Prologue [1] Where It All Started

"Mom! Dad! Stop It!"

A loud scream echoed in the room. It was a dark room with only one light focusing on two people. A man and woman were tied to a chair. Both of them had a nail stabbed in their eyes. Blood was pouring out.

"Please! Leave our child."

"You can kill us, just leave him alone. Please! Plea- Ahhhhhhhhh!!"

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!"

They both screamed as both of their ears were cut down by a man wearing a black robe and a white mask covering his face. His red eyes were visible through it.

"Stop it...!!!"

All this gruesome scene was being seen by a child. Screaming and crying helplessly. Anger, Frustration, Hatred, Sadness. Mix of emotions were running through his heart. He was also tied on a chair, on the opposite side of the two.

"Sir *gulp* isn't it too cruel for a child?" A man wearing the same black robe and white mask asked a man standing in front of him. His heart was pounding fast.

"It's a necessary step." The man replied to the question. He was also wearing the same outfit.

They both were standing in a high place watching the whole thing.

"But Isn't he only three years old?!" The man said again, but this time his voice had a bit of sadness in it.

"Do you want to die too. I already said, it's a necessary step. Don't make me repeat again." The man standing in front of him replied in a cold voice.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" "Ahhhhhhhhhhh!"

A finger dropped on the floor followed by another, then another, another and it continued till sixteen. All the fingers of both the people were cut down, followed by painful screams.

The child was going crazy. He was biting the rope binding him, trying to free himself.

"Please...le..a.ve him." Despite the pain, the woman was still pleading.

"Mom..! Mom!" The child looked towards her hearing her voice.

His vision was blurred due to all the tears falling from his eyes but he could still see his parents. The people he loved the most were covered in blood. It all felt like a dream, a dream he wanted to end as soon as possible.

"Ahhhhh!!" "Ahhhhhhh!!"

The ear-piercing screams filled with pain rang out through the room continuously.

Pieces of human meat were spread on the whole floor blanketed in blood. It had been several hours since the scene started.

The child was still sitting on the same chair at the same place, looking at the mess but there were no more tears falling from his eyes. His eyes were just looking at the whole thing. The earlier eyes full of emotions were now empty, like they were of dead.

*Ding*

'You have obtained the Void System.'

A metallic voice rang in his mind.
