Lana's POV

"Why didn't you tell me this sooner?" Alma looked at Lana with a glimpse of reproach in the tone she asked the question.

Lana spent the last two hours telling the elder how she got to meet Johan at the airport, how she found out that he had taken Erick's place, and was there with her from then on in order to meet his end of a deal he had stricken with the former boss of the family.

She told her everything she knew and came to know about what happened, leaving Alma with a slack jaw, and a slight gleam of a smile in her eyes.

"I should've known that he was acting way too kindly to be Erick..." She chuckled. "I liked Erick, he was ruthless, and didn't mind using his strength to put everyone in their place. But this other kid... Johan... He knew what it is to be on the bottom of the food chain. It's a shame that he ended up in the midst of the cross fire of Clifford's scheme."

Lana looked at the old lady.
