X777 and a Mission

A few years have past now. Master has gone out, Natsu should be arriving today. I now have a small shack on the outskirts of town. Gramps has taken care of me until the last 2 years. I walk over to the request board, this will be my first solo mission. I look at the board and see a job to take out some monsters. "70,000 jewel, looks good. I'll have enough to last me a month on food with about 40,000 to spare." I mutter to myself.

"Hey brats, I'm back, and I've got a new member!" I hear as the door slams open to reveal Gramps and Natsu. I walk up and look at Natsu.

"Don't let anyone give you a hard time, the may tease you for being different but they're all good people," I say. "The stripper over there is Gray, the redhead in armor is Erza. Don't make her mad and if you value your life don't touch her cake. The 3 over there with white hair are the Strauss siblings, the boy is Elfman, and the girls are Mirajane and Lisanna. I'll let the others introduce themselves." Natsu simply nods. "Hey, Master may I take this mission?" I ask showing the flier.

"Sure, just be careful." Master replies. I walk out and go to the train station and board the train to Hargeon. After a not too long train ride I arrive. I walk towards the client's house and knock.

"Hello, I'm the wizard FairyTail sent." I state as the door opens revealing an average looking fisherman.

"But, you-"

"I may be a kid but I'm a full fledged wizard. Don't judge someone based on how they look or what you hear about them." I state bluntly.

"Okay... The monsters are out at sea, are you sure you can handle it?" He asks.

"Well, If I couldn't I wouldn't be here would I?" I retort heading towards the docks, "Now let's go." Once we are out at sea I silently ask, "Hey Serena, how should I go about this?"

"Just follow your instincts, they won't betray you. But even so stay vigilant." she says.

"Okay, we should be at the spot, these squidsharks are ruining our ships." the fisherman says.

"Leave it to me." I say as I jump overboard. "METAL MAKE; SCUBA GEAR!" I yell. I equip said scuba gear and swim down about 50 feet until I see tentacles. "That must be it." I think. I use my newly acquired requip magic to summon 2 swords. "No wonder Erza uses this magic, it's so convenient. To bad I can't requip armor yet." I think as I approach the first squidshark. I slash at the unsuspecting squidsharks eyes. I hit my target head on but now the squidshark is using it's tentacles to try and grab me. I slash at each tentacle until all 6 are nothing but stumps, now that the squidshark has no way to move I stab at it's brain going for the kill. Blood seeps out through the sea water as I had planned. "Now I wait." I think to myself. After a few minutes 2 more squidsharks approach me. "Well, this will be interesting." I think to myself as the squidsharks come closer. I go to requip into a spear for range but I get a crossbow instead. "Serena, why the hell do I have a crossbow, I never even bought one!" I tell Serena flustered.

"Based on the current situation I used the materials left in the storage dimension of your requip space to make a crossbow that works underwater." Serena replies calmly.

"Well, might as well see what this thing can do!" I reply. *Pew* *Ptch* Bulls eye, or rather squidshark eye! That one bolt went through it's eye and went straight through it's brain killing it. "Damn, now this is a crossbow!" I tell Serena.

"Of course it is, I made it." She says snarkily. I just roll my eyes. I shoot the other squidshark in the eye getting another kill. Now I wait for the alpha. After a solid 5 minutes I consider heading back but just as I do I feel something wrap around my leg.

"Well, shit." I think to myself as I pull out my dual blades. I hack at the tentacle around my leg but due to this mutated alpha squidshark's tough hide my sword breaks. Instead of losing hope I manage to get an enlightenment of the element of metal, I see how to not just make it, but to form it. "MODELING!" I yell, unfortunately it seems I forgot I as underwater. As I yelled my swords come together to make a bigger, heavier blade that is much sharper than the original and is somehow easier to wield. With this new sword I attack one more time and leave a cut so clean an obsidian blade can't even compare. An obsidian blade can be as sharp as 3 nano-meters thick. Meaning this sword is sharper than any blade on earth at the time I left. I slash again at the squidshark this time going for it's eye, this time it manages to parry with another tentacle, I follow up with a thrust at it's other eye, again killing it. "Serena, store it." I say as I feel a need for oxygen. I swim up seeing the monster disappear and as I surface I see the fisherman about 10 yards away. "Hey, over here!" I holler. He brings the boat towards me and asks, "Did you get all 4?"

"Yes, it actually wasn't too hard, let's get back to land so I can receive my payment." I say with exhaustion evident in my voice.

"Sure, it only took you a half hour so as gratitude I'll give you an extra 1,000 jewel." The fisherman says thankfully.
