CHAPTER 52

　　Stefan

　　I felt happiness when my phone rang in the night. I looked at who it was. And I saw my brother's name on the screen.

　　"Hello? Derek, tell me she's okay," I pleaded.

　　Sara was next to me, sipping a glass of wine. I noticed her gaze. My excitement about hearing from Kara worried her. And she didn't like it.

　　"Yes, she's fine. She woke up. No pain, but she's exhausted."

　　"I'll go see her."

　　Again, I noticed Sara's gaze on me. She didn't like me talking about Kara. Sara was a very jealous person. I understood as I knew she felt insecure next to Kara, but Sara had to understand that my ex-wife was not in good health. I had to protect her because there were two babies inside her. And those babies were my children.

　　"No, Stefan. She needs to rest. Come tomorrow. Kara will have dinner and sleep."

　　"Can you put her on the phone? I want to talk to Kara."
