Remnant: A Battle Within

“Don’t close your eyes or you all might miss the destruction of the world you cherished the most,” a seductive and cold voice echoed through the dark prison where captives were being kept. The sound of unhurried footsteps on the stone pavement reverberated like a countdown to the world destruction. After the stars fell, the world of Prism was plunged into uncertainty and was in the verge of destruction because of a threat still unknown to its inhabitants. Powers started to manifest, a war that was brewing on the horizon and a threat moving in the shadows, these events will either break or create the world anew. And now fallen from grace, Orion must now come to terms with the chaos that was about to begin. Secrets of how it all began will be revealed. Schemes had been executed. Kingdoms had started to fall. But nothing is what it seems in a world where the known became unknown. Fate will continue its course and it doesn’t matter whether he likes it or not. Exasperating...

Thunders and lightning accompanied the heavy rain and no one from the Order was able to sleep while Orion was having a serious conversation with the child version of him in his consciousness. Four people cramped inside one room, one was sleeping deeply while the other three were alert that even a small movement would make them stiff.

Inside Orion's consciousness one big and little Orion were staring at each other. They had been like this for minutes now since the little Orion was suddenly lost in thought.

"Who are you really?" Orion pursed his lips and bored a stare at the child facing him.

"You won't understand even if I explain who I am," the child did not back down and also stared at him.

Orion did not speak anymore and lay on his back to once again look at the endless darkness above them. He had thought of many possibilities and of many identities that can match the child but came up with no one.
