Anger

After shifting back to the castle I carry her pale lifeless form to the healers. The healers waste no time in checking her. I step back and watch as they place healing stones around her and begin checking her pulse. I grit my teeth and try to calm myself but it's hard when I see her like this. Broken.. and lifeless.

"We need to go before they get too far.." Ren says from beside me. I raise a shaky hand to my face and rub my jaw. I know I need to leave.. I know, but I don't want to leave her.. not when she's like this. "Your highness you may go. We will make sure she's taken care of." The lead healer named Gur says with a reassuring smile.

I wait a moment or two before nodding. I walk over to her and place a kiss on her head before saying "I'll be back love." I look at her one more time before clenching my fist and walking away. "I want every tracker we have on this and release the hounds. Who ever finds them first will be heavily rewarded." I say as Ren nods and shifts away.

I walk back to my office and find the mages there and waiting. They wore long dark cloaks hiding their faces but I knew what was underneath them. Mages were similar to witches but their eyes would turn completely neon blue making them hard to look at. Runes similar to mine cover them from head to toe but they're the same neon blue color making them stand out in crowds especially when the runes cover their faces. To avoid trouble they always wear the cloaks and stay to themselves. I don't blame them.

"I apologize for the delay. I am in need of your services. I need you to find Ryder and the witch working for him as soon as possible. They have hurt my mate and questioned my power." The mages look to one another before saying "We will lend our services but we want control over the northern boarders."

I grit my teeth weighing the pros and cons but nod my head in agreement "As long as we can still use the northern boarder and have a working relationship then I will agree to your condition." The mages nod and say "We will find them before night fall, you have our word." I nod as they shift away. Alone, I turn and look out the large window.

I will make Ryder and the damn witch pay and when I come back I will help Syn in her recovery. The mages have already placed protection spells around the castle preventing the witch from pulling Syn away like last time. Ren shifts in behind me saying "The mages have found them.. they aren't too far from here and seem to be moving closer with an army.."

I spin around and sneer.. he has a lot of guts to attack me in my own territory! "Good.. real good! Let him come, It saves me time and effort. If he wishes to seek death then so be it." I growl at the promise of war. "Get the men ready to welcome our guest.." I smile and feel my eyes burning as my runes begin to awaken.
