Kimi and Luci

Rumours of a masked vigilante started to be spread around Saffron City that was accompanied by a Grimer, Nidoran and a metallic red bug Pokémon.

The masked vigilante had been involved with a recent case involving a group of Pokémon hunters that had been found tied up after their cruelty towards many poison Pokémon were put to a stop.

Kimi could make use of the underground path between the east and west to travel between locations underneath the city then there was another one that travelled between the north and south.

Route 5-6 and 7-8 allowed her to make a trip to one route to set up her body double then she could travel through the tunnels as Luci to appear on the other side.

Her double would take Growlithe and Espeon to train further while she could go out a little more in the open to train Nidoran further and to make more appearances as Lu.

In order to create a more believable cover for her identity, it had to be more believable and there had to be sightings of the two identities as the same time.

Once Kimi had gained enough exposure to other people and got them talking, she had left the area to avoid being found by others.

After a little more counter tracking, Kimi changed up her disguise once again then entered the tunnels then completed the same thing as she returned to her identity as Kimi.

It required her body double to go more private place so that the switch could be done when nobody was looking then she went back to the activities that her body double had been doing.

With the use of her aura sense, it was much easier to pick up on the auras of others to check to see if she was being followed by others or if she caught the attention of others.

It allowed her to be fast in response when she needed to lose someone that was tailing her and it helped her to move around more difficult terrain or places that had poorer visibility.

Using blind spots or the darkness, she was able to hide or make use of blind spots to make a sharp turn in another direction without being noticed by those pursuing her.

There was a brief investigation into the vigilante that was her alternative identity but it had not reached the point where the police force was desperate enough to want to bring her in for anything besides questioning.

Kimi had not killed anyone and had prevented a lot of harm to the Pokémon, if something like that had been done by an ordinary trainer, mercenary or bounty hunter then they would be rewarded for it.

Her alternative identity did not show up to collect the reward and had instead taken the private stash of the criminals that may have been confiscated by the authorities if they were able to get the information out of the criminals during the investigation.

Since it was a first time thing that appeared for her other identity and she had done a lot of good, those matters could be overlooked for the time being.

Saffron City was a much larger city than Viridian City and others that had fewer resources and manpower put into their police force and security but Saffron City came with far bigger and more complicated cases to handle on a daily basis.

They could hardly spare the resources needed to track down Kimi to bring her in for questioning when she did not need to be found.

The character profiles used to identify her two identities were beginning to form and were quite different so it would be difficult to guess that they were the same person.

One was a bounty hunter or mercenary type of Pokémon trainer that had become more well known recently when she took on the danger to inform others about and to bring down a group that could of caused a disaster on Mt. Moon.

Her current identity was very clean, she enlisted for to be a candidate to receive a bravery and heroism award and she only took the rewards that should be awarded to her.

There were some times when Kimi may have kept some things for herself after bringing down the criminals but those were her spoils of war anyways unless they absolutely needed to be taken away to be used as further evidence or for some Pokémon to be put through a retraining program.

If there were some bonuses gained during a task or an event like in Mt. Moon then the option was always available for a trainer to hand them over to possibly receive further payment or they could handle the additional things themselves.

Not every police post or officials office around Kanto had the resources to chase up such things and they relied on the efforts of the trainers to help out with certain things so they let certain things slide even if some trainers took a little for themselves.

If it was them that did most of the work then they partly deserved it since Pokémon trainers often made wagers between themselves in the form of currency, property or Pokémon during their battles.

There were no major laws against such wagers and it was only ever a problem when there had been no agreement made and such groups like dark trainers or Team Rocket attacked trainers before stealing their Pokémon.

It was viewed very differently when the person that was taken from was someone that was a criminal and those things may not have been their own or they may not have treated them with the care a normal trainer would.

One of the reasons why Kimi struggled to pass her exams for the license was due to there being a lot of unclear, loose or questionable laws in place that gave a lot more freedom to trainers so it was difficult to get used to compared to the more defined laws she followed in her first life.

Her second identity was less clean even if there were some good sides to it that were the saving of the poison Pokémon, the torture on the criminals that was inflicted had shown that she was far more greedy and cruel than her first identity.

So far that cruelty only extended towards criminals and that cruelty had been successful in extracting useful information and their private stash.

She took the stash for herself along with the most important information but the evidence and other useful information had been passed along to assist with the investigation so there was still a hint of justice within her actions even if it was tainted by the greed and wrath displayed.

The location that Kimi was staying in was a cheap housing area in Saffron City due to her not being able to afford buying a large home within the big city that had homes with much larger market prices.

She was still on the lookout for a permanent home but what she had suited her present situation was where she was living.

The rent was cheaper and even if it was smaller, it had what she needed.

A couple of days had passed since the investigation began and it was dropped when they could not track down Luci so Kimi finally decided to use her main identity to gradually create a regular timetable for herself or some form of regular activity.

Kimi arrived in front of a large building that had wide open doors and the sounds of roars or grunts within.

There was the strong smell of sweat within and many people were busy training their bodies, sparring, shadow boxing or practicing their basic forms along with their instructors.

There was a very large amount of two Pokémon that were Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan that were practicing their kicks or punches.

Someone saw her at the door and asked. "Are you here to challenge, spectate or join the dojo?"

Kimi showed a polite smile and answered. "I wish to join."
