Chapter Eleven: Your Purpose

Aise soon arrived at the city as she saw the storm surrounding it like a dome. Though, being able to control her RTO. Nothing could stop Aise from saving the city. Aise would run in as she was easily able to enter through the storm and inside the city.

Aise looked around as she could see that the entire city color was red due to the color of the storm. But she could also see the destruction that happened. As she walked around the city, she would suddenly sense danger approaching her ahead. With no choice, she pulled out Dynasty, the Sword of Dust, as she went into stance. And soon, dozens of reapers would be flying towards her as they sensed the power level from Aise. They had wanted her power as the reapers were able to grow strength, to nullify the abilities any ability user had used.

As the reapers quickly approached Aise at rapid speeds, Aise could sense the souls from the citizens screaming for help but were trapped in the reapers due to the infection. So instead of killing the reapers, she sheathed Dynasty back into it's case. Avoiding to harm any of the reapers.

As the reapers got closer to her, Aise remembered a trick Reiko once used before. Aise would think and think as she tried to remember what ability Reiko used to purify the infected souls.

Yo..kai.. Shen…Kiyo…meru… That's right. The right incantation.

Aise would get on one knee, making sure her purification wouldn't miss any of the reapers that were going after her. She had to focus, focus quickly or else she'll immediately lose due to the stance she was in and the reapers coming closer and closer. Aise would have a bright white aura, showing that she was pushing her RTO into her own aura to give her purification a bigger boost.

As seconds passed by, she was ready and the reapers were just inches closer to Aise. Ready to attack and absorb her. As the reapers reached their arms out to her, Aise had unsheathed her sword as the blade was completely white. Dynasty was ready to release the purification as Aise's eyes turned white.

"KIYOMERU YOKAI-!" Aise screamed.

Aise would swing her sword as Dynasty had released a massive bright white wave. The wave was brighter than the sun and moon, and bigger than the city itself. The wave didn't do any harm to the reapers, but it purified their darkened souls that were infected. Causing all the reapers to form back into human citizens that had once lived in the city. As the wave spread, it purified all of the souls before the wave had broken the storm dome, allowing all of the citizens to be free.

Aise stood up as she saw all of the citizens back to normal, but it wasn't finished. She had to find the others. However, she decided to get all of the citizens out of the city in case more damage was going to happen.

"Everyone out of the city!"

All of the citizens had heard Aise's voice as they didn't care if she had once almost harmed the city, but Aise had freed and saved them once again. The citizens shouted as they left the city with all exits there was as there was no time to waste. As the citizens were leaving the city, Aise took the chance to find Li Yen and the others. Aise zoomed around the city, looking for them on the lower ground. But when she didn't find any of them, she floated up into the sky, the same height as the skyscrapers.

Aise looked around, as she soon spotted Raijin on the ground, bleeding. In shock, she flew to the building Raijin was on as Aise landed before rushing towards Raijin in a worried expression. Aise felt she was already too late. Her breathing became heavy as she was scared if she found Raijin dead.

"Raijin…?" Aise mumbled.

"... Seven…" Raijin stuttered. He was barely able to talk, but he was breathing.

"Raijin… you're alright!" Aise shouted in relief.

Aise would hold Raijin in her arms. She smiled, knowing that Raijin was alive but wounded. But she never knew, it would be the greatest mistake she ever made.

Raijin would gently place his hand on Aise's wrist, but as Aise was too distracted on Raijin's wounds, Raijin grabbed onto her wrist tightly. Scaring her. She didn't understand what was happening. Aise attempted to pull back as Raijin had interrupted her healing, only for Raijin to pull Aise towards him. Not letting her go.

"Raijin-?!"

"You know… Aise.. You're easier to trick."

!!!!!

Aise would look up at Raijin as he had a devilish smirk on his face. She was tricked and had fallen into a trap, all because of her emotions getting to her. Aise attempted to pull away from Raijin, but Raijin had a better grip on her as Raijin pulled her and made her turn around as Aise heard two thuds. She looked up as she saw Li Yen's and Owen's wounded body just a few feet away from her. Kotohina landed just between Li Yen and Owen.

"Li Yen! Owen! What did you do to them-!?" Aise cried.

"I made sure they stayed in their place." Kotohina replied before she gave off a maniac laugh.

"Your good friend, Raijin, was actually on my side ever since the beginning. I sent him to Li Yen's home because I knew you would be here. I knew you would be sent to this world and one of us would have you. The first one to find you was Li Yen, but I was always the one who knew you'd be coming into this world, saving people like those pitiful heroes." Kotohina continued.

Raijin…? He was on Kotohina's side ever since the beginning?... You… you trained me. You taught me emotions, and you taught me how to live like a human. But now all of the sudden, you were on her side ever since? You… You taught me everything from the world. You taught me to be happy. You taught me to have hope. You taught me I would have something that was valuable to me. You told me so much knowledge that I didn't know. But now… you… betrayed Li Yen.. you betrayed Owen and Yuka… and you betrayed me!!!!

Aise would look at the ground. She felt betrayed as she could feel something rising. Her anger.

A white shockwave would be sent across the entire universe from the city. It pushed Raijin and Kotohina away as Aise stood up. Her white colored aura was full of RTO and her anger had caused RTO to react. Aise would float up as she had summoned… The silent death.

Aise's personality had changed as she had the urge to kill. Kill, Raijin and Kotohina. Aise's aura became more deadly and menacing, something no one would want to deal or fight with. But on the ground, a large vortex would open up as large winds started to rise. Raijin and Kotohina would get up, only for Raijin to fall backwards as he was already wounded with dozens of slashes.

What the!? How were those wounds-!? Kotohina thought, only to be interrupted by a slash she heard.

Aise would be behind Kotohina as Aise was facing the other way. Kotohina would fall to her knees as Aise glared menacingly at the wounded Raijin. Knowing that Aise was able to easily knock Kotohina down, she had one more thing to do. Kill Raijin for betraying her.

Aise would slowly approach Raijin as she raised her blade, prepared to finish him once and for all. As she got closer, Aise would slam her blade down, only for Li Yen to dash between Raijin and Aise. Catching Aise's blade just in time.

"Aise-!" Li Yen screamed.

Aise didn't listen to Li Yen or even paused. She wanted to kill Raijin and she wouldn't stop until he was dead. But because Li Yen was in the way, Aise didn't realize she would be killing Li Yen if she pushed any more pressure onto the blade.

"Listen to me Aise… you don't kill… this isn't you!" Li Yen continued.

"Huh…?" Aise mumbled.

"You have a purpose… you have a purpose to protect this universe and your people Aise! I wish I told you before your disappearance… I knew you were RTO in the first place.. But you were just a young being without any knowledge! I wanted to take you in… so you wouldn't be used as a weapon to kill people. But you protected this city… and you never killed anyone!" Li Yen shouted.

Aise would blink as she snapped out of it. Her RTO had turned off like a lightswitch as her anger had turned into dust. Aise pulled her blade back into her sheath as she helped Li Yen up. Li Yen smiled. But Aise would see Raijin just behind Li Yen, ready to stab her. Without thinking, Aise would switch places with Li yen as Aise was stabbed by Raijin's blade.

"Aise!!!"

Aise would grab Raijin even when she was wounded as Aise and Raijin slipped off of the roof. Aise soon pulled Raijin's blade out of her wound as she used it to slice Raijin in half instead. Raijin screamed in pain as Aise and Raijin fell through the large vortex from the ground. The vortex began to shake as the vortex soon closed. The storm had disappeared as everything went back to normal. But Kotohina had escaped. Owen woke up as he saw Li Yen on her knees, crying in grief.

"Dr Yen-!?" Owen shouted as he quickly stood up and would run to Li Yen.

Li Yen wouldn't stop crying, just as how she lost Haoyu. But this time, she lost Aise once again. Owen hugged Li Yen from behind, attempting to support her. But Li Yen still continued to weep.

The citizens that ran away from the city would enter back in the city as they had seen that the mess that was once created was gone. Aise had saved them all again, she just wouldn't be there to celebrate it. As the citizens looked around, the sun shined down at them. Revealing the true beauty of the sky and the half destroyed city. But as they remembered to thank Aise, they began calling out for her name. The citizens continued to look and call out for Aise, but she was nowhere to be found in the city.

"Where did Aise go-?" one of the children asked.

"I'm not sure… she was here before right!?" a citizen replied.

The citizens would gasp in shock as Li Yen and Owen had floated down onto the ground safely. The citizens would surround them as they all knew the two had a connection with Aise. They thought they would know where Aise is.

"Where's Aise-?" one of the citizens asked.

Li Yen would sigh as she took a deep breath. She wasn't sure what to say if it would make the citizens worry or feel guilty from the loss of Aise. Aise had saved Li Yen from Raijin from killing her. Yet, she couldn't save Aise. Li Yen felt guilty, but because it was the city she loved and lived in for half of her life, she spoke.

"Aise… a vortex opened up from the ground. Aise and Raijin fell in the vortex. Before I could save Aise, the vortex closed…"

The citizens gasped in shock. They were unsure if Aise was dead or alive. But from the looks of Li Yen, there were bigger chances that Aise was dead. Some citizens cried for the loss of their hero of the city. Meanwhile some Citizens were in a silent grief. The citizens were never able to thank Aise for saving them and their city once again. It was like they had completely forgotten Aise's rampage. Even if a few of them did remember Aise's rampage, they had already forgiven her.

Li Yen would look around as she climbed up a large rock. She could feel the sun shining down at Li Yen. She slightly covered her eyes, as Li Yen could remember something Haoyu had once said to her.

"The sun. It's as beautiful as the moon. Whenever I look at the moon or the sun, I can't help but smile. When the moon or the sun rises, it gives me a message of hope. That the things I've lost, will come back to me or a new beginning will happen."

As Li Yen looked at the sun rising up high into the sky, Li Yen gave a gentle smile.

. . .

It's been three months since the event. There was a "funeral" held for Aise as people from different cities had come to the funeral and gave her flowers. Every person in the city had attended it as snowflakes had slowly fallen to the ground. But the candles still were fired up brightly.

As snow continued to fall, Li Yen would be in her office, typing on her computer. She would grab her cup of coffee as she took a sip. Li Yen would mumble a few words before she stopped typing.

"Finally… I'm finished." Li Yen sighed.

"Yen!" Owen shouted.

"Huh?" Li Yen would stand up from her chair as she slowly exited out of her office.

"Lunch is ready!"

Li Yen would walk towards the kitchen, fully exiting her office. But as she left, the computer could be seen on a document. It turns out, Li Yen had written a book as she became a writer. Owen was able to create a picture for Li Yen's cover for her book. As it was a beautiful scenery of the galaxy. And the title?

The Boundless.

Aise Jugemu was presumed dead on December 25th as no one was able to find her body. It was true, Aise fell through the vortex. She could be somewhere. But the people had hoped that they were able to find Aise or Aise went into hiding like she did. But the citizens in the newly named "Heart of Seven" city will never forget what Aise did for them.
