[6] Thief

The next morning I woke up feeling warmer than usual, that is when it hit me that Savannah was still sleeping next to me her green hair right in my face with my head on her shoulder. My arms were wrapped around her midsection and she was pressed tightly against me, we fell asleep like this night without doing anything but making out a little.

Lip caught us and his eyes went wide a little but he just smiled and tried to go to sleep, Savannah didn't seem to mind and cuddled into me sleeping. Kind of hard to do anything when you share a room with someone plus we weren't rushing to do anything with each other yet, mainly cause she was currently on her period.

Slipping away from her I was going go go make breakfast, I could hear Fiona walking around the house I had no clue how she could get up so early every morning but she did it. Going out the room she was moving around getting Carl ready for school, Steve wasn't here most likely went out to get breakfast, she went outside to get Debby while I started making breakfast.

Carl was messing around with melted action figures but I couldn't tell what he was planning at the moment, ignoring that I set him down some eggs and toast. Fiona came back in a little mad after talking to Debby, by now Lip and Ian were in the kitchen with us Savannah was still in bed.

"We needed a new water heater the other one blew out." she said holding her forehead.

"Well we can go get one later, You in Lip and Ian?" I asked looking at the two.

"Yeah I will look through the obituaries and see who died, maybe we will get lucky." Lip said picking up the paper, Ian just nodded along.

Moments later Savannah walked out but she was fully dressed instead of just a shirt and panties, "I need to go but I will catch you later okay?" she said walking over and kissing me before walking off.

"Yeah catch you later." I was a little distracted, one because she had a great ass and two because I kept feeling like there was something I needed to do today but it kept slipping my mind. Shrugging it off I turned back to see everyone staring at me, "What?"

"You sure you know what you are doing with her?" Fiona asked a small smile on her lips, but it was her first time seeing me with a girl I am sure she thought I was gay at some point.

"Yeah isn't she a lesbian?" Ian added in looking confused, Lip was also wondering but went back to looking through the paper.

"Yes I know what I am doing. We are taking it slow, or friends with benefits to be exact. As for the whole lesbian thing she is actually bisexual but she just doesn't sleep around with the guys here." I said handing Ian another plate full of food.

"Found one." Lip says setting down the paper, me and Ian nodded before we all finished breakfast and took off. Debby was going to the park, while Carl disappeared somewhere.

We took off to the other side of the southside where the lady had died, when we got there they were having a wake for her so we needed to wait for someone to come out. A man with blonde hair kept opening the door, he looked like he needed a smoke but he was running the whole thing so we needed to wait.

"How do you know he will come out." Ian asked.

"Are you kidding me, the man is a chain smoker who will need to get a fix soon." Lip says smiling, "Just try to act natural and wait." he walked off a second later to answer the phone.

"What are we suppose to say?" Ian asked me putting his hands in his coat pocket.

"Just play it safe, I mean what else can we say besides asking if the guy wants to sell or give us the water heater." I said shrugging.

He nodded along and we had to wait another thirty minutes until the guy came out, Lip talked him down to forty before he gave us the water heater we just needed to wait until everyone left. While we waited we talked about random things and I messaged Savannah he texted me first, she wanted to hang at her place tonight instead of mine.

She also not so subtly mentioned that she had a room to herself... Forty minutes later....

We were joking while walking with the water heater in a shopping cart before Fiona and Steve pulled up next to us, "Hey guys hurry home."

"What's up?" Lip asked right when it hit me, this was the time when Debby stole a kid.

"Debby stole a kid and we need to figure this out." she said looking resigned. We all nodded and hurried home, I texted Savannah that it wouldn't be until tonight that I would see her since there was a family emergency.

We got to the house and Fiona and Debby were waiting in the kitchen for us, we left the water heater outside while we talked about this. Debby started explaining why she did this, I could only rub my neck this girl was a pain, I wasn't looking forward to a couple years later either when she was trying to get pregnant.

Pounding on the door made us jump a little until we opened it and saw that it was just V and Kev, they brought in the kid under a blanket in a basket. V started going off before Fiona and us went into the living room to talk, "Gallagher's don't do Therapy!" Fiona said to Steve who was suggesting that we get Debby help, I kind of agreed with him.

After settling down we started to make a plan, well more like Lip did seeing as he just started taking over, not that I minded the world was forever in our favor so I just needed to go along with it. When the plan was set I was tasked to go and make a call the was originally meant for Carl, grabbing the skateboard I keep under my bed I took off down the street to the pizza place.

Going to the phone booth that was strangely still alive in this day and age I took it and called 9-1-1 telling the about seeing Kacey walking down the street, with a little girl. After the call I got ready to take off and bumped into Savannah who was standing there looking at me weirdly, at the moment a cop car passed by and she raised an eyebrow.

"I am free now, to many cops out here to work." she said not mentioning what just happened, no doubt she heard my phone call no clue how she walked up behind me so quietly though.

"Well let's head back to my house then." I said taking her hand, after helping he get on the skateboard I lightly pushed her as we made our way back to the house. Coming to the back door I no longer saw the water heater, Ian also walked up and we both thought the same thing so we went inside to make sure that our guess wasn't right.

"Hey Lip did you bring in the water heater from outside?" I asked him as we walked inside.

"No, why?" he said looking a little worried.

"Damn, then someone one took it." I said shaking my head.

"Damn vultures!" he said rushing out the back door but there was nothing he could do at this point.

I walked over and picked up Liam who clapped happily, although I hadn't spent much time with him recently I loved the little guy, just wish he wasn't so young. The next part was me getting him somewhere without anyone noticing since they had to move the other kid in the stroller, Savannah didn't ask questions but followed me out of the house.

"You know I love my family but there is always something new." I said chuckling a little while rubbing Liam's head.

"Still at least you know that life is never boring with them around." she said smirking a little.

We walked down the street for awhile before I got a message from Steve to go to the spot, Fiona and them were already there when we got there. We made the switch putting Liam in the stroller and letting Debby take the boy with her, Savannah raised a brow but didn't say anything about it.

After making the switch we walked along the street we were going to meet up with them at Sheila's to make sure everything went okay. Getting over there we stood at the fence and watched as Debby walked the boy down the street, a little girl in an angel outfit ran back to her parents shouting he was back.

The dad started to throw money at Debby and Frank raised his beer and cigarette while walking talking about how his offspring found the lost boy. He walked over and tried to pick up the money but Ian, Lip, and me stepped on his hands and stopped him from grabbing it.

Since the ordeal was over everyone went home, Savannah turned to me, "Wanna go back to my place now?"

I looked over at her an smiled a little, throwing an arm around her shoulder and holding on to the skateboard in the other arm, "Sure let's go before something else happens." She chuckled a little and led me towards her house.
