The fairy flies off and I continue walking. I come around a bend and come to a stop. I didn't think I could be any more shocked but I was wrong. Oh so very wrong. Inside the cave was a large pool of.. water? No, it didn't look quite right to be water. I walk over to the pool and was shocked by the sight. The water was dark but if the water moved in any way it shimmered with light making it look like stars in a midnight sky.
The sight took my breath away as Fig says "Let's go swimming! The fairies say it's completely safe and will even feel good." Fig then takes a running start before jumping into the pool. I smile and quickly strip down to my underwear but unlike Fig I slowly walk in marveling at the feeling of the water. It was warm and soothing, unlike anything I've ever experienced. I walk until the water is up to my shoulders and pause.
I slowly drag my hand in the water and watch in wonder as it lights up before slowly disappearing again. I giggle and push off swimming to the deeper parts. Every move I make causes the water to light up and fade away. I see Fig swimming on his back as a small fairy rides his round little tummy. I then notice that the water was very dense and out of curiosity I stopped swimming. Instead on sinking I just float... This is amazing!
I lean back letting my long multicolored hair fan out around me in the water and look up at the top of the cave but it didn't look like the rest of the cave. It looked like it was open and I was looking up into a midnight sky. Thousands of different sized lights twinkled looking like stars. Was it really the night sky? But it was the middle of the day when we came here so it couldn't be.. Unless this was another magical thing I didn't know about.
I decided to stop trying to guess and just enjoy it. Never in my life would I have thought I would be able to see and experience something like this. Even if my life ends in the near future I wouldn't be so upset. This place was like a magical piece of heaven. I'm not sure I want to leave this place... I could feel the power seeping into me making me stronger and I sigh in delight closing my eyes.
But the second I start to relax I think of Rune... and that woman he called Lilith. Why was she in his room? Were they a thing? She was certainly beautiful enough. I try not to think about it but the more I try the more I fail. Look, it's not like I have a say in who he's with or sleeps with but if they are in that kind of relationship he shouldn't be kissing me.
Were they in one of those super open relationships? If so I didn't want any part of it... "Syn?" Fig says in a small voice. "Hmm?" I ask and he takes a while before he asks "Do you still have that seed the old tree gave you?" I sit up to find him watching me and I say "Yes, the necklace Rune gave me has the ability to store small things so I put it in the necklace, why?" He just nods his head and says "That's good. Always keep it with you okay?" Even though I don't completely understand I still nod my head.
