I was woken up by a knock on the door. Sigh, I hate mornings.

Oh thank god, phew. I forgot. I went to open the door to find Kinto standing in front of me wearing a sleeveless, scarlet dress with some flower pattern at the bottom. She had a hairpin with a beautiful blue rose and a light blue purse on her arm.

"well, I was going to ask if you're ready to meet my father but based on how you look, I guess not" she crossed her hands

"uhh…" I look down to see my PJ and messy hair

"I knew something like this was going to happen" she reached just materialized a suit for me to wear. Oh wait, that's the clothing I wore when I got zapped by the Overseer dude. The not-so-subtle nobles clothing.

"I got your clothing repaired. Whoever your tailor is, they got good taste" she hands me my clothes,

"oh sorry, I mean thanks, I mean… wait, how did you get my clot-" I asked

"go change, I'll wait at the front, bye" she ran down the hall, leaving me just standing there. Well, I guess I should change.

That has nothing to do with anything. Shortly after, I walked down to see her waiting at the front of the gate with a person trying to hit on her, clearly flaunting his wealth. Meanwhile, she seems to radiate more and more murderous intent. Yikes, better get going.

as I walked up to her to her, 3 men blocked my path

"beat it kid, don't try to hit on her. She's the boss's girl" the one in front said

Oh, I don't really like that. This sort of makes me angry

"who's that kid" the rich dude smirked, while bragging how girls that be with him will always be safe and so on "go teach him a lesson for disturbing me"

Now I'm angry. Are we allowed to fight on campus, lady in my head

The first dude slammed his fist full-force into my chest, I saw Kinto show a flash of concern. First they try to hit on my future wife, then insulted me, then attacked me. the one that hit me grinned, then paled when he saw his fist completely stopped inches from my chest. I smiled. They attacked first, now they die… that's how self-defense works right?

All three of them collapsed on the ground as if they are looking straight at a demon

Ah. I vanished and appeared behind them, making their head fly. I looked at the rich guy. A dead man. My next victim.

"d-do you know who I am? I-I-I am the next in li-" he stuttered, then his head went flying.

"how cliché" I said, walking up to her, "won't we get in trouble for the murder?"

"I called people to clean it up, no one will miss him" she continued walking

"ehh…" I followed

"it's your fault, you are much too attractive" I looked at her, just in time to see her slightly blush. Well that's new.

"let's see if you pass my father first" she looks away

Ah right, death awaits me. Well that sorta kills the mood. We soon arrived at a huge house with gold and marbles, with red velvet carpets and servants and all that. A butler guided us into the building and stood beside a stern, tough-looking man with his arms crossed and eyes like a wolf.

"Hello, I am Kinto's father" he gestured to a pair of sofas and a tea kit, with tea. Where did those come from?

Hey! I mean… thanks?... Anyway. We all sat down, the butler and Kinto's father on one side while Kinto and I sat on the other.

"so, you are the one Kinto has been talking about?"" he continued, looking at me up and down "I don't see what the fuss is about"

"wha- I'm reliable!" I stuttered. Kinto and her father raised an eyebrow

"…maybe" I continued, their facial expression didn't change.

"what's 2+6" Kinto's father asked suddenly

"286!" you know what? Don't ask how I got that number. Kinto just looks down with pure disappointment in her eyes, well… maybe a hint of humor. The father nearly burst out laughing, like his face is getting red. The butler (is he really a butler?) just poured tea with a very subtle smile.

"anyway! Let's get going, yeah?" I quickly changed the subject, I wonder if my face is red

"right, let's get to the point" the father said after calming down, though he does look more…ummm… comfortable "I am sure Kinto told you about a test"

"my death sentence? Yes" I thought inside my head

Did you just laugh? Kinto's father couldn't hold a straight face and burst out laughing, Kinto buried her face on my shoulder, the butler actually had a more obvious smile… and poured more tea.

"right…" he gasped for air "let's go to the field"

we soon arrived at a field with a huge symbol on a polished rock floating right in the middle, an arch decorated like a extravagant portal to the dragon realm or something

"this is our training field" he gestured towards the field "for you to pass the test, you must be able to hit me while inside" then walked through the gates. The moment I walked through, a force pushed me down to my knees, rendering me with the inability to even stand.

I looked at the father as he casually walked towards the centre, I turned to my right to see even Kinto struggling. Once he arrives, he sat down right at the bottom of the rock and pulled out a tea kit that looks like it was made by obsidian or something.

"the gravity where you're standing is x10, walked 10 more steps towards the rock and it becomes x20, walk 10 more again and it becomes x40, until you get to where I am it'll be x100" he sips his tea (what is up with this family and tea?) "you have 2 weeks to be able to hit me. If you fail, Kinto marries the obnoxious noble's son and you basically die.

"if you can't do it it's fine" she spoke with an almost inaudible whisper as I collapsed on the grass "many tried but failed or gave up. There was someone from a fighter's guild with an anigma of a bear, but even he failed" she sounded sad

"how could you?" I gasped dramatically, to which she looks down with shame

"we were really desperate, we never wanted to trick so many peo-" she tried to explain

"you already tried to cheat on me even before you met me?" I feigned sadness. She stutters mid sentence, then blinked in confusion.

"there is a reason I accepted your proposal without much retaliation" I sighed, "but I wont tell you yet"

"oh…" she slightly tilted her head

"your father doesn't seem delighted that you're being married off" I changed the subject "I thought he was the one who wanted to marry you off?"

"well, it's a long story but basically my father was forced to accept this marriage and he himself doesn't agree with their family customs, neither do I." she explained, "and we can't really retaliate but luckily, the man I'm supposed to marry likes to play games. He stated that if we can find someone to defeat him in 1 year, then he will call off the marriage."

"ah…" I pondered "is he strong?"

"yes" she sighed "stronger than my father by quite a bit"

"we searched for a long time now, there is only six months left before the time is up" she touched a blade of grass "we are hoping you would be strong enough to help us"
