Chapter 2 - New Ways

Alex walked up to Jin-ah after combat class, a worried look on his face. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked.

Jin-ah turned to him, her expression confused. "Yeah, why do you ask?"

"It's just that your powers seemed... different today," Alex said. "I mean, I've never seen anyone else having a form of telekinesis doing something like that before."

Jin-ah raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"Well, it's just that my powers are similar to yours," Alex explained. "I can manipulate energy and matter at the molecular level. I've never seen anyone else do that before."

Jin-ah's eyes widened. "Really? That's... that's amazing. I had no idea."

"Yeah, it's a pretty unique power," Alex said. "I'm not sure how we got it, though. My parents were convicted supervillains, so I've always wondered if their powers had something to do with it."

Jin-ah frowned. "That must be tough. But it doesn't define who you are. You're your own person, with your own choices and actions."

Alex nodded. "Thanks. It's just been hard, you know? I'm always trying to prove myself, to show that I'm not like my parents. That I'm a good person."

"I understand," Jin-ah said. "But you don't have to prove anything to anyone. Just be yourself and do what's right. That's all that matters."

Alex smiled. "Thanks, Jin-ah. That means a lot to me."

The two stood in silence for a moment before Jin-ah spoke up. "Hey, do you want to grab some lunch together? I'm starving."

Alex's face lit up. "Sure, that sounds great. I know this great little cafe down the street. They have the best sandwiches."

Jin-ah grinned. "Lead the way, then."

As the two walked out of the school, they couldn't help but feel a sense of camaraderie and understanding between them. They may have had unique and powerful abilities, but at the end of the day, they were just two people trying to find their place in the world.

As Jin-ah and Alex walked to the cafe, they chatted about their powers and their experiences as heroes. They found that they had a lot in common, despite their different backgrounds and experiences.

"So, have you always known that you had powers?" Jin-ah asked.

"Yeah, I've always been able to manipulate energy and matter," Alex replied. "It's just something that I've always been able to do. How about you?"

"I discovered my powers when I was younger," Jin-ah said. "I was playing around with my friends, and suddenly I was able to move objects with my mind. It was crazy."

"That must have been scary," Alex said.

"It was, at first," Jin-ah admitted. "But I learned to control my powers and use them for good. And now, I can't imagine life without them."

Just then, they were joined by a young boy with dark hair and bright blue eyes. "Hey, what are you guys talking about?" he asked.

"Hey, Ben," Jin-ah said, smiling at the boy. "We were just talking about our powers."

"Oh, cool," Ben said. "I've got powers too. I can control light and turn invisible. It's pretty sweet."

Jin-ah and Alex exchanged a glance, impressed by the young hero's abilities. "That's amazing, Ben," Jin-ah said.

"Yeah, it comes in handy," Ben said, grinning. "But it's not as cool as your powers, Jin-ah. I've never seen anyone manipulate energy and matter like that before."

Jin-ah blushed, feeling a little embarrassed by the attention. "It's not as cool as you think," she said. "It's just something I can do."

"Well, I think it's amazing," Ben said. "I wish I could do that."

Jin-ah smiled. "Thanks, Ben. You're pretty amazing too. And who knows, maybe one day you'll develop new powers too."

"I hope so," Ben said, his eyes shining with excitement. "I can't wait to see what the future holds."

As the three walked to the cafe, they couldn't help but feel a sense of friendship and camaraderie growing between them. They may have been from different backgrounds and had different powers, but they were all heroes, united by their desire to use their abilities for good.

As Jin-ah, Alex, and Ben walked into the cafe, they were greeted by a tall, muscular young man with dark hair and piercing green eyes. "Hey, what's up?" he said, a friendly smile on his face.

"Hey, Micheal," Ben said, returning the smile. "We were just grabbing some lunch."

"Cool, I'm starving," Micheal said. "Mind if I join you guys?"

"Of course not," Jin-ah said. "The more the merrier."

As the four sat down at a table, they couldn't help but notice the curious glances of the other students in the cafe. It wasn't every day that the descendants of heroes and a rumoured child of villains sat down to eat together.

"Ignore them," Ben said, rolling his eyes. "They're just jealous that we get to hang out with the coolest people in school."

Jin-ah chuckled. "I don't know about that, but it is pretty cool to be hanging out with you guys."

"So, Jin-ah," Micheal said, leaning back in his chair. "I heard you're new here. Where are you from?"

"I'm from Korea," Jin-ah said. "I just moved here a few weeks ago."

"That's so cool," Ben said. "I've always wanted to visit Korea. Do you miss it?"

Jin-ah nodded. "Of course I do. I miss my family and friends, and the food is definitely something I miss. But I'm excited to be here and learn more about the hero world."

"Well, you've definitely come to the right place," Alex said. "This school is full of amazing heroes. You'll learn a lot here."

"I'm sure I will," Jin-ah said. "And I can't wait to see what the future holds."

As the four friends continued to chat and eat, they couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and possibility for what was to come. 

As Jin-ah and the other students filed into the physics classroom, they couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. They had all heard great things about their physics teacher, Mr. Kane, and were eager to learn from him.

As Mr. Kane stood at the front of the classroom, his piercing blue eyes seemed to take in everything around him. "Good morning, class," he said, his deep voice commanding attention. "I'm Mr. Kane, and I'll be your physics teacher this year. And let me tell you, we're going to be diving into some really exciting and important concepts."

Jin-ah sat up a little straighter in her seat, her curiosity piqued.

"Today, we're going to be talking about kinetic energy," Mr. Kane continued. "Kinetic energy is the energy of motion, and it's a vital concept to understand as heroes. After all, many of your powers involve moving objects or manipulating energy in some way."

Jin-ah nodded, thinking about her own powers and how they related to kinetic energy.

"There are many forms of kinetic energy," Mr. Kane said, pacing back and forth across the front of the classroom. "For example, there's thermal energy, which is the energy of heat. This can be seen in the movement of molecules in a substance. There's also electrical energy, which is the movement of electrons through a conductor. And of course, there's mechanical energy, which is the energy of a moving object."

Jin-ah listened intently, her mind racing with the possibilities of what she could do with this knowledge.

"But kinetic energy is more than just a concept to learn about in a classroom," Mr. Kane said, his voice taking on a more serious tone. "It's something that you'll use in your everyday lives as heroes. It's important to understand how it works and how to manipulate it, because it can make all the difference in a crisis situation."

Jin-ah nodded, feeling a sense of responsibility and determination wash over her. She was ready to learn all that she could and use her powers to their full potential. 

"Now, let's talk about force," Mr. Kane said, his voice bringing Jin-ah back to the present. "Force is the push or pull that can cause a change in an object's motion. And kinetic energy is directly related to force, because it's the energy that's being transferred through the force of an object's motion. So, the more force an object has, the more kinetic energy it possesses."

Jin-ah raised her hand. "So, how do we measure force?"

"Good question, Jin-ah," Mr. Kane said. "Force is usually measured in newtons, which are a unit of measure for force. And as for how we measure force, well, that can be a bit more complicated. It depends on the situation and what we're trying to measure. For example, if we want to measure the force of gravity on an object, we can use a device called a force plate. If we want to measure the force of a magnet, we can use a device called a force gauge. And if we want to measure the force of an electromagnet, we can use an oscilloscope."

Jin-ah nodded, taking in all of this information. It was a lot to process, but she was determined to understand it all.

"Now, let's talk about gravity," Mr. Kane said, a hint of a smile on his face. "Gravity is a force that attracts two objects with mass towards each other. It's what keeps us on the ground and what makes objects fall. And it's an important force to consider when it comes to kinetic energy, because it can affect the motion of objects."

Jin-ah raised her hand again. "But what about magnets and electromagnets? How do they fit into all of this?"

"Ah, excellent question," Mr. Kane said. "Magnets and electromagnets are both forces that can affect the motion of objects as well. Magnets have a north and south pole, and they can attract or repel other magnets based on their poles. Electromagnets, on the other hand, are created by running an electric current through a conductor, like a wire. They can be turned on and off, and they can also attract or repel other magnetic objects."

Jin-ah nodded, her mind racing with all of this information. It was amazing to think about all of the different forces at work in the universe, and how they all related to each other. She couldn't wait to continue learning and exploring the world of physics.

As Mr. Kane finished his explanation, one of the students in the back of the class raised their hand. "But Mr. Kane, are gravity, magnetism, and electromagnetism all forms of kinetic energy and kinetic force?"

Mr. Kane smiled. "That's a great question. The short answer is yes, they can all be considered forms of kinetic energy and kinetic force. But it's important to understand that they're all different types of energy and force, and they work in different ways. For example, gravity is a force that pulls two objects with mass towards each other, while magnetism is a force that can attract or repel other magnetic objects. And electromagnetism is a force that's created by running an electric current through a conductor. They all have their own unique properties and ways of working, but they're all related to kinetic energy and kinetic force in some way."

Jin-ah nodded, grateful for the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about these concepts. She couldn't wait to continue exploring the world of physics and learning about all of the different forces at work in the universe.

"Now, let's talk about how the universe, space, and time are all connected to kinetic force and kinetic energy," Mr. Kane said, his voice full of excitement. "As you know, the universe is vast and complex, and it's filled with all kinds of matter and energy. And it's constantly expanding and changing, thanks to the forces that are at work within it."

"One of the most important forces in the universe is the force of gravity, which we talked about earlier. Gravity is what keeps the planets in orbit around the sun, and it's also what keeps us on the ground. And it's closely connected to kinetic energy, because it can affect the motion of objects."

"But gravity isn't the only force at work in the universe. There are also other forces, like electromagnetism and the strong and weak nuclear forces, that play important roles in the way the universe works. And all of these forces are connected to kinetic energy and kinetic force in some way."

"Now, let's talk about space and time. Space is what we call the three-dimensional area around us, and it's filled with all kinds of matter and energy. And time is what we use to measure the duration of events, from the smallest fractions of a second to the longest eons of the past."

"But space and time are more than just words we use to describe the world around us. They're also closely connected to the concept of kinetic energy and kinetic force. For example, the faster an object is moving, the more kinetic energy it has. And the faster an object is moving through space, the more time appears to slow down for it. This is known as time dilation, and it's a consequence of the relationship between space, time, and kinetic energy."

Jin-ah couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder as she listened to Mr. Kane's explanation. The concept of time dilation was especially fascinating to her, and she couldn't wait to learn more about it. She raised her hand. "Could you explain more about time dilation, Mr. Kane?"

This is because the faster an object is moving, the more kinetic energy it has, and the more its movement is affected by the curvature of space-time. It's a complex concept, but it's an important one to understand when it comes to the relationship between kinetic energy, kinetic force, and the universe."

"So, to sum up what we've learned so far," Mr. Kane said, "we've talked about how kinetic energy and kinetic force are closely related to the forces at work in the universe, and how they can affect the motion of objects. But did you know that theoretically, kinetic energy and kinetic force could be used to create matter?"

"You see, matter is made up of particles, like protons, neutrons, and electrons. And these particles are constantly moving and interacting with each other, thanks to the forces at work within them. But it's possible that under certain conditions, kinetic energy and kinetic force could be used to create new particles, or even entire atoms."

"For example, when two particles collide with a high amount of kinetic energy, they can create a new particle. This is known as particle production, and it's a process that occurs naturally in the universe, but it can also be artificially created in a laboratory setting."

"Similarly, if a high amount of kinetic force is applied to a small area, it can create a new type of matter called quark-gluon plasma. This is a state of matter that's composed of quarks and gluons, which are the building blocks of protons and neutrons. Quark-gluon plasma was first observed in the early 2000s, and it's thought to have existed in the early universe, just a few microseconds after the Big Bang."

"So, as you can see, kinetic energy and kinetic force have the potential to create and shape matter in some incredible ways. It's a fascinating field of study, and one that we'll be exploring more in future lessons."

Jin-ah nodded, taking in all of the information Mr. Kane had shared with her. She couldn't wait to learn more about the ways in which kinetic energy and kinetic force could be used to shape and create matter. It was a truly mind-blowing concept, and one that she was eager to explore further.

"Now, let's talk about the relationship between kinetic and potential energy," Mr. Kane continued. "As you know, kinetic energy is the energy of motion, while potential energy is the energy of position."

"For example, when an object is at rest, it has potential energy, because it has the potential to move and do work. On the other hand, when an object is in motion, it has kinetic energy, because it's actually doing work."

"But these two types of energy are not mutually exclusive. In fact, they can be converted into each other, depending on the situation. For example, if you lift a book off the ground and hold it at shoulder level, you're converting the potential energy of the book into kinetic energy, because you're using your muscles to lift it and hold it in place."

"Similarly, if you drop the book, it will fall to the ground, and the potential energy will be converted back into kinetic energy as it falls. This is known as the law of conservation of energy, which states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only converted from one form to another."

"Now, let's talk about some of the more extravagant ways in which kinetic and potential energy shape and form the universe," Mr. Kane said, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I'm talking about things like black holes, nebulae, and stars."

"You see, these celestial bodies are some of the most extreme and fascinating objects in the universe, and they wouldn't exist without the power of kinetic and potential energy."

"Take black holes, for example. These mysterious objects are formed when a star collapses in on itself, creating a singularity where the gravitational force becomes so strong that not even light can escape."

"This collapse is driven by the kinetic energy of the star's motion and the potential energy of its mass, and it's what gives black holes their incredibly powerful gravitational force."

"Similarly, nebulae are huge clouds of gas and dust that form when stars die and explode, releasing their kinetic and potential energy in a massive burst of light and heat. This energy drives the formation of new stars and planets, creating the building blocks of the universe."

"And speaking of stars, these celestial bodies are essentially giant balls of gas and plasma, held together by their own gravitational force and the kinetic and potential energy of their motion.

"So, as you can see, kinetic and potential energy are behind some of the most amazing and awe-inspiring phenomena in the universe, and they continue to drive the evolution and expansion of the cosmos even today."

"Well, that concludes our lesson on kinetic and potential energy," Mr. Kane said as he wrapped up the class. "I hope you have a better understanding of how these fundamental forces shape and form the universe we live in, and how they play a role in everything from the smallest particles to the largest structures in the cosmos."

"Remember, energy and force are the driving forces behind the way the universe works, and they are essential to understanding how everything from atoms to galaxies behave and interact with each other."

"So, keep this in mind as you continue your studies and explore the amazing world of physics and the universe. And if you have any questions or want to learn more, don't hesitate to ask."

"That's all for today. Class dismissed." The students gathered their things and filed out of the classroom, chatting excitedly about what they had learned. As Jin-Ah packed up her things, she couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the power of kinetic and potential energy, and how they shaped and formed the world around her. She couldn't wait to learn more and see what other amazing discoveries awaited her in the world of physics and the universe.

After class, Jin-Ah made her way to one of the empty training rooms to test out her powers. She had been itching to see if she could mimic the contents of the lessons, and now seemed like the perfect opportunity.

"Okay, let's see if I can turn potential energy into kinetic energy," Jin-Ah muttered to herself as she focused on a nearby weight bench. She concentrated on the potential energy stored within the bench, feeling it pulsing and thrumming with energy.

With a burst of determination, Jin-Ah willed the energy to release, and suddenly the bench flew across the room with a loud whirr. Jin-Ah gasped in surprise as the bench crashed into the far wall, denting the metal and sending a shower of sparks flying.

"Whoa, that was way more powerful than I expected," Jin-Ah breathed, her heart racing with excitement. She couldn't believe how easily she had turned potential energy into kinetic energy, and how much power she had unleashed in the process.

Feeling energised and empowered, Jin-Ah decided to try out some of the other things she had learned in class. She experimented with manipulating the kinetic energy of objects, speeding them up or slowing them down with a mere thought. She even tried creating force fields and telekinetically lifting heavy weights, amazed at how easily her powers responded to her will.

By the time Jin-Ah was finished, she was sweating and exhausted, but exhilarated by the sheer power she had wielded. She couldn't wait to see what else she was capable of, and what other amazing abilities lay waiting to be discovered.

Jin-Ah couldn't help but wonder what would happen if she focused all of her kinetic energy on one specific spot. Would it be more destructive, or would it just dissipate and have no effect?

She decided to test it out on a nearby training dummy, focusing all of her energy on its chest. She felt the energy building up inside her, pulsing and thrumming with power as she prepared to release it.

With a burst of determination, Jin-Ah let go, and the dummy exploded in a shower of sparks and debris. Jin-Ah gasped in shock as the room filled with the smell of burning plastic and the sound of shattering metal.

"Oh my god, that was insane," Jin-Ah breathed, her heart racing with a mixture of fear and excitement. She couldn't believe the destructive power of her abilities, and how easily she had destroyed the dummy.

She realised that she needed to be more careful with her powers, or she could end up causing serious damage or harm to herself or others. She made a mental note to practise more control and discipline in the future, so she could use her abilities safely and effectively.

Feeling both exhilarated and a little shaken, Jin-Ah left the training room and headed back to her dorm, eager to rest and reflect on all that she had learned and experienced that day.

As Jin-Ah walked back to her dorm, she couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by all that had happened that day. She had learned so much about her powers, and had even discovered that she had more control and potential than she had ever realised.

But she had also learned the dangers of her abilities, and the importance of discipline and control. She knew that she had a long way to go before she could fully master her powers, but she was determined to work hard and become the best hero she could be.

As she entered her dorm room and collapsed onto her bed, Jin-Ah couldn't help but feel excited about the journey that lay ahead. She had a feeling that this was just the beginning, and that there was so much more she had yet to discover and achieve.

With a smile on her face and a sense of purpose in her heart, Jin-Ah fell into a deep and restful sleep, ready to tackle whatever challenges the future might bring.

Jin-Ah was walking to her next class when she saw a commotion up ahead. She quickened her pace, curious to see what was going on.

As she approached, she saw her friend Alex standing face to face with a boy she didn't recognize. They were both radiating energy, and Jin-Ah could feel the tension in the air.

"What's going on here?" Jin-Ah asked, trying to defuse the situation.

"This guy was trying to start something with me," Alex explained, his eyes narrowed as he glared at the other boy. "He doesn't like that I'm a rumored child of villains."

Jin-Ah felt a surge of anger and frustration on behalf of her friend. She knew that Alex had a tough time at the school because of his background, and it wasn't fair that he had to constantly deal with this kind of discrimination.

"That's not right," Jin-Ah said firmly, turning to the other boy. "We're all here to learn and become heroes, no matter our backgrounds. You have no right to judge Alex or anyone else."

The other boy sneered, his fists clenched at his sides. "I don't have to listen to you," he spat out. "You don't know anything about me or my powers."

"I don't have to," Jin-Ah replied calmly. "But I'm not going to stand here and watch you bully someone just because you don't like them. That's not what being a hero is about."

For a moment, the boy looked like he was going to continue the argument, but then he seemed to deflate, his shoulders slumping in defeat.

"Fine," he muttered, turning and walking away. "I'm not going to waste my time on this."

Jin-Ah let out a sigh of relief as the tension in the air dissipated. She turned to Alex, offering him a sympathetic smile.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

Alex nodded, his expression grateful. "Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for standing up for me."

"Anytime," Jin-Ah replied, giving her friend a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "We have to stick together, right?"

Alex grinned. "Definitely. Thanks, Jin-ah. You're the best."

Jin-Ah returned the smile, feeling happy and relieved that the situation had been resolved peacefully. She knew that she had a lot to learn about being a hero, but she was determined to stand up for what was right and protect those who needed it.

Together, she and Alex walked to class, ready to face whatever challenges the day might bring.

Jin-Ah and Alex were walking to their next class, chatting about their powers and the incident that had just occurred, when suddenly, Jake appeared out of nowhere and attacked them.

Jin-Ah was caught off guard, stumbling back as Jake swung his fist at her. She managed to dodge at the last second, narrowly avoiding the blow.

"What are you doing?" she shouted, trying to reason with Jake. "We weren't doing anything to you!"

Jake didn't seem to be listening, his eyes wild with anger. "I won't let any rumored children of villains get away with disrespecting me!" he yelled, launching another attack at Jin-Ah.

Alex stepped in, trying to defend Jin-Ah and himself. "Come on, Jake, calm down," he said, using his energy manipulation powers to deflect Jake's punches. "We don't want to fight you."

But Jake was beyond reasoning, his powers as a terrakinesis user going haywire as he attacked relentlessly. Jin-Ah and Alex were doing their best to fend him off, but they were no match for his rage.

Just as Jin-Ah was starting to lose hope, she heard someone calling out to them.

"Hey, what's going on here?"

Jin-Ah turned to see Ben, the youngest of the descendants, running towards them. He was followed by a group of other students, who had been attracted by the commotion.

"Jake, stop this!" Ben shouted, trying to get through to his friend. "You're not acting like yourself!"

But Jake paid no attention, his focus solely on Jin-Ah and Alex.

"I won't let them get away with this!" he yelled, his fists flying.

Jin-Ah and Alex were starting to tire, their powers no match for Jake's frenzied attack. Just when they thought they couldn't hold out any longer.

As the fight between Jake and Alex escalated, Jin-ah could feel the energy in the air growing more and more intense. She had never seen anything like this before, and she wasn't sure how to react. Just as she was about to try and intervene, she saw Ben, the youngest of the descendants, trying to calm the situation down. But Jake was having none of it. He continued to aggressively confront Alex, and it was clear that things were about to turn violent.

Just as Jin-ah was bracing herself for the worst, she saw a blur of movement out of the corner of her eye. Suddenly, Madison, the strongest and most physically indomitable of the descendants, appeared out of nowhere. She grabbed Jake by the shoulders and effortlessly lifted him off his feet.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Madison shouted, her eyes blazing with anger. "You know better than to start a fight like this! What's wrong with you?!"

Jake struggled in Madison's grip, but it was clear that he was no match for her strength. "Let go of me!" he yelled, his face turning red with anger. "I have to teach this punk a lesson!"

"You're not teaching anyone a lesson by acting like this!" Madison snapped, her grip on Jake growing tighter. "You need to calm down and think about what you're doing!"

Jake continued to struggle for a few more seconds, but eventually he seemed to realize that he was no match for Madison. He went limp in her arms, his shoulders slumping in defeat.

"I'm sorry," he muttered, his voice barely audible.

"You should be," Madison said, her voice stern but laced with concern. "You need to control your temper, Jake. You can't go around starting fights like this. Do you understand?"

Jake nodded, and Madison slowly released her grip on him. He stumbled backward a few steps, looking sheepish and embarrassed.

"I'm sorry," he said again, looking down at the ground. "I don't know what came over me."

"It's okay," Madison said, her voice softening. "Just try to control yourself from now on, okay? And apologize to Alex for what you did."

Jake nodded again, and Madison gave him a pat on the shoulder before walking away. Jin-ah watched the whole exchange with a mix of shock and confusion. She had never seen anything like this before, and she wasn't sure what to make of it. But one thing was clear: the world of superpowers was a lot more complicated than she had ever imagined.

As Madison scolded Jake, Micheal arrived on the scene, panting heavily as he tried to catch his breath. "What the hell is going on here?" he asked, looking around at the group of students gathered around Jake's prone form.

Madison sighed, shaking her head. "Jake just decided to attack Alex and Jin-ah for no reason," she explained, gesturing to the two students in question. "I had to neutralize him before things got out of hand."

Micheal's eyes widened in shock. "What? Jake, what were you thinking?" he asked, turning to the Terrakinetic Descendant who was currently being helped to his feet by Ben and Emily.

Jake scowled, brushing away from the other students. "I don't know," he muttered, looking away. "I just saw them standing here and I lost control. I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me."

Micheal sighed, shaking his head. "Come on, let's go talk to Ms. Thompson about this," he said, leading Jake away from the group. "I don't know what's going on with you, but we need to figure it out before something like this happens again."

As the two Descendants walked away, Alex turned to Jin-ah, a worried expression on her face. "Are you okay?" she asked, placing a hand on Jin-ah's shoulder. "I'm sorry about Jake, I had no idea he was going to attack us like that."

Jin-ah nodded, shaking off the shock of the sudden attack. "I'm fine," she said, forcing a smile. "Thanks for your help, Madison. I'm glad you were able to neutralize Jake before things got any worse."

Madison nodded, giving Jin-ah a reassuring smile. "No problem," she said. "I'm just glad I was able to help. Let's hope this is the last we see of this kind of behavior from Jake."

As the group of students dispersed, Jin-ah couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She had never witnessed something like that before, and it had left her feeling shaken and unsure of what to do.

She turned to Alex, who was still standing beside her, a worried expression on her face. "I'm sorry about Jake," she said, shaking her head. "I don't know what's going on with him, but I hope he gets the help he needs."

Alex nodded, a concerned look in her eyes. "I hope so too," she said, sighing. "I've never seen him act like that before. It's like something snapped inside of him and he just lost control."

Jin-ah nodded, her thoughts drifting back to the moment when Jake had attacked them. She knew firsthand the dangers of losing control of her powers, and she couldn't even imagine the kind of destruction someone with Jake's abilities could wreak if they weren't careful.

"I hope this is the end of it," she said, shaking her head. "I don't want to see anyone get hurt because of something like this."

Alex nodded, placing a comforting hand on Jin-ah's shoulder. "I know," she said. "But let's try not to worry too much. Ms. Thompson and the rest of the staff will take care of everything. We just need to focus on our own training and getting stronger."

Jin-ah smiled, feeling a sense of determination rise within her. She was determined to become the best hero she could be, and she knew that meant pushing herself to her limits and never giving up.

With that thought in mind, she turned to Alex and offered her hand. "Let's go train," she said, a determined look in her eyes. "We have a lot of work to do if we want to become the best heroes we can be."
