Chapter 98: Should I Just Walk?

Adam sighed seeing as she was taking him seriously.

"The company obviously started going down because of the issue about the ghost writer and my father was filled with rage towards me. I caused it after all," he started.

Amethyst didn't mock him or told him that karma is real instead she listened to what else he has to say.

"After being kicked out by my father and was left to fend for myself, I understood finally just why you were so serious in what you were doing just to survive back then. It might be that I only experienced it for a few months," he chuckled bitterly.

To say he understood why she was like that back then was an overstatement.

Because what she experienced was something close to experiencing it her whole life.
