Chapter 19: Only A Bit Of It

"You don't seem too shock," Scarlet commented seeing Amethyst's reaction.

"To say I wasn't shock is an over statement, I think after hearing about your project and the way you asked me to do things. I already have an idea that you are someone of the same world as I was. What shocked me right now is the fact that you are actually Ms. Night. One of the best authors out there right now," Amethyst replied with a sigh.

She was shock but having been in so much of a roller coaster rides of emotions for the past week, she was able to accept this information easier.

But despite knowing of it, Amethyst chose to remain silent, waiting for Scarlet to speak more.

"I am Ms. Night and in the past I was asked to appear but chose not to because the time I was asked to, I found out that I am sick," she sighed and smiled bitterly.

Being acknowledged by many in that one thing you really loved doing would make anyone to have a chance to meet all those who showed support them.

So she felt sad about it, not just sad but very much. She had cried her eyes out for a week after knowing of her sickness.

And because of this, she didn't want her readers to meet her just momentarily but then to let her go not long after finally meeting her.

She could just remain as a mystery to all of them until the very end.

"Do you remember the time we fought and I spoke to you the next day?" Scarlet then asked her.

"Yes, it was the start of all our interactions," Amethyst replied.

Scarlet nodded her head, "I want to finish this book but..."

She looked down at her hand, thinner from way way back, "I can feel my body losing its strength. I want him to allow me to go to some more places but he is my doctor and he also knew that my body won't be able to last long."

She once again looked up to her, "That is why your arrival is my saving grace. I was curious of your identity because of all your actions and the books in your room. Upon finding out who you were, I already want to ask for your help."

Amethyst listened carefully.

"But I don't know how to ask you because why would Astral suddenly go on a hiatus at the peak of her career? Why would you suddenly stop working on your stories?"

Scarlet smiled sadly, "That is why I didn't try to pry. But you came to me and lent me your hand. You gave me hope by asking what you can do. Amethyst I didn't try to hide that I know of your past to use you. I did it because I have no desire to make you remember anything bad by asking you why you stopped being Astral."

She reached out and held Amethyst's hand, "But in the end, because of my actions, I still ended up hurting you. I really am sorry about that. I should have told you sooner."

Amethyst shakes her head, "It is not really your fault. If I really didn't want to be discovered I should have hid everything related to that time. I should have tried erasing everything in order to hide my past. But I didn't and that allowed you to know."

"Still I hurt you, I want to apologize for the pain," Scarlez gave her hand a squeeze.

A tear dropped from Amethyst's eyes after hearing what she really wants to apologize for.

In the past, they didn't bother thinking about her pain. They didn't bother just how much it hurt her seeing them betray her while not looking even a little bit guilty.

Yet this beautiful stranger, this angelic looking lady, apologized to her pain that she didn't deliberately caused.

Scarlet was stunned before she raised her hand and wiped the tear on her cheek.

"Be happy Amethyst, no matter what I know you are a wonderful person. So be happy with your life, it doesn't have to be now but someday you should return to his world. Because you were born for it."

Amethyst stared at her.

"The notes you gave me, they were filled with the right emotions, right thoughts I wanted my character to have. You can do that Amethyst. You can put yourself in the character of the story and act as them. Something not all could really have."

Amethyst looked down, she does not know what to say about this.

"Then as Ms. Night can I ask miss Amethyst Evans, not Astral not the writer of the past, but the you right now. I want to ask you for help in order to finish one last master piece. A child waiting to be born."

Amethyst hiccuped, the blood of the past, the blood of a writer, of someone who loves running her imagination. Started boiling again, the sleeping desire started waking up.

"Can you?" Scarlet asked again with a smile.

Amethyst's tears came out as she nodded her head, "If Ms. Night will allow this one to help her in this project then please take care of me."

Who said she never wanted to return?

Who said she never dreamt of creating more of those stories?

Who said she never wanted to pick up her laptop and her pen?

She had tried millions of times after leaving their home but to no avail.

She couldn't, more like she has no courage to face the past she left behind.

But maybe she was just waiting for someone.

Someone who won't take everything from her but someone who pull her and give her a lift. To encourage her and tell her she was doing great.

Something she never got the chance to feel in the past.

Because she never received the support of her family and she didn't get the chance to have friends because of another matter from a far away past.

Her whole world closed of to everyone and she remained in her imagination, enjoying her own world.

Until that day more than five years ago where she could only runaway to the real world, leaving her other world behind.

"I am too old yet I am crying like a child, I am sorry," she wiped her tears that just won't stop.

Scarlet smiled warmly at her, "It is fine, cry all you want."

Amethyst cried even more while Scarlet held her hand patting it from time to time.

Slate, who was just outside the door, had an imperceptible smile in his face.

"You look happy," Gabriel commented when he passed by him.

"Am I?" he asked his smile that wasn't visible disappear entirely.

"That lady, I'm shock you guys get close to one," Gabriel leaned on the wall Slate was leaning on.

"Why do you think that way?" Slate asked him.

"Well, you and your sister are aloof towards ladies. But somehow you have one close to you right now."

Slate looked at him as if he was answering an already answered question, "Those ladies come close to her because of me. Do you really think we would want to be close with anyone like that?"

"Hmm, come to think of it. Wasn't she the one you threw here about two years ago before leaving?" Gabriel finally remembered.

He had been thinking where he had seen her face before but now after speaking with Slate, he finally remembered.

"It was indeed her but back then we have no idea what she going through," Slate answered truthfully.

"But now you know?"

Slate shook his head a little, "Only a bit of it. She seems to be hiding more trauma than what she already showed."
