Chapter two
Hua Wumian sat down on the sofa, unaware of the angry glares sent at her, she ate her food slowly, if Zhou Chen were here what would he do.
Zhou Chen was Hua Wumian childhood sweetheart who disappeared for six years, after all theses years she still urned him, she just wanted to know the bitter truth about why he left.
By the time Hua Wumian woke up from her stupor. It was already evening, she looked at her desk, it was neat and clear, maybe she didn't hear them knocking and they just didn't dare to enter.
She walked to the president office, it was locked. Seems like her mom must have thought she was in a bad mood, and let her be.
She gather her remaining stuff and walked out of the building, she went to the under ground parking lot, her car was a black low key BMW, she sat in the car for a long time, she wasn't in the mood to go home, so she drove to Tung Yue it was one of the best restaurant in county M.
“I want to book a private room please.."
Hua wumian was a well known figure just like her step sister Hua Doukuo. The classy and nation’s princess Hua Doukuo.
"I'm sorry Mss Hua, but all our private room have been booked, except you want to share..”
The clerk at the front desk said slowly, they were fully booked it was because Hua Wumian was there regularly customer and also she was very nice to her.
Hua wumian didn't really like being in the same like with one or two person,but she'd have to manage.
"Alright I can manage..."
But never in her wildest dream did she think, the private room they would give her will be that of Su Liangxiao's, the famous king of the business world not to mention the retired Playboy of country M.
This Su liangxiao had practically stolen the heart of all the girls in Country M, both young and old.
She quickly looked away and took a sit by the corner.
Since he didn't notice her, she quietly ordered three bottles of her favorite liquor and rubbed her temples preparing herself for the upcoming hangover, she had already today the chauffeur at home, to come pick her up if she wasn't back by ten.
The drinks were brought and she quietly downed herself, and this didn't go unnoticed.
Su liangxiao saw an unidentified woman under the dim light drinking very slowly but elegant, she had already downed two bottles and was currently on the third one.
She seemed distant..... lonely, like the whole world had betrayed her. Su liangxiao had the sudden urged to give this woman a hug and tell her everything will be alright.
Who knew that wished would come true...
Hua wumian who had almost downed the last bottles, felt her stomach burning uncontrollably as she knew she couldn't go on.
Her alcohol tolerance was very high, but after downing almost three bottles of liquor. Her vision was hazy as she staggered from time to time.
Su liangxiao followed after her not caring about the weird gazes on him.
It was simply impossible for this retired playboy to chase after some unknown woman right?
Ru Renshu and Mu Zhao looked at each in shock they all saw Hua Wumian there drinking silently. But they didn’t expect Su Liangxiao to chase after her.
”Do you think he likes her..”
Ru Renshu asked a calm smile swept across his face, this was the first time in a long time he had seen Su Liangxiao openly chase after a woman.
“Hey miss do you need help calling a chauffeur..." Su liangxiao asked he just didn't know why he decided to speak with this lady.
Hua wumian looked at the figure in front of her and hugged it immediately "AhChen is that you, have you returned, why did you leave all those years and..."
Hua Wumian suddenly stopped talking, this figure did not belong to Zhou Chen, she slowly retracted her hands and mumbled.
”Sorry..”
Su Liangxiao eyes twitched, turns out it was another heartbroken woman who came to down her sorrows in drinks.
And here he was trying to actually comfort her.
He shrugged it off and decided to at least get her a taxi.
He walked her to the door and bumped into the chauffeur who had just arrived, he quickly rushed over to Hua Wumian said when he saw her being lead out by a man.
And not just any man it was Su Liangxiao himself.
“CEO Su, I am here to pick the miss up, if you could leave her to me.."
The chauffeur he knew who Su liangxiao was and he didn't like him very much.
Although Su Liangxiao had retired from his playboy ways one could say Su Liangxiao's playboy reputation still wasn't a very good one.
Su liangxiao could see that the chauffeur didn't like him, so he didn't push it and just lead the staggering Hua wumian to the car and left.
The chauffeur was shocked he expected Su Liangxiao to explode, but thankfully he didn't, Hua wumian slept the entire ride home, so she was already somber and could walk by herself, she met her mother was standing at the door with a stern look on her face.
“Look at you!, I've warned you several times, don't drink so much. Come in I'll make you some soup. Thank you for bringing xiaomian back..”
Bai Zhi sighed as she thanked the chauffeur, who bowed slightly before taking his leave.
After closing the door Bai zhi continued chiding Hua Wumian.
”Don’t drink so much next time, okay xioamian."
Hua Wumian nodded showing she agreed with her, her stomach just couldn't handle these liquor.
"And i think it's time for you to forget about Zhou Chen, he left six years ago and you're here killing yourself, you shouldn't even waste your energy thinking about him ,no man can abandon the woman he loves in such a way."
She said it all, Bai Zhi looked at her daughter gently, it wasn't her fault for loving him, it was just the universe way of telling her that they weren't meant to be.
Hua wumian didn't say anything, as she muttered up a smile.
“I'm going to take a shower, and don't bother about the soup..”
With that she went upstairs,she soaked herself in the tub until she felt the pain go away.
She put on a set of doreamon pajamas, at least her pajamas wouldn't leave her for six years, she laid on the bed softly, rubbing her temples slightly.
Her headache had subsided slightly.
No man can abandon the woman he loves.
Those words kept ringing in her head, perhaps it was time to finally let go of Zhou Chen, she rolled up from the bed and took the last picture she had of Zhou Chen, she kissed the picture as a sign of their goodbye.
“I've waited for you but I can't anymore, if we meet someday let’s be strangers to each other.”
Over the years Hua Wumian had gradually thrown away Zhou Chen pictures and belongings she had with her apart from this one single picture, a picture of her and Zhou Chen on the first day of their relationship.
With that she burned the picture, Zhou Chen smiling face burn slowly to the ground before turning to ash and blew away in the breeze.
Hua Wumian felt light after removing the heavy burden from her heart, she finally fell as sleep early in the morning, and she didn't wake up till noon, thankfully her mother gave her a day off.
She lazied about on the bed before finally getting up, her heart seemed energetic today.
Maybe because she didn't have anything holding her back this time.
She walked downstairs and even gave her mom a kiss, humming a song as she danced round the living room.
"Seems like you woke up at the right side of the bed. I've haven't seen you this energetic for years now..."
Those times all Hua Wumian would talk abut was Zhou Chen and the games they played together. All day, everyday.
Bai Zhi didn't really blame Zhou Chen, she knew his mother had a hand in his disappearance, and the impact it left on her poor daughter.
"Mom lets go for shopping it's only one day off after all.."
Hua Wumian chirped as she walked towards Bai Zhi, blinking at her.
Bai Zhi smiled and nodded, she wouldn't get a peaceful mind if she didn't agree. For her daughter she would agree to anything.
"Alright why not..."
They went to LX, one of the biggest malls in country M, and also Hua Wumian favorite malls. As she could place her orders and it'd be delivered directly to her house.
They went to X stores,they were known for their different brand of gowns.
“Good morning Madam Bai and miss Wumian...." The assistant said seeing the two ladies entering the store.
"Good morning little bun, just take us to the gown section, or just get us a black knee length, short sleeved,with a small woolen jacket thank you.."
Bai zhi was very precise when it came to buying dresses, the assistant came out few minutes later carrying a hand full of gowns.
"Here it is madam, you can try it to see how it feels..." the assistant passed the dress to hua wumian who was pushed into the changing room.
Wow....
Slim curves..
Long legs..
"Lovely i knew my daughter was beautiful... you look stunning.."
The clerks and assistant were all in awe.
Wearing the body hugging gown, Hua wumian looked stunning. The gown accentuated her curves and defined her waist.
"I'll take this in black and white and maybe some other brands too.”
Bai Zhi said cheerfully, her daughter just looked so good in dresses.
