The Talk

"Okay, Okay! Enough.. on a serious note... don't do something like this again okay?" I stare at him and wait. It looks like he wants to argue but nods his head and says "I promise to talk to you before hand." I nod and say "This may all be normal for you Rune but where I'm from... You'd probably have a restraining order slapped on you."

Rune frowns in confusion and says "I don't know what that is but I don't think I like the sound of it." I laugh and quickly shift to my room to get dressed. Fig jumps up in surprise and says "Syn! I don't like when you go to Rune's room to sleep.. I can't get in.." Fig's little ears go down and my heart breaks for him.

"I'm so sorry Fig, from now on I'll sleep here and if Rune insist on sleeping in his room I'll make sure you can come in okay?" I say scooping him up and hugging his warm fluffy body. He nuzzles closer and says "Can you please take a break today and spend some time with me?"

My heart breaks again and I feel horrible for leaving the little guy alone so often lately. "I will spend the whole day with you Fig. Just you and I. Where would you like to go?" He pulls back and his ears perk up and I see his little eyes sparkle with excitement.

"I want to go back to the fairy cave with you! They won't let me go when you're not with me and I really like the fruits." I giggle thinking I should have known food was his end game. I boop his little nose and say "Sounds like a plan to me. I just need to get dressed and let Leon know I'm taking a break today." Fig's little head bounces up and down in his excitement but freezes when he sees the mark on my shoulder.

His little eyes go wide and they shoot back to me "When did this happen?!" I give him an awkward smile saying "last night.." Fig looks back to the mark but calms down. "Seems like he's my master's mate.. I should have known it would come to this."

He sighs and jumps down saying "Oh well, he's strong, powerful and rich meaning we can have an easy life with all the food we can eat!" Fig says becoming excited again. I snort and shake my head.. if only everyone thought that simply. Him and his food...
