1. Breaking Alpha's Rule

The tension grew more and more gripping, the residents of the kingdom who were none other than a group of werewolves had gathered in the spacious room. Everyone had expected that today there would be one executed by the Alpha King.

The Larantuka Kingdom is a kingdom that houses all werewolves in the Black Forest at that time. The king who led the werewolves was known as a king who was cruel, resolute and had no compassion for anyone who broke the rules.

Today Alpha King will judge his daughter. Alice is the only child of the Alpha King, she is one of the most respected people in the Black Forest because she is the child of an Alpha. She is a woman who has always been the pride of all residents of the Larantuka kingdom because of her attitude which is very contradictory to her father. She is kind, brave, and also very independent. Alice's martial arts abilities are so great, she can defeat three werewolves at once like when she helped Tristan some time ago.

The werewolves didn't yet know what exactly was the mistake made by Alice and a human who was now kneeling at the Alpha King's feet.

Tristan, that handsome man has managed to win Alice's heart. Although Tristan is an ordinary human being, his very noble, brave, and mighty personality, makes Alice fall in love with him. However, their love story did not run smoothly. Like a road filled with gravel, that's the twist of their love story.

Alpha King's anger flared when he found out that his only child was related to a human. Because it is very contrary to existing regulations since several thousand years ago a werewolf is forbidden to love humans.

Of course, Alpha was angry, because all werewolves knew about the rule. He had also repeatedly reminded Alice not to have anything to do with humans, let alone to love her. But Alice violated all of that, forced today the Alpha King would judge his daughter with that human.

"Is it true what I heard?" asked Alpha King in his characteristic heavy tone.

Alice was silent, she could only reply with a small nod.

"How dare you tease my daughter, don't you realize that you are only a weak human. Look at her, she is a werewolf and she is the daughter of Alpha. How presumptuous you are to love him," Alpha King snapped at Tristan. He didn't blame his daughter because he thought Tristan had influenced Alice.

PAll the werewolves present there looked at each other, they did not expect that even the daughter of an Alpha could commit a very fatal offense, namely loving humans.

"Father, but I love him too," Alice tried to defend her lover.

"Your Majesty Alpha King, I have been presumptuous of loving your daughter, even though I know that I am only a human and she is a werewolf, but know that my love is so sincere for Alice," said Tristan who started to raise his voice. The man kept his head down while kneeling under Alpha's throne.

While Alice was beside him accompanied by two large werewolves, they were tasked with restraining Alice if she did something unwanted.

"I don't care about any of that. Humans like you still don't deserve to be side by side with werewolves like us, we're different. So I make two offers to you, if you forget my daughter and go away from your life, then I will let you go and let you live in peace. But if you insist on still loving my daughter then I will kill you right now because that has been the rule of the werewolf nation since long ago!" snapped the Alpha King while pointing at Tristan who was still kneeling under his feet.

Almost everyone was surprised to hear the words from the Alpha King, especially Alice and also Tristan. The two of them looked at each other as if to imply the pain they were harboring. They should know that their love story will never be able to unite because they are different.

"Father... Don't do that," Alice pleaded quietly, wanting her to kneel under her father's feet so that his wish could be granted, even she would kiss his father's feet if it could make his father's heart melt. But unfortunately, the two soldiers gripped his hand too tightly so he had difficulty moving.

"Answer me while I'm still being kind to you!" Alpha exclaimed, apparently she didn't care about her daughter's request at all.

Tristan looked back at his lover who was already in tears, of course, Alice immediately shook her head as soon as their balls met.

"Don't... never sacrifice your life just for our love. Go far away and forget me, go to your previous life because your place is not here. You're human and I'm not, we can never be together, Tristan. Your life is more valuable than just our togetherness." Alice seemed to know that Pandu was looking at her for an opinion. So she loudly said that their love could not be compared to life.

She is willing to lose Tristan, as long as Tristan is still in this world.

"Shut up, Alice! I want to hear an answer from this ignorant man," snapped the Alpha King.

"OK. I will answer your question." Tristan just spoke up after a long silence.

"I'm Tristan Marcelino, I'm only human, I also know that Alice and I are very different, there is a gulf between us. I realized that I'm just a weak human this doesn't deserve to love a werewolf who has strength, and I'm the one who is guilty of this. But I firmly say to His Majesty the Alpha King that there is nothing wrong with our love. Alice and I love each other sincerely. Long before I confessed my love to him, I was determined to accept whatever the consequences would be for falling in love with a werewolf." Tristan stopped his speech, he glanced back at Alice who was sobbing while shaking her head, as if she already knew what answer Tristan would give to his father.

"I know that if I love Alice, I will have to pay a heavy price, I have nothing but my life. Then it would probably be a commensurate price for my love for her, I love Alice with all my heart, so I won't feel a loss if I have to lose my life to fight for her. I will still say that I love Alice," continued Tristan firmly.

Everyone was astonished, no one expected that Tristan would be so brave to make that decision. Especially King Alpha, his face flushed red from feeling that he had been humiliated by a servant in front of the other werewolves.

"Tristan!!!! Are you crazy? Take back what you said," Alice shouted, struggling to be released. She cried hysterically, her chest constricted and her heart broke. She knows Tristan did that to fight for their love, but what Tristan is risking is his own life.

"Princess, don't cry. Trust me that my sacrifice will not be in vain, I will love you to death, you will be the first and last woman I love," Tristan replied, a beautiful smile etched on his lips. Although Tristan's heart was just as broken because this was the last time he could see the woman he loved so much, but he still tried to give her the most beautiful smile.

It wasn't that Tristan wasn't afraid of losing his own life, but he was a man with a warrior spirit, a sense of responsibility lingering in every breath he took. He didn't want to turn into a cowardly man who lied to his feelings just because he was afraid to die. If he has dared to love a werewolf as well as the daughter of an Alpha then he must be prepared with the consequences he will receive.

"Okay, if that's your choice. Prepare to meet your end," Alpha King's voice sounded very angry because he felt challenged by Tristan.

"You take him to the middle of the forest, tie his hands on the wood, then whip him to death! For others, you can see and use this as a lesson, don't let anyone break this rule again. I have often told you that you should never approach humans because it will only bring calamity to you," ordered the Alpha King.

"But why? Humans are good, they are not our enemies, what's wrong with falling in love with humans?" asked Alice boldly.

"Alice! You already know, don't you, that the rules have been around for a long time. Just so you know, actually your mother is also a human, that's why now you are born different from other werewolves. But Alice, humans, and werewolves will never be able to unite even though they already have children. I don't want you to love him deeper," said Alpha.

Alice was wide-eyed that was the reason why she was different from the other werewolves. So, once his father fell in love with humans.

"Don't argue with me again, quickly do as I command!" Alpha said as she went to watch Tristan who was about to be punished.

"Nooo!!! Do not ...!!! Don't, Dad. Don't hurt Tristan," shouted Princess Rosalina, who was still trying to prevent this from happening.

But no one wants to listen to his words, as long as Alpha has given orders then no one dares to fight him.

Two werewolves came and grabbed Tristan's hand to take him to the field as Alpha ordered.

"Tristan… Don't take Tristan away! Let me go, let go!!! I want to save Tristan, let go!!" Alice struggled to be released, she had put all her strength into trying to catch up with Tristan. But the pain in her heart made her lose a lot of strength.

"This is what happens if you don't listen to me," said the Alpha King.

"Really, I want to say this, if I could choose it would be better if I was born as a human instead of being a werewolf and being the daughter of an Alpha," Alice said very loudly, no more fear and respect in her for the Alpha King, Now all she feels is anger and hatred.

Even though all this time Alice was a very obedient child, although sometimes her heart did not agree with the cruel decisions of the Alpha, there was nothing she could do against it. But not anymore, she will not stay silent watching the people she loves fall victim to her father's cruelty.

"How dare you say that!" snapped the Alpha King.

"What I said earlier is the truth, even I am ashamed to admit you as my father."

"ALICE!!" The Alpha King was getting more and more furious.

"Bring the ignorant child to the field so he can see how his beloved lover is tortured to face death," ordered Alpha King. "But remember, don't let go of her, if she rebels, just tie her hands," he continued.

"Okay," the werewolves nodded respectfully, then they dragged Alice out of the room.

"I swear, you'll regret your decision," Alice shouted.

The two werewolves continued to drag their hands towards the middle of the vast forest, there had gathered all the werewolves who inhabited the black forest, they came to see Tristan who was about to be executed.
