Chapter 32

The next morning Lacey woke up feeling exhausted, she looked at her right side and saw her husband's perfect face,it looked like he was still in dream land. She could never get enough of his perfect looks. She got up from the bed(naked) and she went in to the bathroom to take a warm shower, she stepped into the shower and she turned the tap on, and in seconds she felt the warm water running down her body from hair to toe, she felt so relaxed. She closed her eyes feeling relaxed then she felt a pair of arms on her back, she quickly opened her eyes. "What are you doing!" Lacey asked. "Washing your back of course." Charles said. "No, I can do it myself, besides I don't trust you." Lacey said, she knew how Charles was everytime, he would tell her that he would just help her shower and before she knew it they would end up making love and he would tell her that it was not his fault that she was so attractive. "Come on Lacey, I won't do anything this time, I promise." Charles said, even though he wasn't too sure himself. "No..." Before she could finish they both heard a slight nock on the bathroom door. "Dad are you in here." it was Ian. "Yes, why?" Charles asked, he was a bit annoyed. "Can you come out for a sec, there is something that I need to talk to you about." Ian said. Charles groaned but he agreed anyway. He came out and he found Ian seating on the couch.

"What did you want to talk to me about." Charles asked as he sat down next to her. "I am afraid we have to go back there, things aren't looking good." He said with a serious look on his face. "What? But I thought that everything was okay." Charles said. "I thought so too, but turns out the opposite party fooled us into believing that." Ian said. "And what if they fool us again." Charles asked with a worried look on his face. "Then I guess we are going to have to end them." Ian said. "Yeah, I guess you are right." Charles agreed. "So when are we leaving." Charles asked. "Tomorrow morning." Ian said. "And I don't know when we are going to return this time, because those idiots are a lot smarter that we anticipated." Ian said. "Alright." He said, and Ian got up and he left.

Lacey came out of the bathroom and she found Charles sitting on the couch staring up at the ceiling. "What is the matter Hubby?" Lacey asked as she sat down next to him. Charles sighed, and he looked at Lacey. "It's nothing much, Ian and I have to go somewhere tomorrow morning, and I don't know when we will be back, but it is not a big issue so there is nothing for you to worry about, my lover." He says caressing her hand. "it doesn't look like it is not a big deal to me. What are you hiding from me Charles." Lacey asked, she did not like the fact that her husband was keeping secrets from her. She did not know why he was like this, he has been secretive now. He no longer let's her touch his phone nor does he tell her where he goes and why. "My love, it is nothing big I promise you I will tell you when the time is right." Charles said, but Lacey was not convinced. "Give me your phone." Lacey said. "What?" Charles asked. "I said give me your phone." Lacey said and she was serious. "My love look..." Charles started but Lacey cut him off. "I said. Give. Me. Your. Phone." Lacey said. "No." He said. "What?" Lacey asked, she was a bit taken back. "I said no. Look Lacey I said that I will tell you when the time is right okay, just be patient." Charles said. "Patient? How long have I been patient, Charles you've been keeping thing from me for almost two years, haven't I been patient enough with you." Lacey asked. "Well then just be more patient." Charles said. "Are you serious? You know what, if you can't tell me what the problem is, then find someone better to tell her." Lacey said. "Excuse me?" Charles asked. "You heard me, if you are not willing to tell me, your wife, your best friend about what is happening then maybe you should go and find someone else. Maybe if we go our separate ways, then you won't have to worry about telling me anything." Lacey said. "Lacey, what are you talking about, I didn't say that I won't tell you, I just told you that I will tell you when the time is right, there is no need for you to overreact." Charles said. The one thing that he did not want separating from his wife. "I am not overreacting, Charles. I am giving you one last chance to tell me what is going on or else, you and I will be meating in court to finalise our divorce." Lacey said "Wow, so you are willing to divorce me just because I can't tell you what I am hiding from you now, it's not like I said that that I won't tell you all you have to do is just wait for the right time."Charles said. "Right time? When is it going to be the right time?" Lacey asked. "Soon" Charles said. "I want you to tell me now." Lacey said. "I can't tell you now." Charles said. "Well why not, because I am not good enough to be told?!." Lacey shouted. "Well maybe it's because it doesn't concern you." Charles said and he instantly regretted his words, he silently cursed his mouth for saying it and his brain for not thinking. "Lacey look I..." She cut him off. "I got my answer, it's okay don't tell me, I doesn't concern me."With that she got up from the couch and she went inside the closet and she got dressed and she went outside. Charles sat there not knowing what to do, he just hoped abd prayed that Lacey wouldn't leave him.

"Ian, I think that you should go and check on your dad." Amara said walking into Ian's room, she has heard Lacey and Charles arguing and her heart sank the moment Lacey brought up a divorce."Why?" Ian asked. "Well they got into a fight and your mother said something about divorcing your dad if he didn't tell her what it is that he was hiding from her and after that I saw your mom walking out and there were tears running down down her cheeks." Amara said. "Divorce? Was it really that big that she had to bring up a divorce." Ian asked. "I guess so." Amara said. Ian sighed. "So are you going to check on him?" Amara asked. "Alright how about this, you go and check on my dad, since you are a woman and you might tell him what his mistake was and I'll go and look for mom." He said. Amara cared about Ian's parents because they care about her too and they also showered her with love and affection."Okay" She said and she went out, heading to Charles and Lacey's room. And Ian went out to look for his mother.
