CHAPTER 81

  Kara

I looked at Mariana in terror. I could defend myself, but the doctors were clear in telling me I couldn't make sudden efforts for my babies. Her actions astonished me. When she entered the room, I had a small hope that she would help me, but she ended up being part of Sara's club. I had several enemies that I gained without lifting a finger.

"What are you doing? Stay away! Don't come near me. I don't want you back in my room. You're fired," I warned her. But I didn't have the power to fire her. Stefan hired her, not me.

"Or what? Are you going to accuse me, Kara? Will you tell Stefan that Sara sent me to make everyone believe you're crazy? Look at yourself for a second, Kara! No one believes you! You're acting like a lunatic. Who's going to believe you?"

"I don't care if no one believes me, but I promise I'll make you regret threatening me."

Mariana laughed. My comment amused her.
