Readjustments

"Hahahaha! Look at this guy!" Gerald burst into laughter and playfully slapped Ray on the shoulder. "I can't believe that's your response. Aren't you an ambitious hunter.."

"You're not upset?" Ray inquired, taken aback by Gerald's response. "Why on earth would I be mad?" Gerald shook his head. "It's ultimately your call. I won't dictate your choices. Decide what's best for you, kid."

"Thanks for letting me be part of the task force, though." Ray expressed his gratitude, bowing his head first to Gerald and then to Jay. "Sure thing. I hope you gained valuable experience," Gerald replied with a grin. "Just remember, my offer won't wait forever. It'll expire soon."

"Give me two months," Ray stated, starting to walk away. "Two months? Why two months?" Gerald inquired, intrigued by Ray's choice. Ray shrugged casually. "I don't know. I guess you could call it… Intuition."

And with that, Ray left the building.
