Vials of Souls

I was wearing a dark purple mage robe and that went all the way from my shoulders to my knees. Mymedium length hair was kept in a bun so that it would not get in the way of any spells that I might cast.

Around my waist I had some vials that were see through and a few of them had some magical writing at the base of them.

The sky was being covered with a dark blood red foggy mist as I guided the humans that had decided to join me on the path to eternal youth in a life without suffering through the forbidden Forest that was on the very eastern edge of the known world.

The trees from this Forest were mostly bare and did not show much of a sign of any kind of life.

"Now I know that you do not want to believe me; but if you want to make the final leg of this journey you must push beyond the boundaries that all of your previous rulers have set upon you.

In this forest there are a great many mysteries that they have lied to you and decited you into believing that they are the work of demons. How foolish are they to be terrified of the unknown.

Just make sure that you are willing to go all of the way to reach the end of this journey before you take another step". I said to all of them as I walked into the edge of the forbidden forest so that they would see that nothing happened to me as I entered it.

I am hoping that they will listen to me once again because I need to have as many of them as I can in order to fulfill my end of the bargain to my benefactor. The only thing that he said he wanted was willing people to follow him to the ancient city of the undead; and in exchange for me bringing him the group of willing followers he would give my husband a new body and we can begin our campaign to take back this world from those disgusting heroes that obliterated Zogg's original body.

"How do we know that we can trust her?" One of the elderly men asked everyone as he refrained from walking into the woods.

"Come on follow her to a new life with new possibilities. We have seen the miracles that she provides us as evidence of what she can do. That is all I need to know about her in order to trust her". One of the younger men who was bald and war a T-shirt and pants that were not fancy designed at all which meant that he was of middle class or lower status most likely.

Shortly after the bald man spoke everyone began to smile and follow with the exception of a handful of elderly people that seem to be unwilling to go into the forbidden forest in order to continue their journey.

"Why do you few still doubt me?" I asked in a soft voice so that they would understand that I was not hostile towards them.

As I approach them all of the messed up in front of their wives as if they were taking a stand against me would not allow their wives to be suede by a single word that came out of my mouth.

First gentleman that I saw black hair for the most part but the tips of it were starting to turn gray which meant he was most likely in his late fifties at least. He war a lot nicer clothes than most of the young people who had injured into the forest willingly. He had on a single robe that was purple and white which representing his wealth which meant he was at least as wealthy as a merchant for a religious figure in this world.

"We believed in you but we do not want to walk in blindly into the forbidden forest. Legends are made for a reason and we are not as unintelligent as the younger generation when it comes to our world history". One elderly man said to me as he looked at me with a look of mistrust and worry.

"Yes what he said. As the former chief advisor of royal cabinet for the human empire I am not going to just blindly follow you without proof that the forest is safe." Hey younger man that had on a three piece suit listed of a nicer pair of pants, a new shirt, and a dress shirt that went over it said to me.

"Well unlike you two I will take the risk of trusting her. I was not satisfied with the simplicity of my life in the dwarven capital city. My wife and I will follow you mistress". The final man said is he bound to me and want into the forest.

"Can I possibly change your mind in any way about not wanting to join me on the last leg of this journey?" I asked the two men who were staying behind kindly.

"We are not going to change our position on the current situation". They both sent to me in unison as if they were no longer two separate individuals.

"Well if you have made up your mind on it then there's only one way for me to solve this. You will be a much more Worthy sacrifice then if you are brought against your will. the benefactor will most likely enjoy that." I said as I smiled at them evenly since I did not see a reason to hide my evil intentions anymore.

I then grabbed one of the magical vials that were around my waist and as a opened it pointed it at them and their bodies were pulled in to the vial but they did not have the chance to make any noise due to the swiftness of the device.

One after the other they all became a material to be used as a means to free my husband from the bounds of death.

After I resealed the Vial of Souls I placed it back on my belt and walked through the group to the front so that I could guide them the rest of the way to their new promised land and a new wonderful life that awaited all of them.

It took me about 3 more hours of walking to make it to the deepest part of the forest. I maintained a barrier around the group so that no enemy would try to get close since I did not want them to panic and run away when they were so close to the last leg of their journey.

As we made it to an ancient city I looked at what had become of it. It was not as ruined as I thought it was going to be looked quite magnificent with green and black colored tiles and a large variety of different streets that were paved with stone around the whole city.

"Come and hear my teachings if you want to learn the truth of eternal youth and the salvation of Sinfrestris". A tall and skinny man with white hair and a mustache that seem to twirl with the wind said to the citizens as I walked up to him.

I knew that I was one step closer to uniting with my husband which I would achieve no matter who I had to kill or what I had to do since he meant my entire world.

Would I be able to trust everything that this man said to me or would he stab me in the back just like the wood elf who made the magical cocoon that trapped me for 200 years did in order to control me.
