"My lady, are you not going for dinner?" Cherie asked cautiously. She was still not sure if she should convince Eve to have dinner with Damien and Hazel. What if she misunderstood them again?
She slowly shifted her weight as her thoughts felt heavy on her mind. Eve raised her head finally. She smiled at the young woman, finally feeling better after eating a bit of fruit.
"Winter is approaching. I had been to the servants quarter and noticed they were too cold. I am thinking of making a furnace there. But I am afraid that smoke would choke everyone. But hearts would be hard too since dry wood would be expensive soon.
So I am looking for other options. I am sure there must be other ways to keep that place warm." Cherie blinked. Eve had been so obsessed with the construction projects of hers these days. That she hardly had time for other things. She was ignoring the office too and only spent time with Damien if he visited her room.
