Chapter 04 : new mystery..

In a hospital..

Chris is waiting for the operation to be completed.

After he made the doctors and nurses excited because he brought 2 children who were seriously injured.

The condition may not be serious. But for a while, he had difficulty moving his legs. When the doctor suggested an examination, he refused and chose to wait in the waiting room. Even though several nurses approached him and asked him to talk because they were worried, he still didn't move an inch and continued to wait.

Until..

"Chris! Is that you?"

The sound came from the right. He knew that it came from his old friend.

"Dominic. Why did you come here?"

"Investigation. Maybe. Rather than that, are you sure that you're okay? You look confused."

Chris saw that his feet were quite blistered. Even parts of his body were bloodstained. But he didn't mind that.

"Doesn't matter. Maybe I'm used to enduring pain. But, I'm worried about both of them. The doctors tried hard to provide help and medical treatment."

Dominic could see how worried Chris was right now.

"Could it be that the investigation you mean is...?"

The funny thing is, Dominic even threw a cold canned coffee drink. Even though he looked a little annoyed, he didn't avoid it. Once the situation had calmed down, Dominic explained to Chris the reason for coming to see him.

"Look, chris! I came here because I wanted to see the results of the medical examination. But apparently, they are still in operation."

"Medical treatment? They? Could it be those children?"

"Exactly! The children you saved are known to be from the Campbell family. And a few hours ago, a tragic murder occurred at the residence. Everyone around was very scared and didn't dare to report the incident to the police. They chose to hide."

Seeing Chris' confused reaction, it seemed natural to Dominic.

"I understand that you look confused. And I also understand that you don't need to feel guilty about it, Chris. The most important thing right now is that you have done the right thing by saving them both. To be honest, I doubted that the two of them would survive that tragic incident. But I believe that they can survive and be able to get through this terrible ordeal."

Suddenly Dominic threw something at Chris. Luckily, Chris responded quickly and was able to catch it correctly.

"Is this.."

"Recorded voice transmission obtained from one of the comrades. There, clues were found behind the tragic incident. If I show you this, who knows, you might be able to help me. However, I'm not forcing you to listen to it, because the recording was obtained during tracking and ended up being attacked by a computer virus."

Out of curiosity, Chris played the tape record..

"Rey campbell. Luna campbell. You two are suspected of... developing a drug.. . You'd better come with us quietly... now!"

The tape record has stopped.

The sound sounded very fast, but there was a crash that made it difficult to hear more fully. Unfortunately, Chris didn't know and immediately returned the tape record to Dominic.

"I assume you don't know. What is certain is that the record is the only clue I can get from this investigation."

"That's why you came to this hospital. What are you looking for in these children? Tell me!"

Chris's voice sounded like a threat.

"Calm down, Chris! It's clear that I can't ask them, right? As I said before, my goal right now is not them, it's about the data from the injuries they received. I'm worried that they're in danger. Sooner or later."

Luckily, Dominic was able to calm Chris down, who was almost angry.

Until..

"If you feel responsible for those kids, Chris. So let me do that. I will protect them. And ensure that they can have a normal life."

While Arthur listened to Dominic's explanation. What he heard seemed difficult for him to believe.

"Why didn't you explain it to me earlier, uncle? If only I had known earlier. I might want to help you out. But I.."

Dominic understands that Arthur's current feelings are angry and sad. Moreover, he also saw that Arthur's hands were shaking a lot at the moment.

Dominic remained calm and tried to calm Arthur down.

"Arthur. You can't talk like that. I know that you really want to help me. But you have to know.. I say this, because I believe. That someday you can find what you are looking for. No matter how big the situation you face. I believe that you can do it. Just like the situation you faced on that cruise ship."

"Uncle.."

"Now you know about Silent eyes. As well as about the problems that Chris faced in the past. Maybe now you won't be able to meet him again. For now, you should rest. Heal your wounds first."

"Yes, uncle."

Before Arthur left Dominic's room, the two of them did their typical greeting. Even though it looks slow, their hand movements are so synchronized.
