Viridian Forest #3

Kimi's father Max fell into a deep sleep in his own tent after the father and daughter spent some quality time together around the camp fire.

Kimi listened in to check if he was sleeping then went to her tent to get changed after checking her surroundings.

Once she emerged, there were two Pokéballs attached to her waist while there were other kept in her bag.

Her body was covered in a greenish and black camouflage hoody and pants while a plain white mask covered her face under the hood.

Her figure quietly left the tent behind which had been sprayed with repellent to keep Pokémon away for the night.

Deeper into the forest where there was nothing but a dead end and lots of wild Pokémon, there was a large amount of Caterpie, Metapod and Buttefree.

It only took them a short time to evolve just like Beedrill so the popularion of the Butterfree had quickly gotten out of control.

The release of poison, paralysis and sleep came from their fluttering wings which caused danger to anyone that stepped into their territory without being prepared.

A slight flap of their wings created a gust to let it travel further towards any intruders so the danger was increased.

Nobody would be so careless to approach unless they had a death wish or they had come prepared.

Kimi held a cloth over her mouth underneath the mask which was soaked in medicine, a wave of her hand released two figures which were Grimer and Scyther. "Scyther fly up and use Wing Attack."

Grimer stood among the poison in the area and felt very at home.

The toxicity suited it well and only seemed to increase its own toxicity as it breathed them in. "Grimer."

A poison cloud was released from its body as it stood a little in front of Kimi and its strong stench spread around which was like the smell of rotting corpses.

Scyther had already flew towards the sky and then hit a single Butterfree with his wings while hitting another which was by its side.

It had been directed to fly above to avoid most of the poison in the area and to stay above the Butterfree so it could avoid having the poisons directed towards it.

Two Butterfree fell down upon being hit and Grimer slapped some mud towards the Caterpie that were shooting string shots towards it.

Upon seeing the falling Butterfree, it moved closer to use Mud Shot on them followed by Lick which caused them to faint.

Two illegal Pokéballs landed on them which lead to their capture and Grimer continued its assault on the ground as it continued to harm the Caterpie.

Two Scythers appeared in the sky as it used Double Team which allowed it to escape the response from the Butterfree.

Grimer picked up the Pokéballs and moved towards Kimi after it had consumed a couple of the Caterpie laying on the ground.

Once it got close to Kimi, Grimer dropped them and returned to its Pokéball.

Kimi quickly picked them up then ran away with Scyther following behind.

The angry Butterfree followed behind after seeing how their comrades were cruelly treated.

Kimi quickly noticed the condition of Scyther who had been poisoned after being exposed to the environment for too long so she called it back.

She continued running through the night until she found a hole which had been dug into the ground so she slid down it. "Phew.."

The dirt flew into her face as she slid downward until she hit the ground. "So this is the place of rumour."

When a torch was taken out and turned on, the scene of a dug out underground cave had come into view.

Kimi released Scyther and Grimer once again then applied some medicine to them both to heal their wounds and the poison Scyther had come into contact with it.

"Grimer."

"Scyther."

After Kimi had completed her task, she looked up towards the top of the hole and sensed around with the use of her aura. 'It seems that they have lost sight of me and are still looking around.'

During her previous life in between her duties or on them, she heard many rumours about certain things happening around where she had been working at that time.

There were illegal groups gathering together to capture a Pokémon or to harvest rare materials illegally and by using harmful tactics which could affect the environment and the safety of humans and Pokémon alike.

Among them were people who searched for rare items like stones, fossils or rare rocks.

They dug around in all kinds if places while not thinking of the safety of others so many fell into the holes left behind and were injured then were unable to escape.

If they were lucky then they were rescued but if they were unlucky then they would starve to death underground.

Worst case scenario was that they would be crushed to death by the falling debris if the dug out cave was not stable.

There were cases within the Jenny family or her department came across such cases and had to secure the environment for safety reasons until the holes were filled up and there was no more risk to others.

In more rare cases where there were things discovered underground, it would become a newly discovered area which would be forwarded to the league to handle.

The Jenny family and other police organisation were run based on the publics and leagues support so they could not take the benefits for themselves if such things were discovered.

There might have been some cases where some people took a little for themselves but it was still illegal and they would have been punished for doing so unless they were caught or had enough power to sweep it away.

Usually those with enough influence could get away with just about anything so long as they had the right amount of connections and did not step on the toes of those in power too much.
