Connor POV
Vito levels a hard look at me and lets his words sink into me for a moment. “Now, back to that horrible excuse of a fight. You used it to throw a tantrum like the spoiled, conniving asshole you so love to be. In turn, you lost my money. A great deal more than some pocket change I could overlook easier. But more importantly, you made a mockery of me, my leadership, and the business I’m running. You practically handed our rivals, along with everyone outside of our crowd, a gold-encrusted invitation to try to bring us down. We are family. All of us, including you." He points at me for emphasis. "And you gave them the impression there are holes in our family. You made them draw the conclusion that we are no longer untouchable. That we are growing weak and susceptible. That we are crumbling. And they ate that bullshit up faster than starved orphans. No doubt they’re biding their time and planning the perfect way to demolish our family along with everything we’ve built.”
