Kara
"Why are you looking at me like that, Derek?"
Sara accused me with a slap on her face. She said you hit her in the bathroom. There's a witness who saw the scene.
"HOW? NO!"
"WHAT? NO! DEREK, THAT'S NOT TRUE! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO HER!"
"I know, my love, calm down. I know you wouldn't do something like that. I know you. But people believe Sara is telling the truth."
"Did she have a bruise on her face?"
"Yes, I saw it. But she could have done it to herself. I know she's crazy. You don't have to explain to me."
I found her in the bathroom. She threatened me, but I showed her I didn't care about what she said. She's doing it on purpose! She wants to tarnish my image, Derek!
"I know."
I looked around. The music was still playing, but the atmosphere became tense. People were talking among themselves, but they were looking at me. I knew they were discussing what happened between Sara and me, but the version they knew wasn't true.
