THIRD PERSON P.O.V.

A sigh escapes a young alpha's mouth as he sits in his office. A few days have passed since the downtown incident with his pack partly destroyed. In those few days, questions have been asked to the civilians and most responses are the same. A huge black wolf attacked the pack. Lives were lost and many were injured. Homes were destroyed and many have to reside in the packhouse until homes can be rebuilt. Many thoughts travel through Liam's mind. So much has to be done for everything to return to normal. There has to be a burial for the soldiers that died, construction workers have to be brought in to fix people's homes, but most importantly, that wolf has to be found. It still boggled his mind that a wolf could be the cause of all this. The alpha didn't want to believe it, but when evidence was shown, he couldn't help his shock. On his desk that he received from a detective who got it from a civilian's phone was a picture.

Liam studied the picture for hours. Even if it was hard to believe, the proof was in his hands. A gigantic wolf with piercing cold eyes that could stare directly into one's soul. Honestly, it was quite the sight to see. Liam couldn't help but think hard on what the best course of action would be against this beast. Should he, along with soldiers be sent out to find the damn thing? After witnessing what it did to the rogues and several of his best guards and soldiers, this thing was not to be taken lightly. Would taking on a crew of men to take it down be downright stupid? If even his strongest men could die in an instant, Liam did not want to take the chance. He's lost enough and doesn't want anyone else to die by this monster.

It's the talk of the town about how the wolf is responsible for the catastrophe in the Solar Moon pack. It's already earned the nickname 'Titan Wolf'. Everyone in the pack is shaken up to the core. Parents don't want their children to go to school without knowing if it's still out there. The most that has been done is more guards around the border. No one has reported any signs of it, but that doesn't stop everyone from suggesting the alpha to search for it and kill it. All in all, the pack is in chaos as of now. Something has to be done, and the only one who can make the call is Liam. This causes Liam's head to hurt even worse than before.

A knock is made at the door, disrupting Liam out of his thoughts. With a quick adjustment to his posture, he answers, "Come in." The door opens and Liam is met with a familiar face. One that he's grown to know throughout his whole life. One could say Liam doesn't enjoy seeing this face, since a lot comes with it. "I see that you're hard at work," spoke an older man that from looks didn't appear a day over 20. Of course, the man was much older than that with heavy stubble on his face and a mesomorph body. Liam looked the man straight in the eyes and replied, "Always, father."

The man had dark brown hair much different from Liam's blonde hair. His eyes held a deep resonating warmth that was stern at the same time. This man was indeed Liam's father. The previous Alpha before passing it down to his son now stood in the office of the current alpha. The two alphas stared at each other before another interruption came through. "Good grief. You two are always so serious with one another. Are you enemies or are you truly father and son?" Why did this voice seem to bring more dread to Liam than his father's? In came a man with a set of blonde hair similar to Liam's. An annoyance and thorn on his side whenever he appears. Long and behold, it was Liam's older brother, Edward. The more optimistic of the two brothers. The sunshine to his rainy day. Liam's seriousness faltered when he entered the room with the biggest smile on his face. Make that two familiar faces.

"Give me a break," Liam could feel a headache coming on already. Edward took offense to that and replied playfully, "Now Liam. Is that any way to act towards your brother and father? We came all this way to see you and you're giving us the cold shoulder? Shame on you!"

The boy's father couldn't hold back a chuckle that escaped his mouth. Never a dull moment. Liam looked at his father as Edward continued complaining about his attitude. Noah Matthias Knight. A born leader who became alphas when he was only 20 years old when he was younger. Many praised him for his limitless strength and bravery. He led the Solar Moon pack victories several times over when it came to wars against their kind. He lent a hand to other packs in need and formed treaties all over the country. Many would say he was the greatest alpha of time when he ruled. That is why many people were unsure how he was able to choose his next successor over the many children he has. Some would say he just chose by random, but that was never the case.

Noah has never explained why he made Liam the chosen heir, and he never will. He's seen with his own two eyes how capable that the boy is. He's seen the same praise people gave to him, given to Liam. This pack looks up to his son, and although he has never said it, he's truly proud of his son. However, Liam still has a lot to learn as he grows into his alpha position. With the way things are now, the man can see that the rising issue is taking a toll on his son. Knowing Liam's character so well, he knows Liam would rather solve a problem on his own. It's been that way for as long as the aged father can remember. But Liam has to learn, sometimes even an alpha needs help. That is why he and his third oldest are here.

"Let's talk, son."

ROSALIA'S P.O.V.

Going to the hospital is never fun. Taking several medications is not fun. Staying in bed because you physically can not move is not fun. Well, here I am again, staring at my ceiling. My life is crazy as hell and very eventful. Too eventful. Every time I feel like I'm getting somewhere, I'm sent falling ten steps back. Hard. I haven't heard my wolf say anything since that last talk in the hospital. She was terrifying. I thought at one point she might bite my head off. She called me weak, and I felt weak. I guess slapping that one girl at the beach didn't count for anything. Every time I try to talk to her, I'm hit with silence. Maybe that's a good thing. I don't know what I would even say, and I'm scared for a second meeting.

My eyes widened then I shut them tight. That's exactly what she was talking about. Damn, I thought she was being mean, but she has a point. I can't even be mad at her. Is it bad that I feel like a mistake has been made? I know last time I didn't even get to see her, but I was not expecting our reunion like this. I've been feeling all alone and I was looking forward to her. I guess I shouldn't complain about everything. If anything, I should be happy that she's even here. But I don't want things to stay this way. At some point, we need to talk and reach an understanding. I'm not sure how.

Thinking about this isn't gonna help my mood. Maybe some food from the kitchen will ease the pain. Ever since I got back from the hospital, mom and dad have been taking turns checking on me. They're on this timed schedule where they check on me every hour. It's very touching, but they need to relax. I'm not going anywhere. Although, they're probably worried an incident like last time will happen. I went into my room and disappeared without them knowing and they're not going for that again. Kinda can't blame them. I've been told if I need anything to call them. For the first couple of hours, I didn't need anything but after I told them I was taking a nap, that's when they finally stopped showing up. I didn't really fall asleep, but I needed to make them give themselves a break somehow.

I know my parents care for me, but they have to take care of themselves too. I'll just get a quick snack from the kitchen and come back to my room. Easy. I slowly sit up and feel my muscles tense up. After 3 minutes, I'm off my bed. The good ole grandma walk adds an extra 5 minutes, and I've reached my destination. Yep, easy. Now comes the hard part. Deciding on what I want. Do I want chips? Cookies? A slice of mom's homemade chocolate cake? The best way to solve this is to get a little of everything and top it all off with a soda. It'll be a few more hours until dinner and this can help a bit. As I sit at the table munching on my food, I pause for a moment.

I'm never gonna get anywhere staying quiet. It's easy to tell that she doesn't want to talk about unimportant things. So let's try a different approach. "Hey...what happened to Brittany? I know you said she was...taken care of but...I want to know exactly." Seconds passed on and soon turned to minutes. But I can't give up. "I didn't hurt her badly right? I know I said I hate her, but I would never want to take it too far." Again. Nothing. My hands begin to tremble as my stomach feels like it's sinking to the bottom of a dark abyss. My breath gets caught in my throat as I try to speak again. My mind wraps around the endless possibilities of what could have happened that night. It's only then do I realize anything could have happened that night. I could have done so many horrible things, and the only way to find out is to ask.

"Did...Did I kill Brittany?"

"You finally ask the one thing that you fear the most. I'll be honest. I didn't expect you to do it."

She spoke. She's communicating with me. I should have known this would be the only way, but I can't back down. "Well, I want to know what happened. My memory is a blur. All I remember is the sound of someone screaming."

"If you're so eager to know so badly, then figure it out." Suddenly my mind starts to think back to the moment, I can see that I'm running through the forest in wolf form. My paws connect with the dirt as I make haste. I'm going somewhere. The wind is gliding through my fur. For a moment, it's peaceful. It feels like I'm going for a run, and it's just me and the world. It all comes to an end when I reach the tall silver gates of a modern mansion. I've never seen this place before, but it's quite beautiful. However, my head starts hurting and the image that comes to mind is not easy for the eyes. A bloody body. One that has gashes all over. Blood oozing from every cut and painting the grass red. It's Brittany's body. She's not moving. I can't tell if she's breathing or not. I need to see if she's breathing, but my body won't go any further towards her. I look down to see my paws covered in blood. Oh, my goddess. No. No. No. No. NO!

I snap back to reality and only then do I hear how loud and gas my breathing has become. No! That can't be what happened! I didn't do that! I would never do that! I was just angry; I wouldn't kill Brittany! No matter how bad she's treated me, no matter how angry she made me, would I really end her life over it?! Please tell me that was just a nightmare!

"Did you find the answer you were searching for?" This time I don't answer her. I sit up from the table and can feel my heart beating a thousand times in a second. My hand grips my chest as I breathe even harder. I can't breathe. I need air, but none seems to enter my lungs. I can't think. I don't wanna think, but every time I close my eyes, I see Brittany's body. Oh no. I think I'm gonna be sick. I dash over to the kitchen sink as quick as I can and hurl all the snacks I just ate. Over and over I empty my belly until there's nothing left but an empty shell. I feel numb as I try to steady my breathing. Why is this happening to me?

Out of nowhere, a loud banging breaks my thoughts causing me to jump in fright. Who is that? "This is the police. Open up!"
