Chapter 64
It was the 25th of December, a day known to the world as Christmas. For most people it would be the greatest time of all because they would get to spend time with theur families and give each other presents and enjoy the meal that some would only get to have on this day.
"Ma'am aren't you going to visit Nelly at the hospital today?" A woman wearing a maid's attire walked into a bedroom. "Just let me sleep for a bit." The woman under the thick blue blankets said in an annoyed tone. She hated being woken up, she only wanted to wake up when she felt like it. "Okay fine I will not force you... Oh by the way a man named Charles Royce would to meet with you. He said that he wants to discuss business with you. He left his personal number." She said. The woman under the bedsheets sat up quickly as soon as she heard the name Charles Royce. She didn't know why but it felt like she knew him but she doesn't remember meeting a man with that name. "Charles? Lola have I met him before?" She asked. She had long red hair, Hazel eyes, thick eyebrows and a perfect porcelain skin, even her maid Lola was a bit jealous because her skin had a lot of dark spots. "I do not know." She said lying. Lola was a made that was assigned by Charles himself to look after iris(the android which was created to replace lacy before.). He wanted to maje sure that she was safe and to get an update about her daily life. Mostly the things she does and the people she gets in contact with. He had told Lola not to tell iris a thing. "Wow, that's weird because it feels like I have met him before. Maybe it is just my imagination... Oh well I should wake up, I guess sleeping in makes me think of stuff." She said stretching her body for five minutes and hoping off of the bed. Lola wished that she could tell her the truth but she knew that if she did then that would only bring back painful memories that iris probably doesn't want to remember.
After taking a bath iris wore an ankle length silky, high leg split, v neck, cap sleeves and safety pin Medusa pink dress and white heels. She did not put on any jewelery because she didn't like it. The dress hugged her body in a sensual way. It didn't matter what she wore her body was just attractive. She checked her wrist watch abd saw that it was 10:45am, she was supposed to be at the hospital at 9am to visit Nelly. Nelly was one of her few good friends that she had made in the city she was living in. Nelly was suffering from brain tumor and she had her surgery a week ago and she was still going to stay in the hospital fur a while. Iris had promised her that age would spend Christmas with her because her family refused to see her. She had been see as a curse by her family because after Nelly was born her parents died in a horrible car accident and her little sister died while trying to get her kite back that was stuck on the window frame on the tenth floor of the hotel she stated on with her parents when they visited Egypt. So after she was diagnosed with brain tumor her parents stopped talking to her abd they even refused to pay for her medical bills and iris was the one who had been paying all her medical bills.
"Lola what did you make for breakfast?" Iris asked walking into the dining room. "I made Granola with Figs, Almonds and Coconut." She said. "Wow my favourite." iris said clapping her hands. She sat down ready to eat her breakfast. "OH Lola did you make extra breakfast?"Iris asked. "Yes."She said."Can you pack some for Nelly, I am sure that she misses home made food." she said. "Alright then ma'am I'll get to it." She said walking into the kitchen to do what she was asked to do while iris enjoyed her breakfast.
After eating breakfast she got into her car and her driver drove her to the hospital that Nelly was in. "Nelly, oh my god how have you been I missed you so much." She said seating down on the chair that was next to Nelly's hospital bed. Nelly looked at Lacey with a smile on her face. She had blue eyes, short blonde hair, a sharp nose and cherry lips. "Hey iris." She said. Seating up from the bed. "OH my goodness Nelly you have lost weight look at you, are the people here even taking care of you. Look at your skin it has become pale, my gosh this people deserve a beating." She Saud examining Nelly's body. She was right nekky did lose some weight and her skin was a bit pale too, but it was not because of the service at the hospital it was because of her sickness."No iris it's fine." She said. "So, not a single word from your family?" Iris asked. Nelly shook her head she could feel tears threatening to fall from her eyes. Everyday she would wake up hoping to see her family but not even one of them came. She had been in the hospital fur almost two weeks and they did not even bother to come to check if she was alive or dead. Nelly thought that if she were to die then they would be much much happier. "Hey Nelly it's okay, there is no need for you to cry over those assholes they don't deserve your precious tears. Don't worry as soon as you are out of here I promise you I will help you get your little revenge on them." Iris said. "There is no need for that. And I don't even know when I am going to be able to leave this place. I miss the warmth of my home even though I am unwanted there but my parents made it warm enough for me to be comfortable in it before they died that us why it warms my heart everytime I am there Jr when I think about it."She said. And that melted iris's heart, hearing people talk about their families and homes made her heart warm up, she just loved it when they talk about how much they love their families and homes.
