I am not sure on how long I was asleep for but I almost jumped out of my skin in shock when I opened my eyes to Nathaniel and Anna arguing by bedside.
When did they get here?
What the hell is Nathaniel doing here?
"What are you guys doing?" I spoke up and they turned in unison to my direction.
Anna immediately came to my side and peered closely at me.
"What is going on?" I asked as she hugged me tightly.
"Why were you drinking?" she asked suddenly, pointing to the cup on the bedside table.
The memory of a few hours ago came rushing back.
I drank without hesitation.
"It can harm the baby" She said when she did not respond, and I looked up in fear. I wasn't expecting her to say that with Nathaniel standing a few distance away.
"Nathaniel is here" I whisper-yelled, and look at Nathaniel watching us with a guarded expression.
