ehh!? Wasn't school uniform made out of artificial fabric?" he retorted, and Airi, who stood nearby, spoke,

"This shop makes uniforms for VIP students, so you can't help it."

"But…" Koi was about to reason, but before he could, Airi spoke,

"Just use the same materials as mine for payment. Please use the card" she handed over a black card to the shopkeeper, who nodded and pulled away Koi for taking his sizes,

"All the best Mr. Yamamoto", Airi said as she gave him a thumbs up. After 15 minutes, Koi returned,

"I don't know what happened…." Koi spoke as he couldn't make sense of it. He was pulled in a rush from one thing to another. A worker noted his size with an inch tape. Another noted his feet length, another made sure of his body shape, and they even weighed him,

"Pretty thrilling right?" Airi smiled as she remembered when it happened to her. This was the only shop around this part which take a person's weight to consider how thick they should keep the fabric,

"I do not even get what happened…. Miss Ito, when will we get the clothes."

"Anytime now and again it is Mikan!!"

"Ahh, I am sorry…."

"You…" Airi was about to retort about him apologizing at the drop of a hat, but before she could, the shopkeeper came out,

"Young Miss, his clothes are ready… Sir, please follow me" Koi nodded as he followed behind the keeper instantly because he could feel Airi's irritation from the furrow in her brows. Airi, who couldn't take out her frustration was pouting as she waited. After five minutes, Koi's voice finally entered her ears,

"How do… how do I look?" he asked,
