Chapter 03 - Return and New Life

I met Athena, who was the human who reached the 9-Star in the legend. Actually, she was sealed 400 years before I got sealed in hell. I learned her name was Athena Eltasia.

We started talking to each other about random things and I mentioned that I reached 10-star mage, her reaction was,

"If I was given more time by those damn Lords, I should have reached 11-Star, higher than you", that's what she said, I noticed that she was quite competitive even if she was a silent girl, I also noticed that one compliment made her embarassed. So I avoided to compliment her to avoid an awkward talk.

So we have been like that, we became friends and I learned that in her previous life, she doesn't have any friends that you can lean on and support you, she knew that why all people wants to be friends with her was only to use her to increase their reputation and fame, and because she was a genius who have a high influence to the famous people like a prince from the largest empire wants to marry her but she rejected him purely because that prince was just going to use her and to put her in their side. Well, that's what the world is, to use and to be used.

She opened up to me that I and Lucifer was the only people she felt was her friend.

"Oi oi, stop flattering me" was what I said. I tried to erase the dramatic atmosphere because she cried when she opened up to me, I know what she feels. Its lonely to have no one on your side.

I asked her why she wants to defeat dark lords. She said that her pet and bestfriend "Wally", a dragon, was killed by one of the soldiers of the dark lords. Her pet was with her for over 5 years, even if they have been together for a short time, Wally was the only one that she have a reason to live and don't wanna leave him alone. Her pet was cut to pieces by one of the captains of the army of the Dark lords. She investigated the one who slashed her pet and she learned that it was a captain of the army the dark lords commanded. She killed the captain easily but she was killed in return because the person she killed was an important figure to the army. The dark lords thought that she was a threat as they learned that Athena was an 9-Star. They sealed athena here in hell.

I learned a lot about herself and I didn't notice we have been together for a year, she started to show her true personality, not the prideful Athena but rather the crazy Athena.

She started to bother me to teach her new spells and we study magic together. She will always talk to me whenever she wants. She was talkative, definitely different from the Athena I met at the first day who was prideful and quiet. She was shameful.

We spared sometimes and she would always use dirty tricks to win. I though that she was a prideful woman but she was a shameful person.

"That was dirty, Athena! Untie me now!" I said when she used a dirty trick to win against me like she created a trap just when we started to spar, I was tied in a rope amd I couldn't cast a spell, this rope was definitely has a spell that will seal my movement and prevent me from using spells.

"Just admit defeat, Arthur. Atleast you will be able to save face right? Being defeated by a girl, is that really a 10-Star mage? nah too weak." she said arrogantly, I want to atleast hit her face once. I can easily destroy this rope but it was casted a spell that will seal my movemnts, moreover, it was casted by a 9-Star mage. I can destroy this but it will take sometime.

"Ughh, Athena just you wait"

And like that, we became bestfriends. Our rest was now over and we will be reincarnated but before that I asked lucifer,

"Lucifer, can you reincarnate me to a 3 years old kid? I don't want to experience being a baby."

"Yeah, me too" Athena said.

"Yeah I can do that, but it will take a little bit longer than usual so can you wait?"

"Yeah thanks, Lucifer"

"No problem, I will see you both soon, in the war, okay? be sure to become much stronger than you were now because both of you are still too weak to fight the Lords, okay? I don't want both of you to be dead before I see you again" He said while smiling,and his eyes are dead worried and sad at the same time. When I am about to say something, I heard Athena sigh.

"*Sigh* don't be a worrywart, Lucifer, is that how a Demon Lord should act? Just trust us, don't worry about us getting defeated by those damn lords. We will sent them flying until they got dizzy hehe" Athena laughed at the though of defeating the lords.

"Alright alright, just survive okay?....Also I forgot to tell you that the dark lord were all above 10-star magician and 10-mark warrior"

"Ehh? then why do they need to assemble just to kill me and why am I a threat to them if they are strong"

"Because it was to deceuve the enemy that they need each other to kill a 10-star mage and they see you as a threat because....oh well, you will know in the future. So now, goodbye." He said and he turned his back to me. I was about to complain the he just needs to tell us but I saw my my body into cracks and scattering away. I heard Lucifer's last message before I lost my consciousness.

"By the way, you both will be on the same village, you will know eventually each other in a different body. Both of you are orphans by the way, because they are the only ones younger than six, have a great journey, Arthur and Athena" he said and he disappeared.

I lost my consciousness afterwards.
