Battle Underground

Poison Powder filled the room adding to what already remained which caused Growlithe, Eevee, Cubone and Scyther to be caught up in it while they were busy dealing with their own individual duties.

Grimer seemed to barely be affected as it moved around and used Mud Slap and Lick each time it got within range thanks to the distractions provided by the others.

Kimi still refused to call upon Ryhorn because it was far too big and its attacks would only cause a collapse of the underground tunnels.

Poliwag was still providing cover with its water attacks from far away while Tangela did its best to keep the remaining vines from hitting any of its allies.

A greenish glow surrounded the body of Tangela as it locked onto its target which was the Victreebell.

Each of the Pokémon had suffered a little injury or had been poisoned so there needed to be a way to replenish their health or overcome the poison.

The moment that the poison powder was scattered by Victreebell and it had released its vines to aid its allies, each of Kimi's Pokémon chewed on something which had been in their mouths.

The juices were released from the berry which detoxified the poison a little while Tangela used Mega Drain on Victreebell.

Growlithe followed up and gave it no opportunity to put up another unexpected attack.

The Flame Wheel hit it and caused it to be burned but that was not the end because a combined attack came afterwards from Eevee, Cubone and Scyther.

Scyther passed by it and had used Wing Attack which was just as effective as Flame Wheel was while Eevee hit it with a Quick Attack and Cubone a Bone Club.

The Victreebell seemed to have a much higher level since it was able to take so many hits and still was able to release one final bit of resistance before its death.

Its vine flicked towards the side where Eevee was just before it was about to faint. "Eevee!"

Kimi knit her brows upon seeing Eevee become harmed so she ran to pick her up in her arms before the poison became effective again. "You did well Eevee."

Eevee was already quite tired and had taken damage from the poison in the area so she had held on quite well just like the others so the Vine Whip had done enough to make her unable to continue performing to the best of her abilities.

While Kimi was able to direct her Pokémon to evade incoming attacks through the use of her aura, there were always limitations and splitting it among her entire team was very difficult.

Warning each Pokémon of every danger would be difficult and Kimi had already done well enough to keep her entire team from fainting in the battle.

As she had approached Eevee, she made sure to throw a couple of Pokéballs out towards the injured or fainted Pokémon that remained.

It made it much easier to approach Eevee without being obstructed by the sudden attacks from the remaining opponents in the area.

When Kimi heard many clicks as they were captured, there were still two noises which were familiar to her as two Bellsprouts were able to escape. "Bubble and Vine Whip! Grimer.. you can have these since they are so stubborn."

The Bellsprouts were released but they were still very weakened and unprepared for another round of attacks right away so they fainted quickly on the ground.

Kimi carried Eevee in her arms towards and petted her while going back into the underground tunnels which she came from. "You did a good job."

Eevee showed a happy appearance as her eyes turned to crescents then let out a weak. "Eevee.."

A Pokéblock was placed into the mouth of Eevee and Kimi took out a kit with different types of medicinal sprays, potions, berries and Pokéblocks then laid them out.

Several cotton swabs and cloths were prepared along side them and Eevee started undergoing treatment first which was then followed up by the line of Pokémon which had returned to her side after catching up to her.

After treating them, letting them eat and rest, Kimi returned them to their Pokéballs leaving behind Grimer which was busy digesting and adjusting to its changes after eating a couple of Caterpie and Bellsprout within the same day.

Both the Bug type that uses several poison type moves and a Grass/Poison type were the best ingredients that could fuel Grimer's growth so Kimi left it out so that it could slowly process everything outside of its Pokéball.

Grimer kept watch over the surroundings while Kimi started collecting the Pokéballs lying around along with searching the remains of the dead bodies before allowing Grimer to eat them.

After having a meal of her own and a short rest, Kimi took out a Pokeball and threw it out which followed by her picking up a pickaxe and other tools nearby. "Go little guy, make yourself useful."

Before her was the Bellsprout which she had captured much earlier and had treated, it seemed to pick up on something and walked towards the deeper parts of the underground where Kimi had been fighting.

Kimi followed behind with a smile on her face hidden behind the breathing mask. "Now that the difficult part is over with, it is time to reap the rewards."

Upon being lead towards the place that the Bellsprout brought her, the sound of rocks being hit repeatedly followed as the pickaxe was hitting the rocks and dirt loose to get to what was hidden within.

It was a hard fought battle with some of her team suffering from injuries or exhaustion but they each showed their own individual growth while Kimi saw a profitable future for herself.

There was another realisation which hit Kimi during the battle which had allowed her to come to a decision about the future of one of her Pokémon and the direction it would take.

The next days followed as Kimi continued to train her Pokémon within Viridian Forest with her father, camping out and enjoying meals together in the wild but once the night had come and her father fell asleep, Kimi went back to the underground tunnels and started mining for a couple of hours before using her climbing tools in her bag to climb back out but Tangela was very helpful in using its vines to add extra support to prevent her from falling back down.

After the days had passed and became a week, the father and daughter pair had passed through Viridian Forest and were walking towards Pewder City.

Several greenish stones were within the bag of Kimi which occasionally clinked together as she walked and there were a lot of used and occupied Pokéballs full of different types of bug or grass types.

The major swarms or nests of the Butterfree and Beedrill in many different areas had been attacked day and night using all kinds of hit and run tactics until they finally reduced in numbers enough to be declared within the safe zone or for the task to be considered as successfully and perfectly completed.

The growth of each of her Pokémon during the time training had allowed each of them to reach at least level twenty through all the grinding through many battles and facing dangers while the level twenties like Tangela, Ryhorn, Scyther and Cubone had gained a couple of levels of growth themselves.

If Kimi wanted to then her current teams level would allow her to challenge less competent gyms or trainers affiliated with certain gyms but she was more concerned with how she was going to lighten her load after she had collected so many things.

From the bodies of the miners there were a couple of Pokémon which had been starving for a long time or had died after being left for too long within their Pokéballs so Kimi was still thinking of how she should deal with the living ones after Grimer had eaten the ones that had passed away.
