CHAPTER FOUR: DUNGEON TWO

The bare gravel floors tore my back in. The roof had holes causing water to leak into the dungeons. I am not sure if it was due to the rain or part of my punishment but the room room l was in looked like a toddler friendly pool. And the water was ice cold.

Being a wolf enabled me to withstand the cold but spending seventy-two hours in ice cold water was starting to take a toll on me. And the sad part was that l couldn't turn into my wolf or else l would be exposed.

The ignorant idiot told the guards to starve me making even more weak. Why he would make such a careless decision is beyond me because if l die, his pathetic of an excuse wolf will die too. I guess he didn't pay attention in mates class 101. He hadn't come back to my cage since his first visit.

Which is partly my fault because l decided to show some of my power. The guards came back to bring me dinner and found me sitting at the corner of the cage hugging my head to my knees. Definitely not the position they had left me in. They are all idiots though. Making the connection of me freeing myself would never cross their minds because according to them, l am just some low life omega.

They got freaked out, dropping the plate of food on the dirty ground before running out of the room. According to everyone, l tried to kill their Alpha, which is the biggest crime in the werewolf community. That meant the whole pack was impatiently waiting to see my head paraded on a stick.

That would explain why the guards bolted out the room as if they had seen a ghost. I am the most feared. These people love to contradict themselves. Because of all this, Cornelius took it upon himself to grace me with his presence.

Cornelius has been a thorn on my back. The 'l am better than all of you because my father passed his title down to me' self-righteous man just doesn't know when to let go. He has been coming down to the dungeon to interrogate me. His probably on a quest for a new title and he is using me to achieve it.

"I see you look way worse than you did yesterday. I must say, for an omega you put up a pretty good fight" He said casually strolling into the cage.

"I like to think my charming personality is all the looks l need" l responded with a smile just to piss him off. l am not one to brag but it totally did the trick.

"Just you wait until l am done with you. You won't even know how to smile" He said with a smirk but if you looked closer you could see the twitch of his eyes and the subtle folding of his fingers forming a fist.

"And what are you going to do, drown me in hot water" l asked sarcastically

"It's good to see that you use that pretty head of yours but no, you are not getting away that easy" he said

"Is that a compliment? l am starting to think that you might have a crush on me" l said. I could see a little pink tainting his pale cheeks. He looked away from me to compose himself before looking at me with a straight face.

"I would rather gauge my eyes out than look at you"

"I wouldn't be sure about that if l were you. You make it a mission to come down here every single day even though there is no need for it" l say just to get a rise out of him. The look he gives me would make anyone shiver in fear but l am not easily intimidated.

"That's it. GUARDS!" and his pose of minions come rushing in with an electric wires in hand. The wires were spiking and l knew that this was about to be the worst punishment they had in store. I won't lie, l was starting to feel the heat of the whole situation.

"Do you still think that this is a joke, Commoner." and all l could do was stare at him square faced without wavering. Not liking my response, he took the wires in his hands and swiftly moved out the cage before dropping it into the water.

Ten minutes felt like ten hours of electrocution. All the wanna be's stood at the door grinning like cheshire cats. Probably thinking that they finally managed to make me crumble. But their victory was short lived as Antonio and his pose came rushing in.

Cornelius looked like he was on top of the world. The pain l was experiencing was like a drug to him but Antonio was there to burst his bubble

"What the hell is going on here?" he said screaming at everyone in the room. From the corner of my eyes, l could see some of the guards quietly sneaking out to avoid facing the consequences of following their 'leaders' command.

"If anyone takes another step out of here will face much more grave consequences." and the room went silent.

"l thought you'd be happy" spoke a confused Cornelius. Antonio leaned into his ear and whispered something in code. Knowing everyone had wolf hearing, he spoke in a way none of us could understand. As if delivering top secret information.

Cornelius turned to look at me in understanding. As all of this was happening, my brains were being fried off. As if noticing my discomfort, Antonio ordered the guards to fix the situation. There are a lot of conspiracy theories going around about how being electrocuted makes one intelligent but l felt like all my brain cells were fried off. My whole body felt numb and l was on the verge of passing out.

Before my eyes could close, l saw Antonio losing consciousness, hitting his head on the surface of the water before being carried away like the boss he is. Some of the guards came to my rescue before l succumbed to my body's desires.
