A VISITOR

The next day while Noah had gone to the office to take care of some work with Paul, Anna decided it was the day to get her things over from Mack's apartment.

Whatever she and Mack had was over as she was now married to Noah. Thinking of Noah, she blushed. It still felt like it was only now that he licked her lips. She instinctively brushed her tongue across her lips.

What has this man done to her?

She got off the bed quickly trying to brush the thought of him from her mind. She hadn't seen him in bed when she woke up and when she arrived in the lounge, Lurch had told her he had gone to work. She had gone back to her room to sleep since it was too early to be awake judging by the time she had slept the previous night.

He didn't even bother to have breakfast and he left. That man didn't care about his life or health. She thought clicking her tongue.

It's not like she was ready to see him, not after everything that happened. Anna easily took out her clothe and stepped into the bath tub filled with water. She couldn't tell why her thoughts were suddenly all about Noah.

She frowned, feeling slightly irritated. She's felt this way before, and the end result of it wasn't something she would love to go through again.

Anna sank deeper into the water and didn't stop till it covered her face. She was too distracted that she didn't notice the noise back in the bedroom.

Lurch moved quietly into his master bedroom with a few maids. He brought them in to change the sheets and more importantly to drop the piece of Jewel that arrived from the auction.

But that wasn't Lurch's problem. He was worried because the person that had brought the jewel was none other than Chalamet. Noah's nosey cousin, who was not only ready to stay for endless hours waiting for his boss to return, but he also wanted to see the woman Noah had gotten the Jewel for.

While everyone at the party wondered who had gotten the priceless Jewel, the Declan family present at the auction knew the man at the second floor. But not only did they hear Noah had attended and wanted to be alone, but he had also attended with a woman he had bought half a billion jewel from.

This action alone sparked their Interest, especially that of Chalamet. He was eager to see the woman that has caught this cold man's attention.

Lurch didn't know if to make his madam unconscious and hide her away from his master's family or to tell her to leave and not come back till his master was back.

If his master was not ready to introduce his wife to his family, what right does he have to let them see his madam yet.

Lurch knew he had to act and act very fast. The Declan's family were crazy people, so far only his boss and wife thought like normal people. He could not even imagine what would happen when they find out their only heir to the Declan's wealth was married to a random woman, not only was he married, he had willed half of everything he ever owns to his wife.

'Oh God please safe me today.' Lurch cried inwardly staring into space.

The family war about to happen would be fiercer than ever. Lurch only hoped he doesn't get caught up in the mix and end up being killed. Killing is one thing the family do without remorse.

Lurch was still lost in his thought when he saw his madam arrive back into the room in his master's white robe. Her hair was wet so he knew she just finished bathing.

"What are you doing standing there Lurch is everything alright?" Anna asked the old man who smiled at her.

"Yes madam, I came to drop this." Lurch pointed at the box on her bed. He didn't know how long he stood here lost in his thoughts.

"They came early." Anna smiled at the Jewel. Though she had first rejected it, now she just loved it.

"I shall take my leave now madam." Lurch said but paused when his hands reached the door.

"Will you be going out today madam, I could ask the maids to serve you breakfast in bed?" He inquired, hoping she would stay inside like she has done since she arrived. But Anna shocked him, "No." She had a few things she had to do. One of it was getting my things from Mack's apartment.

She couldn't waste any more time keeping her belongings with that asshole.

Then it would be best if you use the back door since the front of the house has been fumigated." Lurch quickly said. He would do anything to hide his new madam away from those crazy people, maybe till his master sees fit to reveal her.

"Really, I could easily wear face mask. Passing through that place wouldn't be that bad." Anna suggested but Lurch shook his head quickly. That stupid man Chalamet wasn't a fool, he'll recognize her at first glance and relay the message to the others.

"Master Noah would have my head if anything happens to you. To avoid any form of trouble it's best you use the back door. Don't worry you wouldn't even notice, it's more refreshing than the front. I'll have the car ready when you are." Suddenly a knock came from outside the door and Lurch opened it.

A maid with tray in her hands stepped in. She placed the tray of food on the bedside table before stepping out of the room.

"Your breakfast is served madam, I shall take my leave now." At his words Lurch left the mansion.

Anna found Lurch's attitude suspicious but as fast as the thought came, she waved it off. Whatever it was, she hoped he would figure it out. The old butler has been nothing but kind to her since she arrived here.

When Lurch arrived back in the lounge, he found Chalamet missing. He wondered if the man has decided to leave or was he...

Lurch panicked at his thought and quickly rushed to the kitchen to find the maids and ask about the man but when he arrived.

"This is delicious." Chalamet beemed as he took another harmless bite from the food.

"Sir Chalamet it seems you made yourself comfortable." Chalamet's brown eyes met the old butler but the smile on his face didn't fall.

Lurch was a bit hostile around this man cause he knew his master Noah wasn't at all fond of him. I fact if Noah was here, this man wouldn't be visiting.

"This is my brothers mansion Lurch, it would be strange if I'm not comfortable." He smiled.

Lurch stared at the maids who went ahead with their work. He knew they were there stupid to rattle on their master no matter what. That is just one rule Noah kept around his mansion.
