I still love him..

A week goes by, Luke and I get along great. We have the same interests and we mess with each other playfully. We are having such a bless. But I can't get Elliott out of my mind. I know, I'm not being fair to anyone. But Luke is just a friend. Right? It's not like he likes me back. Well, to be fair, Elliott never showed an interest in me. But what if he actually would? It's not like I could say no to him. It's Elliot! Elliott; the guy I liked from the first day I started at the same elementary school. Then Luke tells me something, but I was too stuck daydreaming to notice anything.

"huh?" I say.

"Did you even listen to me Toby?" Luke says sounding frustrated.

"Yeah, you were talking about cars." I said, guessing my answer.

"that was like 10 minutes ago? Where were you?" Luke says with a playfull grin on his face.

"I was here, I swear." I say all confused.

"oh, yeah? Then tell me what I told you?" Luke says while he smirks.

"I.." I say trying to come up with an quick response.

"Yeah.." Luke says trying to get me to answer.

"You were talking about people." I guessed.

"what kind of people?" Luke asked.

"I don't know, how am I supposed to answer that?" I say, hoping that that would be enough to get him of my back.

"That Toby, is why you should always pay attention to people" Luke smirks.

"It's hard to remember everything when you tell me 20 things you want me to remember" I laugh.

Luke looks a bit like he got slapped in the face. But then he starts laughing as well.

We kept talking with each other for what felt like hours. Then it was time for us to head home. He asked if he could keep me company while walking to the bus station and I told him yes.

We walked and talked the whole way. Then I arrived at my bus stop and we kept talking. Then we started hugging each other and that's when I noticed Elliot.

I panicked, pushing Luke away. Freaking out.

"I'm sorry" Luke said.

"I shouldn't have done that."

"No, it's not your fault. You did nothing wrong." I said.

Elliot looked at us rolling his eyes.

I apologised to Luke for my reaction.

"I get it, you probably have a boyfriend and you don't want to make him jealous." he sounded like he truly meant it.

"No, I don't have a boyfriend. I don't know why I did that" I said smiling awkwardly.

"it's okay." Luke says giving me an comforting smile.

"well that's my bus, I'll see you tomorrow." Luke says smiling and running of to his bus.

"see you." I say while waving goodbye.

I can feel Elliotts eyes on me.

Wich makes me feel like I cheated.

But I had no clue that that day, would change everything.
