Chapter 119 Notify the Dragon Clans.

Paul was surprised again, he knew that she was banished but he never suspected that it was by the dragon summit.

The knowledge he received from his reincarnation soul contained information about this summit and its importance.

-Let's go to the house, this is not the place to discuss something like this.

Fei Fei said, tying her pareo on her hips and walking in the direction of the main house.

Paul and the elf followed her.

-To start at the beginning.

Fei Fei said sitting at the table in the dining room and the other two followed her.

-The Dragon Summit takes place once in a thousand years and it gathers all the dragon nobility and royalty to discuss the most important matters and make decisions for our whole race.

She explained and OPaul nodded.

He knew this much and even a bit more.

-As for the Draconia faith.

It started because one of my ancestors loved to help mortals in the lower worlds in her youth.

She especially liked elves and helped them a lot, which led them to worship her as their goddess.

The Elf girl listened and was in disbelief.

Not only was she in the presence of a true dragon which was the greatest honor for any elf but also a descendant of her goddess.

Fei Fei disregarded her stupified look and continued.

-There was nothing wrong with it for thousands of years until the priests grew too greedy and started abusing their stations for nefarious purposes, so the summit decided to put an end to it before it affected the dragon clans' reputation.

I know for a fact that most of the temples from the upper worlds heeded the order and disbanded, those that didn't were destroyed by dragons.

What I don't understand is why or even better how did any temple survive even in this world.

She looked at the young elf for an explanation if she could even provide one.

-My lady, I don't know why the temple was not disbanded like the others and why it wasn't destroyed.

The elf girl said quietly but with great respect in her voice.

-The head priest never told us any of it and continued coming to every clan to gather the servants for the temple every one hundred years.

-Let me guess, the servants were always young women who just reached adulthood and were the most beautiful in their clan.

Fei Fei said with scorn in her voice.

-Yes, my lady.

The elf nodded in surprise.

-Then they were never chosen as servants but most likely sold as pleasure slaves.

Fei Fei said with anger and regret in her voice.

-The true servant-choosing ceremony was always conducted at the temple and they always chose men and women from all elven clans despite their looks or standing.

All that was taken into consideration was their faith and cultivation talents.

Fei Fei explained, seeing the questioning look on Paul's face.

-Do you know where the temple is?

She asked the elf.

-No, the priest sent escorts for me to guide me there, but they were killed by the goblins.

The elf explained, shaken by the revelation.

She never suspected that if not for the goblins she would most likely be sold as a pleasure slave by now.

-That's a shame, but we need to warn the elves about this matter and inform the dragon clans to let them take care of it.

Fei Fei said.

-Can't we take care of it ourselves?

Paul asked, knowing well that Fei Fei didn't want to have anything to do with the dragon clans.

-Not with our strength and besides, I doubt that elves will believe us, especially since I'm an exile.

She shook her head.

-Then how do you intend to inform them about the situation?

Paul asked, as far as he knew, only an emperor could contact the higher worlds and even that was restricted to only two worlds higher than his own.

-I have a way to send a message to my sister, but it's risky.

If some of my relatives learn about my whereabouts, they might want to come down here and kill me.

-Why?

Paul asked not believing what he just heard.

-Because in their eyes, banishment and a curse are not enough of a punishment for what I had done.

She explained sadly.

-My lady, don't put yourself in danger for us, we can figure out a different way.

The elf girl said in a panic.

She had just met a real dragon and already brought a lot of trouble to it.

Fei Fei shook her head.

-Unfortunately, even if there is another way, the moment my clan heard about it and that I knew about the matter, they would see it as another disgrace I brought upon my clan and might decide to end me anyway.

Seeing that the elf wanted to speak again she held her hand up.

-Don't even try and say that we can just forget about it, I won't allow my ancestor's good intentions to be tarnished in such a way.

Besides, the message might be enough for them to leave me alone.

She said, smiling slightly, she didn't believe that would be the case, but there was always a small chance.

-Are you sure that we can't just take care of this ourselves?

You heard that they come only once every century so if I'm right we have over ninety years to get ready and take them down.

Paul said.

-You don't get it, the dragon clans will hear about it sooner or later, and if they discover that I knew and didn't inform them about it, they will come after me.

The only way that gives me a chance to avoid that is to inform them about it and hope that they won't be able to find me or if they do then they won't want to kill me.

She explained.

Fei Fei was not happy about this situation either, but as a member of a dragon clan, she had to do what she had to do, no matter the consequences that might follow.

-Ok, then can you tell me, how accurately will they be able to pinpoint your location after you send the message?

Paul asked if he could not persuade her that he would help her as much as he could.

-If I stay in the vicinity of the place from which I sent the message then they will find me without a doubt, the same will happen if they come within a certain distance from me.

She explained, not understanding what he was thinking about.

-How far away would you have to be, for them to not detect you?

He asked.

-I don't know but the further I am from the place that I sent the message from, the lesser the chance of them detecting my presence.

-If that's the case, then why not send a message from the river town or even better from the wilderness surrounding it?

Paul proposed.

Both ladies looked at him like he had just grown another head.

-Do you have any idea how far away it is?

Fei Fei asked the moment she got her voice back.

The idea was insane and would take weeks to even get there in the first place.

-I do, but hear me out before you reject the idea.

Paul Held his hands up and proceeded to explain his plan.
