Reincarnation of a Failed Author: I Hate Clichés

"I hate clichés," I mutter under my breath, frustration etching lines on my face as I stare at yet another overused plot blowing up on the website of the novel I'm publishing. It's a constant cycle of disappointment for me, with no viewers, no readers, and certainly no feedback. In other words, I'm a failed author, stuck in a rut of uninspired storytelling. I can't quite recall when my disdain for cliché tropes first took root, but one thing is for certain— I found myself reincarnated into another world after an unfortunate encounter with a truck. Typical, right? I die in a cliché manner and end up in a whole new reality. "Damn it, I had to go and die in a cliché way too!" I grumble, shaking my head at the irony of it all. But this time, I have a new name, a new body, and even magical powers to boot. I'm now known as Helis, and this is my chance at a fresh start. After hearing the name of the world I had reincarnated into, Crisyes, I realized it was the world of the novel I had only written the concept about. It seems I've been thrust into the world that is on its last living decades. The details elude me, but I'm certain of one thing—this world is on a collision course with chaos. What I didn't anticipate, however, were the lingering threads of my previous life, the invisible connections that bind me to Earth. These mysterious [Story] strings will come back to haunt me, weaving a web of uncertainty and challenges that I'll have to navigate sooner or later. I may despise clichés, but little did I know that I would become entangled in a story far beyond my control. It's a tale where my past and present collide, and only time will reveal the true extent of its consequences. ------Notice------ THE STORY WILL TAKE TIME TO BUILD! Yes, it will start as a normal reincarnation story with cliché elements and cringe events, but the energy will shift at the last chapter of the first volume. The story will focus more on the development of the characters and world-building, not just, "Wow, found a golden cup which I'll drink from and become immortal." No, I will make it as realistic as possible, especially the characters. Oh, and the mc has a knack to trigger cliché events, that's one of the reasons he hates them. If you care about horny chapters, they do happen but later on when the time is right. That's it here, please support me through this journey, and most importantly: Enjoy!

I just wanted to tell you all that quite some POV shifts will happen in this chapter, and if you are enjoying it so far, please vote Powerstones, drop reviews, and let's hope I soon will be able to sign the contract!}

Sean Dayward POV:

"Huh? What happened?!" I looked around the ruins but no one was around.

"So it truly was a teleportation circle. Why am I left alone though…?" I gazed upon the room again, searching inside and outside the whole ruins, no one was to be found.

My body drenched in sweat as I realized, "Does that mean I am stranded on the sixth floor alone?"

Shit. Shit. Shit…

What do I do? How do I deal with this? Will I be able to survive? Will I be able to survive the Grendel's attacks? Will I be able to survive against the Grendel? Will I get killed by the Grendel?!

No!

I will do whatever is needed to survive on the sixth floor, whether it is to not sleep, eat monsters, or even offer my limbs.

"Hahaha…" I laughed with excitement, "What a time for me to train alone and fight to my fullest!"

***

Luke Crimson POV:

"Kgha!" I was falling from a tree, lots of its branches hit my body all around.

"Phu!" Breath left my lungs as I made contact with the ground.

"Where in the hell am I?" I stuttered, different colors filling my unfocused sight.

"Huh!" Realization hit me all over again as I scanned my surroundings.

Could this… by chance be the Savanna?

Am I back on the fourth floor?!

Crap, crap, crap, crap?! How do I deal with all this?

I cannot fight hundreds of bat-spiders and sirens, I am not even awakened anymore!

"Ahh…" A lamenting cry left out of my throat as I considered the number of possibilities my life could end until I get back to the party…

"Should I give up and just kill myself painlessly…?" I thought with pure honesty.

I just can't see myself surviving to the end of this dungeon.

"Haha… I had such high potential to be a strong mage, but in the end, I became disabled. With this, I think it will quickly be all over…" I took hold of my rose-colored blade, moving it close to my throat.

"Hah, this is nerve-wracking, but it will only hurt for a minute or two…"

"Aaagh!" I screamed, finally thrusting my blade… or so I thought.

"Huh…" An unnatural force kept my hands from moving further into my body…

I teared up.

Filled up with this crap, "You piece of shit, what do you want from me?! At least let me die in peace!" I yelled to particularly nobody but the air, and the so-called Dungeon.

"Why…? Why do you love to see suffering so much?"

***

Ren Uemura POV:

I was seeing a dream… Hehe.

What a beautiful dream it is… Surrounded by girls and all that.

"Ah, hold on there, sweetie, you shouldn't be so rough on me or else I'll finish quickly." I caressed the woman's head who was doing a favor down to my buddy over there.

Three other women were embracing my body and tasting my man-cherries, ah what a bliss it is.

Another one suddenly thrust her fingers inside my mouth.

"Hoho, quite a nasty one, aren't you?" I said with difficulty while licking her fingers.

"Hmm, you want your fingers moistened, hehe, come here!" I took hold of her waist and pulled her close, giving her a passionate French-kiss.

"That's enough down there," I tried stopping the oral service woman, "Oi, stop… you're making me…"

"Gha!" I gagged and came back to reality.

"Ah… Aaah!" I screamed, terrified of the slime that was touching the inside of my mouth down to my pharynx.

"W-What are you doing!?" I crawled on my back, feet slipping by the force I was pushing through them.

The Siren tilted her head as she pulled her outstretched tentacle back to her former form and into an arm.

"Shit… why are you looking at me with such an earnest look, and why won't you attack!? I yelled and yet got no reply.

Whoa!? I looked down at my body… What a weird time my thing found to be activated… huh? I looked around to my left, a crystal that shined into a greenish hue was on the wall.

"Wha–?!" I looked up, "You've got to be kidding me…" I screamed within myself, realizing this was the second floor.

***

Mai Sakaguchi POV:

"Khca, khca!" I coughed as I drifted towards the shore, I seemed to have gulped quite some water...

"Hah…" I sighed as I lay openly on the sand, taking a good breath of fresh air.

Hmm… but it doesn't seem as fresh as earlier.

"Huh?" I opened my eyes and could see a clear sky upon my head, with a heating sun too.

"No, no way!" I said in disbelief, closing my eyes, hoping not to see that scenery again…

"Agh, fuck, the fifth floor?" I sighed, "This is all I needed, back one floor, great!"

I got agitated by the loss of progress we had made and soon after began yelling the names of my companions. After three minutes of doing so on this small island, I just slumped on the ground.

"Ah… amazing, isn't it? All alone on a hellish floor," I sighed again, trying to process what has happened to me.

"So, Helis activated the magic circle, hoping it would teleport us deeper into the sixth floor, and here I am now. Shit…" I realized one thing or so I thought it would be like that, "Does that mean everyone is scattered around the dungeon?"

***

Like this, as Mai had stated earlier, everyone got scattered throughout the whole of the dungeon, though it was by no means intentional, it had happened.

Now, they were all left alone inside this hell. Where they would have to take care of themselves alone.

Alas, everyone was left jaw-agape when they saw a board next to them, "Congratulations, you have now joined the '2.0 Update' of the Dune Dungeon."

Yesh, this happened. Luke is now a suicidal kid that doesn't see any hope after being pushed this much to the edge.

I hope you enjoyed the different pov's and will continue to do so from now on too!

As I always say, please support me and enjoy!
