-Sleeping.

Deven POV.

Running late, I hate running late, especially when I can't snuggle with all of my mates, including Nevie. I hope I do make it there before her bedtime, but I am running extremely late this time, my job other than being the beta of the pack is also a police detective. Nevie is still too young to understand what I do, better keep it that way, I always hide my gun coming in the house.

When I got in I could hear her fuss and say no, she's not asleep then, I made a small turn to the office, locking my gun in and running upstairs to the main bedroom, seeing only Eric there. He's a great alpha, an amazing mate, wonderful lover, but tonight wasn't his night, the kitten was wide awake, refusing to drink her bottle.

/"Where are the rest?/" I ask him to come in the room.

/"Pack problem, Evan and Lola are taking care of it/" he says.

/"And what's up with the princess?/" I ask pointing at the wide-awake kitten.
