The Final Showdown

Rem: "I-Is he alright??"

Mimilia shakes her head.

"He is, but he is still in danger. I have to seal his wound."

Subaru looks at Mimilia, with his stomach feeling a little bit better.

"That is nice and all, but he's a partner of that kid who stole your Insignia. "

"That is why I must heal him. So he will repay me with the information we need. He wouldn't lie if he finds out his life was saved."

Mimilia said as she heals the old geezer with her magic, which amazes Rem more than Subaru.

"I do this for my own good."

Subaru was confused a bit but now his attention was turned to Rem, who has her glowing horn out.

He slowly puts his hand on her forehead, to see if it's real but it just went through his hand.

Rem looks at what Subaru is doing, and she blushes a bit, not saying anything.

Subaru pulls his hand to prevent any awkwardness.

Going back to the main thing, Elsa dashes to Reinhard, as he doesn't seem to be in the mood for fighting women.

"I don't want to be rude to a woman. I hope you understand that."

Reinhard takes a step as the ground he steps on breaks and there was a shockwave, stopping Elsa that's in front of him and Reinhard kicks her to the side that makes Elsa tumble, but she manages to stop herself from tumbling and looks at Reinhard.

"Just like what they said… … No, you are even better."

Reinhard: "Did I disappoint you?"

Elsa: "Aren't you going to use the sword? I'd like to see if the sword is as sharp as they said."

Reinhard puts his hand on his sword's handle.

"The sword can only be drawn when it's necessary. Since it hasn't left its sheath, it means it's not the time yet."

Elsa gets up once again like nothing ever happened.

"You underestimated me."

"I'm sorry to make you feel that way." Reinhard replies as he sees a sword and walks to it. "So I'll fight you with this."

He used his foot to throw the sword up and he caught, looking at it's quality before Elsa.

"Are you satisfied now?"

"Yes- That's Wonderful!" "Let me enjoy it!"

Elsa says that looking eager to see what this sword saint as Elsa runs and dashes to Reinhard again.

Reinhard swings his blade, breaking Elsa's dagger in half as he catched the piece and she backs off.

Reinhard looks at the blade, and it's sharp.

"I suggest you surrender right now, since you've got no weapon to attack me anymore."

Reinhard threw the broken knife as a dagger right next to Elsa as it sticks to a wall.

Elsa just smiles and dashes to Reinhard again, which Rem noticed, and she screams out.

"Reinhard! She has another one!!"

Before Elsa can reach his stomach, he dodged, leaving him with no wound or no tear from his clothes. Elsa asked unfazed. "How did you know?"

Rem: "I rather not tell it, you piss me off too much.

Elsa: "But I don't just have two fangs. Can we start all over again?~"

Reinhard: "Would it be enough for you-

He points the sword at her.

"If I destroy all your weapons?"

Elsa: "Without fangs, I'll use my claws."

She dashed as she ran and attacked Reinhard, but he blocked her as she backed off to try again and ramble something about her all over again.

Rem: "I-I'm amazed he can keep up, but why can't he can't finish her off with a fatal blow?

Mimilia : "That's because I'm using the spirit magic. He can't fight with full strength."

Rem: "That's how it works? Wait- How is it related?"

Mimilia : "If he uses all his strength while fighting, the magic power in the air will be drawn from me. I'm almost finished healing. Please give him the signal when I'm done."

Mimilia finally finishes as she looks at Rem.

"Please give the signal now."

"Don't worry Mimi! I'll do it for you! Mister Sword Saint, or whatever! I'm not sure what is going on, but go for whatever it is!"

Subaru interrupted Rem, but Rem is fine with that, it's the least he can do right now.

Rem noticed they're exchanging names and titles, but just in case Rem gets that giant club the old man was holding and she stands in front of Subaru and Mimilia, being a meat shield for them.

Mimilia is looking at Rem, wondering why Rem is doing this and why Subaru isn't. He's the man here and Rem is the woman.

The bright light of the sword Reinhard is holding is covering everything in light as the loot house from the inside explodes, leaving lots of damages inside and on the outside eventually.

It's pretty windy but Rem makes sure she stands her ground and looks out of the bowel hunter.

Once it's over Rem looks at the place, and it gives her a gasp, seeing the place is destroyed, it's already in ruins.

"W-wow. I didn't expect this would be the result of… that, but that almost killed us! You said hunting monsters is your specialty right?? I think you are a monster yourself!"

Reinhard looks at Rem, doesn't even change his smile.

"You hurt my feelings with comments like that, Rem."

Reinhard looks at the sword, completely used and fragile as it turns to dust.

"Sorry for using you that way. Rest in peace."

Rem throws the club away as she looks around. "Jeez I wonder how you did this."

She looks at Reinhard. "And you did that with only one blow? I'm kind of jealous really… But not really."

Mimilia helps Subaru up, and he manages to stand.

"Is it over now?"

Asked Mimilia, as she almost fell holding her head, but Subaru and Rem got her, so she didn't fall.

Mimilia looks at Subaru who looks away in a shy embarrassment, even at this place in time, but Rem is just looking at her in the eyes.

Mimilia: "Why are you staring at me? I really find it rude."

Rem blinks before looking to the side.

"I-It's nothing. I just wanted to make sure both of you are alright and none of your limbs or heads are cut off."

Subaru: "? Of Course we still have them, you really must think that a lady with a knife can cut off limbs and decapitate us?"

Rem: "Uhm.. Maybe. Maybe… B-but of course you are right sir, they're still there."

Rem looks at herself, and she's not okay, which both of them noticed just now.

"I think I pushed myself too hard, but I think my arms are still attached as well. I didn't get stabbed or die from exhaustion this time. Ahh~ I'm so relieved…"

Mimilia: "You make that sound like you've been through all of that."

Rem: "W-well. I did. In some way."

Rem looks at Reinhard.

"Ah right, Reinhard. Thank you again for coming for the rescue. You saved me again, and saved two other more."

Rem rubs her eyes as she yawns.

"You must have heard my war cry of cries and you rushed to save my heart once again. I thank you, my friend."

She faces Reinhard when saying that.

Reinhard: "I'll be proud if I can hear that, my friend."

Reinhard looks like everything is already over, and done for today.

Subaru's Thought's: "They're already in a friendship?? How is this possible?? I couldn't even get one person to be my friend!"

Reinhard looks at Felt, who is hiding all this time nearby.

"It was mostly her. She ran through the alley asking for help until she found me."

"She's…"

Mimilia and Subaru both say as Subaru holds his sword but Rem just covers the way of their view.

"No no! Hold on a minute, If it wasn't for her, we would all be dead by now. So may I ask you, please do not attack with your sword or use your magic to attack her, for my sake?"

Mimilia looks to the side.

"I won't do that in the first place."

She looks at Subaru which he quickly lets go of his sword.

"Uh, NO! I wouldn't do that either! Yeah. Wait, for your sake?"

The pile of wood shakes as Reinhard notices and he shouts out her name.

Elsa breaks the wood in front of her as she runs to Mimilia and Subaru holding her broken knife.

She's angry about all of this.

Reinhard quickly runs to Rem.

Subaru then quickly goes in front of Mimilia. Holding his sword, but he can barely hold it.

Rem doesn't know what to do, and she already threw the club far away so she can't block anything.

Rem without thinking quickly rushes to Subaru and pushes them both back as she raises her hands to the sky, letting Elsa hit her, but when Rem gets hit, her horn disappears as two white glowing wings appear behind her and it shows itself glowing as ever.

Elsa hits Rem right in the stomach as she gets knocked back, making the light wings disappear and her light horn come back.

Elsa seeing Rem didn't get hurt made her more mad.

"It's you again.."

"That's enough, Elsa!"

Reinhard runs behind Rem.

Last effort, Elsa throws her broken blade to Reinhard but it just passes by him, not hitting him at all.

Elsa's smile is back.

"One day, I'll disembowel everyone here. I'll make sure to remember all of your memorable faces."

Elsa jumps back to a high place as she looks at all of them.

"Take good care of your bowels, okay? I won't be long soon."

Elsa jumps to the roof and climbs out of the loot house, and there she goes.

Mimilia and Subaru helped each other up as Reinhard rushed to them and asked.

"Are you two alright?"

Mimilia: "Wait, we're not supposed to be the ones who need worrying about! What about her??"

Mimilia goes to Rem as Subaru follows.

Rem stands up on her knees as Mimilia looks at her.

"Are you alright??"

Subaru: "Did you just have any idea what you just did?? What about your stomach woman?? Is it okay?"

Rem: "N-no no! I'm fine! Nothing special happened."

Rem stretches as she looks at the sky.

"I finally got here. Even though I didn't believe I would make it, I made it…"

Rem looks at the both of them as she puts her hands on her waist.

"My name is Rem Sasaki! Please call me Remura!"

She lifts a finger up winking at them.

"I am a lone traveller looking for a job, and it looks like I found one and helped both of you from danger!"

She points at them with a smug smile.

"Will that be okay??"

Subaru: "Uh-

Mimilia: "Okay…?"

They sound like they haven't heard of that word.

Rem: "Oh, it means. Is it fine with you two?"

"Okaaay??"

Mimilia: "U-uh. Okay?"

Subaru: "Uh- Okay? Yeah. Okay."

Rem: "Yes! Okay!"

Rem puts her hands on her waist again.

"Looks like This quest is completed, and both of you may be my potential partners! Who I saved! Since I completed this quest, I should get a reward from you?"

Mimilia: "I understand that. But you can only ask for something that's within my power."

Subaru got grabbed by Reinhard and Reinhard looks to be congratulating Subaru for standing up still, for a butler of course.

Rem: "Then let me have one wish!"

Rem points at her with a confident smile, as Subaru looks at her, but keeps mostly listening to Reinhard.

Rem: "I hope this isn't too much, but! My wish is…"

Mimilia looks concerned as she gulps.

This lady seem to have a confident side within her, and she looks like she has a big wish that Mimilia can't even imagine-

Rem crosses her arms and looks at her with a glee.

"My only wish right now is, for me to know your name."

She offers her hand.

The silver- haired lady just giggles as Rem looks at her.

She looks at her and spoken her name,

"Emilia."

Rem: "W-really?"

She stops giggling and looks at Rem.

"My name is Emilia. Just Emilia. Thank you, Rem."

"Thank you for saving me, and my companion."

Emilia took Rem's hand.

Rem's Thought's: "After all of the wounds and worrying I faced, all the struggles and suffering… all the fighting… All I get is her real name, and her cute smile and their safety…"

Rem smiles back at Emilia.

Rem's Thought's: "Definitely not worth all of it, but whatever."

Rem was about to leave, so she can continue her journey but she stopped for a second to make sure she's alright, and Rem said she's fine.

"I-I'm fine really! There's no need for healing, I can handle myself."

Reinhard: "Are you sure? If you don't mind. I would like to take you home with me as a guest so you can rest and heal up there."

Rem shakes her head as she looks at him.

"I don't need that anymore. I somehow survived her slash.

She rubs her stomach.

"I feel it rumbling, but I don't feel it opening."

Reinhard: "I guess it isn't."

Rem giggles as she rubs her eye.

"Anyways I will continue my journey and-

Rem looks at her hand and it's bloody and the blood is fresh.

Reinhard and Emilia look at Rem and she's in shock as she looks down at her stomach, seeing that she's a slice wound is opening up, and she's bleeding.

Rem: "Oh… I guess we know what happens next…"

Rem's stomach opens up and she bleeds out as she falls to the floor.

Rem passes out a bit before she opens her eyes, seeing Emilia and Subaru and Reinhard concerned seeing this and they need to take an action if they want to save Rem, but Rem is relaxed, looking at them. It seems like she already has faced death a few times, she doesn't even care when she's dying. It's just another checkpoint she'll load again.

Rem looks at Subaru and Emilia trying to make sure Rem stays alive.

Rem's Thought's: "They're really cute together when they panic… Oh well, I guess I'll have to try again later… This world doesn't want to give me any mercy huh? Well...Bring it on…"

Emilia looks at Rem laying down on the floor, unconscious.

"I don't really know her, If I had met her, I don't remember. I'm sure Subaru hasn't because he doesn't leave my sight that much. If anything, this is our first encounter with her."

Reinhard: "but she was looking for the both of you. She said she had to give you something."

Emilia touched her lips.

"That's uncanny."

Emilia shakes her head.

"No, let me take her home. So I can ask her what happened."

Emilia looks at Felt.

"Enough about her. How should we deal with the girl and the old man?"

Subaru kneels down to Rem and checks her appearance and her attributes. She had a horn, but it wasn't touchable and she sounds like the opposite of Ram… Could it be that…? No… no that couldn't be. Subaru may have been saved but he's starting to think about who this person could be and why she looks so similar to someone he knows.

It's been 2 minutes since he's been staring at the unconscious Rem.

Subaru stands up and decides to do nothing for now as he needs to ask questions from Rem as well.

She walks to Emilia, and he stands besides her.

He watched Reinhard return the Insignia to Emilia.

Reinhard: "Please take good care of Rem."

Subaru's Thought's: "I wonder why he knocked that child unconscious."

Light came from the sky as the three of them looked up and they saw the bright full moon of the night. It's so beautiful…

Reinhard: "Today might be the last time that we can enjoy the moon in peace.."

Everyone looks at the beautiful moonlight as this may be really the only chance they'll see it peacefully again…
