162 Interrogation by the guard leader

When Bai Yun opened the door, he was surprised to see the city guard leader standing in front of his store.

"May I come in?" The guard leader asked.

"Definitely." Bai Yun said.

The guard leader quickly stepped inside the store and closed the door behind him. He sat down on the chair and stared at Bai Yun for a while. Bai Yun simply smiled back at him. Finally, the guard leader stopped staring and asked him a question.

"Did you know that the Hei clan leader and the Hei clan ancestor died yesterday? Their heads were found in the city square." He asked.

"I heard the rumors." Bai Yun replied. "I figured they were true as I couldn't see the Hei clan servants outside my store yesterday."
