6 Mordred - III

Mordred was thinking after what she heard from Artoria.

Mordred -"I wanted to be the next Empress and share the burden of ruling the Empire. I thought succeeding you was my purpose of my birth, at least that's what mother always made me believe. I always wanted nothing but to be like you. Fearless, wise, strong, and kind, the ideal I always searched for. I know more than anyone else the limited time in my hands, and I failed everything I set to accomplish."

Artoria -*HaHaHaHa* "That's very cute of you but don't try to be me. You should have never tried to be the next me. It is endearing, but my answers should have made it clear by now. Our people were never united in the first place. I had forcefully pulled them under the umbrella of an empire but was unable to integrate them under one identity. I would have if Morgan and Vortigern had given me some rest and then there were the 'The Knights of The Roundtable' fighting among themselves. Now, after all that shenanigans I feel so free and relaxed."

Mordred -"I would say us fighting had to do a lot with you explaining nothing at all about your grand plan which broke the 'Knights of the Round Table' into those with you and those against you. The arrest of Guinevere was like adding oil to a fire. And even after Lancelot rescued her, she went on a vow of silence refusing to speak anything about your plans."

Artoria -"Well, I had no problem with you all silently rebelling against me or trying to assassinate me. The empire's army was united under me and no neighbouring countries had the strength to attack Britain. But you all had to cause a civil unrest."

Mordred -"Another king would be scared or angered seeing his loyal knights and minister's rebelling. You seemed unfazed, as aspected of our liege."

Artoria -"Ha! Ha! Ha! It always comes to ability if you wanted to accomplish something, you all had neither the ability nor any means to harm me either united or alone. Though in all of this Tristan siding with Lancelot was a surprise."

Mordred -*sigh* "Father, never mind. Tristan had left the Round Table but came back to stop you. Also, I have heard Lancelot and Tristan were men of similar tastes."

Artoria -"What? Anyway I had not come here to have a QnA session, I had come here to rectify Morgan's mistakes. On that note, before my arrival you and that artificial fae over there were talking about you being a king. What's all that about?

Mordred -"When you so kindly offered us to transfer our home to reverse side, on the first day of my arrival I had my first experience of racist faes who were targeting these artificial faes. That said something about Wind clan, I didn't care, so I didn't listen. I stopped them from attacking these Artificial faes, and now these artificial faes want me to be their king."

Artoria -"Don't patronize me. If you want to, you can be their king, I will not stop you, rather I will encourage you. They are not complex like humanity and they definitely need someone to protect them. So, go for it."

Mordred -"Even if I want to, with this body!"

Artoria -"I have a solution, now, your answer?"

Mordred -"I don't really know. I can give them protection, but the guardianship of a ruler is different. He not only protects but also leads. I don't think I have it in me to carry it on my shoulders"

Artoria -"True, not everyone can be a king or a queen. It is a hard and easy job at the same time based on what type of ruler you want to be. Being a Queen was a chore for me, though I liked the luxury and authority that came with it.

I had a purpose and my own desires when I pulled Calliburn out of the stone. Now, think of any reason, I mean any reason or desire to sit on the throne. Though it is not easy as I am making it to be, but every king or queen takes the throne for a desire of their own. Later, it is unto you what you make of your kingdom."

Mordred -"Even something silly like making the subjects make me food."

Artoria -"Well, why not."

Mordred -'Now, that brings a smile to my face. These artificial faes are made from the desires of human, so among them should be a perfect culmination of human desire for perfect cook. There was no word about my tenure as a king. I can always gloriously vanquish my throne and follow the example of father. He had already prepared an excuse for me.' "Since, I am free for now and my father said he would cure me why not till a qualified leader is trained among you."

Alisa -"Urr ye fur real?" (Are for real?)

Mordred -"Yes!"

Artoria -'Hmm! Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. It will be funny if she also gets bored and annoyed and decided to leave her kingdom.'

Alisa -"Then, ah wull clype a' th' guys." (Then, I will inform all the guys.)

With saying that, Alisa left to inform the other faes about Mordred's decision.

Mordred -"Not going to stop me or say how annoying or boring it will be?"

Mordred turned to Artoria and said with a grin.

Artoria -"No need to act that cheeky. Even if you were brought up by that psychopath, your nature is more inline with mine. So, I don't even have to use clairvoyance."

Mordred -"We'll see about that."

Artoria -"We definitely will. Oh! I almost forgot, I have found after extensive experimentation a ritual similar to what is used to create a 'True Ancestor'."

Mordred -"What kind of ritual?"

Artoria -"While being born from nature just as any natural spirits, the True Ancestors are fundamentally copies of the Crimson Moon with minds and bodies modelled after humans. Crimson Moon and I have many things in common, so this should work. A ritual to turn you into a type of natural spirit similar to me should solve your problem."

Mordred -"Many things in common? What is this Crimson Moon?"

Artoria -"You know about Ultimate one?"

Mordred -"????"

Artoria -"Well, in simple terms, the physical manifestation of the will of the celestial body itself. I am one such being though my case is a bit special, I share my conscious with Gaia herself, while others are an incarnation of complete will. And Crimson Moon was the Ultimate One of our moon."

Mordred -"Was? Was he changed or killed?"

Artoria -"How can he be killed or changed, that would require the use of magic. He was defeated by Zelretch who is the owner of the second magic named as 'Kaleidoscope'. To truly kill or to change the will of the world you need Magic or very advance science, or you can try destroying the celestial body completely for which again you need either a true magic or very advance science."

Mordred -"Then, what happen to him?"

Artoria -"Oh! Just his incarnation is destroyed. You can still see the moon outside right. As I was saying, the ritual."

Mordred -"Yes! Yes the ritual please continue."

Artoria -"Well, as I was saying the ritual involves your soul. Soul are composed of spirtrons, the true essence of the souls. It is an existence of a higher order in the concept of the astral plane, acting as a record of the body containing the memories, mind, and Magic Circuits. While the body contains the information of the physical nature like number of hands, gender, etc., but the soul contains the data of memories, origin, the true nature of that being and also the data that is stored in the body.

Rather than creating a new body, using my blood as a catalyst and your soul as the blueprint, a perfect body can definitely be created. Even if Morgan was a Great-mother class fairy, she was unaware of my nature as a part fairy and part god, which may have resulted in your current conditions also maybe for that reason she was able to conceive you. I will never understand that woman."

Morgan -"Wait-a-minute, you were a fairy and a god, why anyone never heard of it?"

Artoria -"Well, everyone just assumed me to be a man-made child of human and a dragon, but rather I am not human at all. I am part fairy, part dragon and part god with the divine authority over earth. I was never human, that's why I was shouting humanity should be ruled by one of their own."
